  1. When you go swimming at the beach, does buried treasure wash ashore in front of your feet?
  2. Whoa... that was annoying... I will put it up with a ridiculous price and a BIN - that seems to be the only way to go. Too bad the playsets that this stuff came from were not put at the curb. I am sure the silverware like the goblets and spoons are harder to find than the castle itself.
  3. Took a walk to the bank to drop off some documents. (It's not horrible outside and I am off today). On the way back... someone put a out a clear container of Playmobile... Grabbed it and now sorting it. To eBay it goes ! I have to organize it first but with a quick rummage through there are a bunch of 80's Smurfs in there as well.
  4. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spider-Man_(Japanese_TV_series) Japanese Spider-man !!!!!
  5. Gotta be available in order for it to be sold ! Case in point I tried to upgrade my Tec 164 last year and nothing was available except for the guy that wants infinite money for his 'error' version on ebay.
  6. Whoa... Hasbro is rolling out the support for the barge... Newly designed Skiff, Jabba's barge three pack over at Entertainment Earth, Yak Face and Klatau up on preorder on HTS / Hasbro Pulse, relrelease of Gammorean Guards.... And with all that... That Transformers Omega Supreme really is magnificent. Even at $160 I think I need that.
  7. No official word has ever been overtly stated about the Slave Leia merchandise. With that said, I have not seen much if anything in the vein of that famous bikini on any recently produced merchandise... However, that COULD change with Hasbro revisiting certain figures this year as the Sail Barge is about to ship.
  8. Let the butthurt begin then because as history has proven and is repeating itself with today's announced Black Series and Vintage Line exclusives, some of those 93 will be the exclusives of some obscure promotion or store or even an event. A SDCC exclusive is inevitable then with this line but it had better be a blue saber Luke Jedi instead of something like a Tie Fighter pilot. As I am sitting here by the computer I did give it some thought and I have to admit that it would be nice to get a few figures that fit seamlessly into the Kenner Vintage line that were never made. I would suspect that simply for nostalgia purposes even you would be interested in a proper Han Solo in Stormtrooper Disguise to compliment the Luke, a Slave Girl Leia to complete the Jabba Throne room scene or even a Rebel Fleet trooper... Or maybe they go full on nuts and release the unproduced 86-87 continuation line and they give us the Kenner version of Episode VII-IX
  9. Golden Age: 10 / 100 Silver Age: 48 / 100 (Multiples of many of the 48 that I have - like I have 7x ASM 14's laying about - and no, I am not selling) Bronze Age: 31 / 100 (Multiples of around half of that 31) Modern Age: 28 / 100 Recently Released: Not bothering to count... whatever ASM issues are on the list except for super dooper 1:10,000 variant stuff. The list is very skewed though as it seems to be based upon what is currently available. For example I was surprised that Batman #9 is not on the list as it has an iconic cover as does Detective Comics 164 which is the Bat-Signal cover and both of which I own. Then I realized that copies of those books are not usually available for sale and would not have a lot of movement which would not trigger 'popularity'.
  10. Just because I do not always comment does not mean I do not always read Rebelscum is reporting from Toy Fair and apparently these figures will be slightly larger than the Kenner originals. I am guessing that they were 3D mapped from the originals. What is strange is that they are going to start making 'new' figures in the retro style. The first such announced figure is a Grand Moff Tarkin figure. I am not really interested in the line as I already have a complete loose set. However, with that said, it might be kind of nice to have one or two of them to stick in my display cabinet that I don't have to worry about as far as being on display...
  11. @comicwiz Joe, sometime last year or a year and a half ago maybe you hinted at the return of the kenner molds. Since it is now official with Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca, Vader and a Stormtrooper finding their ways onto shelves and online stores this year, I was wondering about your thoughts on these. Also, I was wondering if you think the molds for these are cast from original figures like what Gentle Giant does with the jumbo line or if they are new sculpts like they did with the 'vintage' Rocket Fett mailaway about ten years ago?
  12. If you were looking for an Optimus Prime this is the figure. I love this thing. While not as big as a Masterpiece it feels like it has the transformation of one. What are you getting? Tight transformation that may not be for kids if you want to get it just right... It took over 20 steps. No hollow spaces, no hollow limbs - everything folds around to create structure. Interesting "Cybertron" vehicle mode that looks like a futuristic truck. Inspired transformation that tucks everything away nearly. Weathered paints give a nice deco to the figure. Did I mention tight transformation? No oversized hunches or backpacks Super poseable at the ankles, feet, knees, hips waist swivel, GI Joe level arm articulation, head and neck. I am really digging this figure. If there is anything specific you want to see on it let me know.
  13. On bump for today... then on Saturday afternoon they make the rounds in other places.
  14. Edit... I am just going to stay out of this one for the time being and watch the rest of you.
  15. It took a little playing around to get the right option. You want to go to the Fed Ex site and look at locations. Select the box that says 'on site locations" and unselect all other boxes. Duane Read did come up as a possible selection near me. Here is a snapshot of Long Island sites that offer this service. I scrolled down to a Duane Reade.
  16. To me, I associate people that spend hundreds of dollars on new comics each month as people who also are lost when it comes to watching a movie because they cannot find a Blockbuster video...
  17. Thanks... I will be surprised if they sell here... but I will throw them up on eBay, CLink, and Craigslist all at once in a few days.
  18. When I was in high school my teacher overhead one of my classmates say, "Science sucks!" Brother Meehan's response: "Gentlemen, science neither sucks nor blows. If it did everyone would want to be a scientist."
  19. I blocked someone on FB for pulling a few shenanigans. What was interesting was that he even realized that he was screwing around and when I told him that we could no longer do business with each other he apologized and said he realized he was wasting my time. Some of the people who are blocked do actually 'get it' it seems, So maybe blocking is a useful tool to change behaviors.
  20. Didn't see any art I wanted in the preview section... or at least anything that 'does it for me.' However there are some books that are appealing...
  21. No, I do not do anything incredibly glamorous.
  22. I have detailed many times of my experiences with Fed Ex. For the newbies. Batman 11 - "It's somewhere on Long Island that much we know." Superman 3 - "You signed for it and it was delivered." "I've been in Brooklyn all day so what are you talking about." Comiclink and my flipping out on them caused an embarrassed driver to admit that he signed for the package himself... and may have left it on the wrong steps. I received both books... HOWEVER... this is what I advise anyone that deals with Fed Ex packages that require signatures to do. Sign up on their website and have the packages rerouted to the nearest satellite store or affiliate. That way Fed Ex will drop it off with them. If they drop it off somewhere else you are covered. The satellite store, such as Walgreens, offers another layer of protection and there seems to be less issues.
