1. Just texted this to my friend... yes at midnight since I know he is up. This is what he pointed out. That is NOT a latch on the door. Look closely at the whole image and blow it up. That is supposed to be a towel rack or something to hang stuff off of in the shower. That is how he sees it. If that is the case who puts that over the door between apartments and the wall? His words, "This guy's license should be revoked."
2. So basically what you are saying is, "Thoughts and prayers..."
3. I want to assume that the floor is tile. I want to.
4. That is crazy and definitely gives me pause. I checked out the going rates on eBay and people are actually paying almost $400 for Yak Face alone on a POTF card regardless of the fact that a regular version without the coin will be released in the main line. Here is what I do not understand though. Why didn't these people pre-order the whole thing at $500 shipped? They didn't have $500 last February but all of a sudden have 4x that amount to spend a year later during the same after Christmas time period? After seeing that I am leaning toward sell sell sell... However, I do not do pre-orders. I want the item to be physically in hand so I can inspect the box and all before I offer it up for sale... IF I sell it.
5. I was reluctant to answer this question because I don't want to be 'that guy' that hypes something in advance of something he might sell. However, after seeing PKJ's post I can respond based on an already (so far) established market. I am only throwing out a guess here. I believe that the overproduction run would be around 5+%. I am sure there are people at Hasbro that will get a complimentary one. I am sure that they will make extras to replace lost parcels or damages. At $500 if your package arrives crushed by UPS, Hasbro doesn't want to tell anyone that they are out of luck. However, I do not see a massive overrun. Do you want to know why? Because of the Rogue One Hovertank. That was originally released at a price point for $75. I bought two of them this Christmas for less than $40 each as Amazon was clearancing them out. I bought one at $45 I think then another at $37.99. Many (not all) Star Wars collectors have become conditioned to wait for the vehicles to hit discount prices before they buy them. Hasbro once remarked as such in the old Q&A's as Fan Support at retail is what sometimes holds back the release of certain items. This was back when collectors were clamoring for something like MattyCollector which is what Haslab is a version of. I really do not see a large overrun of this and could see the price actually increasing.
6. Bloodshot 6 - 1st Ninjak - high grade raw copies can be found on eBay for less than $10. New Mutants 100 - 1st X-Force https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=1st+appearance&_sacat=0&LH_TitleDesc=0&_udhi=10&rt=nc&LH_BIN=1 Search criteria: 1st Appearance < $10
7. As of now I am keeping it but not taking it out of the box. I will buy a long shelf and place the board across the top of a wide cabinet in my office and then put the box on top of that. That way it will be out of the way. If I see people start paying ridiculous prices for them then I would be a fool NOT to sell it. I saw one guy was offering a presale for it on eBay for around $1200. As far as what I think the next Haslab project will be? I want to say the GI Joe Flagg but there is currently no longer any GI Joe presence at retail. Years ago, Hasbro showed the prototype of an updated version of the ship so the design is already there. This may change in 2020 with the release of the Snake Eyes movie though. So if they announce next month that it is the Flagg, it would ship probably in the second quarter in time for the movie. I would like to see something other than a Star Wars set because I want it to be Haslab and not StarWarsLab... however... Star Wars fans have got the cash to spend if they were to give it a go for the Death Star playset or a Bespin playset.
8. Bid on about 15 EC books and got sniped on almost all of them and ended up being the underbidder on almost all of those except this... this one I took home. Might flip it to give myself more purchasing power to get the couple I really wanted though for the next time they pop up at auction.
9. Nah, what I did was that there was someone else that was looking at his table and 'admired' the two DC GA books that he had. When that customer looked at me, I told the other customer that he could do better on Comic Link, Metropolis Comics that offer better prices for better grades. .... that guy.
10. I was actually thinking of changing mine but I like the DeNiro with the fingers to the eyes pic.
11. I use HD Clear Duck Tape (Green label) Or 260 Blue Label I've used both and find it sticks well to boxes and is quite strong. https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=hd+duck+tape
12. So which one of you outbid me on all the Shock Suspenstories ?
13. Yup... I liked the Seaford room better than the outdoor flea market as there was less 'junk'. I don't get why people want rusty screwdrivers which is what you find at the Bellmore train station. Seaford room had some very nice stuff. It was interesting to look at some older Matchbox cars and the Lionel guys set up nicer displays indoors than they do outdoors. As you can imagine, I don't see a high turnover of things except for the Lionel stuff as I always see that guy with new stuff. I basically stop by this flea market both indoor and outdoor maybe once a month or two.
14. Went to a local Sunday flea market Picked up a Lionel Train Bridge which matches my dad's for $15 Picked up a Vamp with Vamp Mark II doors missing gas cans, steering wheel and gun for $2. However vehicle is in great condition with no cracks or frame damage. One local flea market guy 'Steve' had some decent comics but he wanted top dollar for beater books. In inquired about a early Batman book and a Superman 4. I declined when hearing his prices and that the Superman book had restoration. Didn't like his remark as to telling me that if I didn't like his prices then I can't afford his price range or something like that. Very taken aback by those comments. What he doesn't realize is that now I will never shop with him.
15. I remember this... When I was in college I worked at the mall back then where there was KB toys. I gave the guy at KB my employee discount where I worked so he got sneakers and clothes and I got his KB discount and all the Star Wars toys were held for me. If I remember right, I was not allowed to get the discount on anything they had to hold for me. But anything I walked in and picked up off the shelf I got some type of discount.
16. It's very sad that even at my age when someone says New Yorkers that I think of Long Island, New York City and its boroughs and part of Westchester... I looked at it and said, "What's Kenmore?"
17. Mostly still looking to upgrade my 1-100 set myself... But... this thread has my interest. Good luck...
18. Which reminds me, I am still waiting for my "This is what space smells like" NYE shirt.
19. LOL I've dragged the gf to 12/28/17, 12/31/17, 12/31/18. She's a trooper. We stay for the whole show... seriously. When I told her about summer tour she laughed and said, "Have fun." Soooo, I took a look and said, Camden was definitely out. It's nice they want to do three days in Camden but no one in Camden wants to do three days in Camden. I also think it would have been poor form to go spend my birthday by myself in Camden. Sooo... there are the Fenway shows or even closer, the Mohegan Sun shows. I've gone to shows by myself plenty of times but for some reason felt bad about leaving her behind when I know there are a few shows playing around that time for other bands that she likes. Basically, I am pretty sure that I am seeing Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan at some point this summer.
20. True and neither would I. However, if I don't use it then I lose it. The way I figure it, it is at least worth it to buy something worth around $80 that I could possibly resell later for basically 'free money'. However, in this case, I never know what to get until after I spend my eBay bucks then I look back and say, "damn, I forgot that I was looking for that."
21. Last sale for something like that was for a pair of Rockport slip ons that were a few years old. Someone bought my shoes as their Christmas present I guess. After I sold them I bought a new pair for a future sale. BTW... this particular buyer has bought my shoes before as I noticed after going through his feedback.
