  1. Check ignition and may God's love be with you...
  2. And now... a theme... It's David Bowie Night... Gotta start with Starman...
  3. Warning: I am work now but I need to mention that tonight is another theme...
  4. Must have been a decent offer. Two people bought two items outright for $185 and $87 that had a 'best offer'. I guess they did not want to wait and see what I would have said. What is weird is that today a few people all at once made offers on a few different things ranging from Lego to jewelry to GI Joes... Is there a promotion going on today as well? \
  5. It honestly depends on the artist as cliche as that seems. When Stan Lee was alive it made more sense to shop on eBay given the price of a Stan Lee signature and the style of his autograph. His autograph had started to become more and more of a blemish than a signature over the past five years. So if you wanted a decent signature with decent placement you had the option of rolling the dice and doing it in person OR finding the book you wanted with the signature placement and condition that you desired for in many cases less than it would have cost you to put that whole package together yourself. Artists like Skottie Young have drastically increased their prices for any books going to CGC. Okay then, what that does is in effect completely turn me away from your table. When the artists jack up the prices I fear it has a negative impact on the long term. Skottie Young and Neal Adams raised their prices which means I do not even approach Skottie Young's table anymore. Someone like Larry Hama is a cheap autograph. I go to Larry Hama, get a free signature, I buy a sketch if I am early on the list and then I wind up buying a couple of other things while I am at his table.
  6. If anyone wants to find out from Neil Gaiman it will run you $90 for his series of classes or $180 for unlimited classes from their library of instructors. https://www.masterclass.com/classes/neil-gaiman-teaches-the-art-of-storytelling
  7. If this is the same show that was at that hotel on Rte 110 then I would avoid. I spent admission to THAT show only to shake my head and pull the trigger on several things on eBay that were cheaper.
  8. It's not a 'prom' song if you actually listen to the lyrics...
  9. One of the things that I learned of while rebuilding my GI Joes... and as I have started to sell them off again... don't ask. There is one guy out there that has almost a thousand or more complete Snow Serpents. This guy is doing what we call 'army building' but on a level previously unseen. He readily admits to trying to sway the market by buying up every Snow Serpent he can and then unleashing it to see what happens to the market when he feels he has amassed enough. This is his hobby... Now, forget about whether or not he is going to take a bath in them or not or get his money back or whatever... regardless of that... there are collectors out there that do this stuff.
  10. Interesting reflection on how people viewed things over 15 years ago.
  11. And... sold for $75 + shipping. Not bad for something I found on the street.
  12. it's not terrible. I actually liked Romita Jr on Spider-man but felt that Romita Jr's Superman looked like Peter Parker with black hair.
  13. Radiohead - Kid A Track 10 - Motion Picture Soundtrack (Fini) Why... Motion Picture Funnies of course...
  14. Radiohead - Kid A Track 9 - Morning Bell
