  1. YEAH.... don't pay attention to the lowball PM book stealers... let them wait and just maybe someone will take something that hasn't been taken yet at full price... womp womp
  2. I would definitely be shopping... don't know about selling... I wouldn't want to pull things off eBay to set up a store.
  3. I gotta ask... This has nothing really to do with you... This has everything to do with the thread... Finally, I think it is time to say that "the wheel are in motion" ? Because "as SICK as it sounds, they REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY are."
  4. When Hasbro rebooted the classic line with modern tech they redid the Water Moccasin (you already know my love for the 2008 update), the Tomahawk, Sky Hawk and even redid the classic Vamp despite the molds for the 82' version still being around and 'out there'. They gave us a completely new Skystriker despite it having one seat. I was so hoping that we would have gotten an updated hovercraft. I just looked at the Moccasin and the fan vanes are so much more durable than the 84 version. I know they could have worked wonders with a vehicle like this. I think part of the problem was the shelf space as back then (ten years ago) they were packaging the vehicles in an already put together form. This would have commanded a lot of shelf space. You are killing me though, I saw this on IG and said, "One day I really gotta get me one of those." Nice setup.
  5. While I am sure you are upset... you should smile to a degree knowing that your work is worth stealing. With that said, “go git em.”
  6. A few years ago I received a similar letter concerning purchases albeit a different situation. Their response that it is an automated letter made sense to me and I was fine with it. With the sheer volume that they handle they probably rely on these types of things to keep the gears moving. I would not take it personally.
  7. I have and I paid the bill that I created. $100 is a good lesson to be more careful. I spent some money learning that lesson myself and I paid my dues.
  8. Welcome back... heard you went away...
  9. After spending 9 years trying to get a copy of this book... I finally just said whatever and pulled the trigger knowing I overpaid. going by eBay prices I actually underpaid... by a considerable amount. Now if I ever encounter a kid that might be special I will put this comic, a knife, and other assorted objects on a table and ask him to take the item that belongs to him.
  10. Yes, at every Phish show I've ever been to. (Buzz don't do that - that was just a joke - despite the Mayor basically allowing it all over the city) Seriously though. I just don't like that acrid or acrid and musty smell of older comics. Some people do, I just don't for some reason.
  11. - I actually hate that smell... I don't know why... I really don't but I hate that smell.
  12. Like @shadroch I want to echo the same sentiment but elaborate. On a facebook group I advertised a bunch of GI Joe figures. I advertised a Crimson Guard Immortal for X price and when someone asked me if I was willing to negotiate on the figure I said no as it was a fair price and I am firm with it. He then asked me about a Cobra Commander in Battle Armor figure. He made an offer that was a little lower than the advertised price and I said, "Ok". Hours later I receive another message asking me about the Crimson Guard Immortal, again asking if I would take a lower price to which I again said, "No." He then decided a day later that he no longer wanted the Cobra Commander. We had a very short conversation and he apologized for wasting my time. He was then blocked. There is someone named Darin from Pennsylvania that likes graded Spider-man comics. He is most likely a member of these boards. He decided to reneg on a deal and disappear after he decided he did not want it. He later came back around with the same name but a different account when I posted other things. When he asked me to flat out buy a book I recognized the name and the location and reminded him that I was still awaiting payment for the book he promised to pay for. Blocked. Your reputation is everything in this hobby. Unless of course you illegally remove money from clients escrow accounts to buy and sell comics. Then you are of a pure 'pedigree."
  13. Someone else died last week at 34th. Thing is that he died sitting in the seats. So, they just put a sheet over him still sitting up and roped off the area. You can see the pics yourself on Barstool Sports.
  14. Unless it is this month's copy of ASM then no. There is no need to potentially damage a $1000 book. When you reach a certain point the books are meant for possession not enjoyment. There are digital subscriptions for that.
  15. Here is the thing though. While I actually see your point, I will never change that option over to do an eBay sale outside of GSP. Never. Ever. The end result has been the following. International sales are up and at the same time there are less headaches. If that means that you specifically will not shop with me then I am more than fine with that because the tradeoff is that there are others that will. I may have lost you as a potential customer but I have gained others and in the case of a lady from Australia some are repeat customers. Their charges that they impose on you is the cost of doing business just as the fees are the cost of doing business to me. What eBay does with the money and how it applies to international law is no more my problem than Comiclink charging a NYS sales tax on all auctions now even though that law does not go into effect for a few more months is yours. As far as packaging is concerned. If eBay notices that an item is broken they are required to notify the seller before they ship it out of the US to its international destination. If they do not then that falls on eBay if the seller claims the item is broken. If the item is tied up in customs or moves slowly, the international seller can no longer file a claim that they have not received their item where the seller is liable. So long as the item is received in the allotted time frame to the eBay center in Kentucky any delays or problems after that point eventually fall to eBay as eBay assumes the liability for that incident. Since working through the GSP I have not had any of the following incidents that have occurred in the past. Buyer asking for the cheapest way to ship possible then filing a claim that the package has not been received. Buyers asking me to lie on the tax forms - when it gets searched it gets held up in customs if the paperwork is questionable Buyers making suspicious claims. Buyers returning an alternate product. I am sorry that we cannot do business but I am not changing my policy in regards to this matter under any circumstances. It's funny because I had a buyer inquire about a $1200 book that I recently sold but repeatedly said they would not buy it through the Global Shipping Program. That was not an option. He wound up moving on. The book has not been available from anyone else on eBay so I know he didn't buy it from anyone else. Instead the book was recently sold domestically and currently resides on a nice farm out in the Midwest. If he really wanted it he would have adhered to the business policy of the eBay store. Either way the book sold and the buyer left me positive feedback as he was very pleased with his purchase.
  16. I went the night before a carbo show where a few other boardies went and myself. That was the day of Roy's picture of me with the lego head. I stopped by for the Hildebrandt exhibit with another boardie... I don't remember this piece though and I looked through iPhoto for the March 2015 pics and don't have anything in there either... sorry.
  17. I did - I tried checking out with the app and it would not let me. Kept trying on my phone. I took a screen shot of it at 9:59 as I gave up at that point. Oh and I thank you for that by the way. Very nice of you to do that.
  18. That story gets a little creepier and I did not realize it. The last two pairs went to the same buyer in California under two different accounts. Sandals went to Georgia. This pair of Adidas from a few years ago went to Australia. Apparently I have a fan club.
