  1. I am kind of jaded and having a little temper tantrum. I was offered the code last night for the 15% off and when I went to use it, it would not work. Now I will be damned if I am only going to get a 8% rebate or 10% off knowing I should have received more.
  2. Exactly... but after attempts of being scammed and dealing with headaches too many times because of customs and everything this is how it is going to be. The service is there. If it wasn't then in many cases those outside of the United States would have absolutely zero access to certain items. I am also under the belief that eBay Global Shipping is able to more carefully vet international sellers since the GSP assumes liability in certain cases. In the last week I have shipped a piece of jewelry to Australia and one to Hong Kong. I have shipped four GI Joe figures to Canada. Those buyers would have zero opportunity to buy these items if I was not using GSP.
  3. Yup - and not only that. If I were not to use Global Shipping then I would not sell internationally at all. Problems with international sales or buyers before GSP: quite a few. Problems with international sales or buyers after I started using GSP: none. So if anything GSP expanded my sales opportunities because there is no way I am shipping to anyone outside of the United States when eBay or PayPal is concerned without it.
  4. I personally have no problem selling through it. While I understand that the buyer's pay more I have sold more items internationally since I signed up for it.
  5. I own a copy of this and will be purchasing an additional copy of this to leave around when it come time to retire... which cannot happen soon enough... Today as I was on my way home I was greeted with a sheet being pulled over someone who died on the L train. Yesterday my commute was met with sitting on the floor as there were no seats on the LIRR. Last Thursday though was the most interesting. Someone looked at myself and a coworker and made a pained expression and squatted to defecate in front of us. https://patch.com/new-york/west-village/man-found-dead-l-train-police-say
  6. If it wasn't for the Global Shipping Program some of those outside the United States would never have access to certain items. I use it and I do understand the enormous fees that eBay slaps down on the buyer. However, it is up to the buyer to determine whether or not they value the item at the overall cost of obtaining it. I compare it to the buyer's premium on Heritage. I'm not happy about that to tell you the truth so I ignore most comics and only pay attention to certain pages of art. I factor the BP and NYS Sales tax into my bid on an item. If it works for me then so be it. If not, the sun will still rise and there is always something else that may pop up.
  7. I was offered the coupon. I genuinely tried to check out for the past ten minutes and then gave up at 9:59 EST (Coupon expired 7PM PT) Took a screenshot... What a shame...
  8. I think when they bring them in it will be similar to how they brought in Spider-man which was from the Avengers perspective. No origin story... just along the lines of, "Hello, Charles Xavier, my name is Tony Stark and I'm a big fan of yours." There is a part of me that thinks that Stark will not be killed off in Endgame. I think they want this option to bring him back from time to time to drop into other movies if required. Of course RDJ would not mind suiting up for the boatload of cash he will receive each time.
  9. Two days ago in the FB group when told not to do the trade he said that he "pulled the trigger". It is in the CGC pressing group. I do not press don't ask. There is a man in Florida that I ask from time to do that and he does excellent work. However it is... an 'interesting' group to follow. Simply go there and type in '181' and it will come up. He said he pulled the trigger. I assume that he confirmed to do the deal.
  10. don't show me those pics. There was something in there I raised an eyebrow at and went hm... I should get one. I offered everything on the FB group first. Not a single sale except people saying that they would paypal me immediately if I accepted a lower price. I jacked the prices up and they have been selling fairly well on eBay where even considering the fees I was making more than full ask on Facebook. You just reminded me though... there is something I need to look for on eBay for my modern figs.
  11. Know what... let's just erase that comment.
  12. Apparently at Yankee Stadium even in the bleachers you are no longer allowed to scream out Boston Sucks. That tidbit of information comes with several warnings from Yankee Stadium security. So... Boston performs like a vacuum!!!!! NYPD found us funny... Yankee Security did not. Which brings us to the next memory. Classmate: "Science sucks !" Brother Meehan (overhearing this as he is entering class): "Gentlemen, science neither sucks nor blows. If it did everyone would want to become a scientist."
  13. It's a race it really is. Keep it and store it for a little while more risking that they decompose and break and are worthless or sell them off now and make less of a profit than what I would six months from now. I am comfortable selling now. I have had a flood of lowball offers come in today due to the 15% off eBay coupon and requests to break up certain Lots of figures. For example, I have two crisp crimson guards that I will only sell bundled with Tomax and Xamot. I have not noticed any cracked elbows on the 88' Stormshadow. My brother and I each have our original samples of that figure from when we are kids. My home stores his 'stuff' in one of the storage rooms in my basement. I went to check. Alley Vipers from 1989 seem to be a problem though.
  14. That invasion of Cobra Island Set is one of the greatest seven packs they ever released. That is the one Outback came with. I have been selling off the vintage but am not parting with the moderns.
  15. Phil's Parking Lot is in reference where two members of the board wanted to, threatened to, insinuated, (I honestly don't remember nor really care) engage in a physical altercation with one another and were going to meet up at Phil's Parking Lot. All I really remember about it was that some of the memes were epic. They Paved Paradise and Put up Phil's Parking Lot...
  16. And with that said... strange sale Canadian Buyer using Global Shipping (I only use GSP for international) Had BIN / BO on each listing and the buyer utilized the BIN - he did not make an offer. Snow Serpent Complete $35 Rock n Roll Swivel and Straight Arm Complete but One BiPod and One Filecard to share between them - $75 Cobra Commander Battle Armor Complete with Filecard $25 Covergirl $35 The value of these things do seem to be increasing at least from what I paid for them a few months ago. The tradeoff is that pieces and parts continually break and degrade so I want out of what I bought and either make a little something or break even. With that said, I do not understand why people believe that a bubble mailer is sufficient to send this stuff in. Someone just reported how they received a joe in a bubble mailer that broke in transit. Knowing what I know about GSP, figures were bagged then individually placed in a single figure clamshell placed in a row and bagged that way to create a rigidness (or inner well if you will - CGC nod) and BOXED. I will never understand what the big deal is in between paying for a soft mailer and getting a free box.
  17. But... not “scared” again this thread disappoints Is anyone scared ?
  18. Paging @comicwiz I am tempted to pick one of these up but my brain is telling me to wait and see what appears in the retro line. It's exactly how I would have envisioned it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/REAL-NICE-CUSTOM-Han-Stormtrooper-POTF-17-Like-Luke-1985-Vintage-Star-Wars-READ/312521059744?hash=item48c3b4eda0:g:sQUAAOSwtOZcXMzq
  19. It's somewhere in this thread but if you remove the frosting it only leads to more frosting.
  20. X-Men recently and finally enjoyed a price bump due to the Disney Fox deal. All Kevin Feige has to say is, 'We are thinking of the X-Men properties' and that book takes a bump. However, if I was asked what is the AF15 of the Bronze age, then without hesitation I am saying Hulk 181. That book continues to drop jaws with the price it commands. You are losing out on this deal and I would keep the high grade Hulk 181 and NOT part with it. Here is what I would do. Sell off the Giant Size X-Men 1 and start saving for your own copy of X-Men 1. I found a nice 4.5 right when First Class came out for $2,500 and it was pressed resulting in a 5.5. NO, I am not interested in trading or selling. Find a 4.0 or a 5.0 for cheaper than the money you are throwing at this guy. You asked and I gave an honest answer. In fact, I would mine your lesser books and start dumping anything that you want less than the X-Men to help fund it. Nothing is worse than long boxes of $1 bin books without a few gems to come across now and again.
  21. No one is winning life more than Tom Hiddleston, Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Stone, Baby Groot and of course Mark Ruffalo...
  22. Pass... I thought this trade was already a done deal from something you said in the FB group.
  23. I have two accounts. I run my own and I run one for my parents. No big secret there. We live in the same neighborhood so the arrangement is that they have a key to my house and who do you think drops the packages off at the post office for me while I am at work?
  24. You posted this in the Facebook group. I disagreed with this trade there and I will disagree with it here. I think you are leaving a lot of money on the table... as well as that extra $1000 in cash.
