  1. I got the notification for that yesterday. I bought both G1 versions and really like the G2 Chromed Gold version to be honest as that is more of a "Goldbug" and faithful to the actual toy. The new one seems small for $119 though. At that price I would wait until there is a sale or once the Chinese Vendors start rolling out the knock offs. This is a cash grab on their part and I don't know if I want to succumb to it. They are getting a little out of hand on the MP prices in general. $450 for the latest Optimus Prime is a bit much and I believe that Bumblebee should fall more in line with the $80 price point that vehicles like him have had in the past. You know what Transformer I cannot wait to arrive on my doorstep? I think that the siege of Cybertron Optimus Prime is the mass market Optimus Prime I have been waiting for.
  2. I am still buying out of loyalty to the title at this point and to my LCS. I stop by once a month to pick up whatever ASMs have come out and that is it. I honestly do not buy anything else. When I have some free time though I will eventually get a Marvel Unlimited subscription again. I am curious though, before I do, if there will be any discount or incentive concerning the Disney streaming service which I definitely plan on getting.
  3. Amazing Spider-man 64 CGC 9.0 Off White to White Pages $215
  4. Amazing Spider-man 74 CGC 8.0 Off White to White Pages $120 Apparently this has a nice wrap for this book.
  5. First dibs to the boards. If they don't sell then it is off to eBay, Craigslist or Facebook where I will go fishing for a higher price. Sometimes they sell... looking at you Batman 52. Terms: Books will stay here for a few days then they move on. I will ship anywhere on Earth so long as there is an established tracking system. No HOS, Probation List Members, Problem Children or Drama Llamas. I will accept PayPal and I will accept postal money orders. USPS Money Orders will get a 5% discount. Books are shipped Priority 1092/1095 style for US Buyers. International buyers, we can figure it out so long as there is tracking. Returns are accepted so long as I am notified in three days and then the books are placed in the mail within five days after that at the buyer's expense. I go by timestamp of whoever commits to buying whether that be in public or PM. As always a song... Let's try to get this stuck in your head.
  6. Diamond Select has purchased Gentle Giant Ltd https://www.rebelscum.com/story/front/Diamond_Select_Toys_To_Purchase_Gentle_Giant_Ltd_Assets_183089.asp
  7. I wouldn't touch this "opportunity" in any capacity. Over the summer, someone I know was interested in buying a pizza place, a bakery, and eventually a tanning salon. In each incident I was asked to tag along and get a feel for the situation. In each case I shook my head and spotted discrepancies and BS before her team did, just by talking to the owners trying to sell. I asked a few questions that they could not answer nor were they expecting me to ask. Just based upon the potential liability and the way this 'contest' is worded I would run very far away from it. For the record, I did actually eat some pizza, ate some cannoli, and actually for the first time in my life went for an artificial tan. With that said, my actual occupation has never been discussed and while a few people around here know I would prefer not to discuss what I do... Let's keep up with the theme though...
  8. I've never been disappointed with a MCS purchase. If you pass let me know, I would love to know what book...
  9. I actually am always very pleased with you guys and your customer service. To tell the truth, keep up the good work. And no, to the rest of the boards, I am not being sarcastic. I recently called with a couple of questions and the guys on your end were personable, knowledgable and were quickly able to answer my questions. In the past you even helped out with Fed Ex for me when they signed for a package for me, eventually tracking it down. Thanks as always.
  10. There is a page of art that I bought off of eBay that is listed on the Link. I am tempted to offer whoever is running the listing on Comiclink the full ask price they are seeking.
  11. Call up a local school. See if they have any comic book clubs or science fiction reading clubs as part of their extra curricular activities. If they do then donate them. Be aware though that schools and libraries will have their own standards as far as what is acceptable and what is not... so some will wind up in the dumpster. For example... your Vampirella books are not making their way into a 6th grade classroom.
  12. There is room for both ...and I have to say... John Mayer is actually pretty good with "Dead and Company". I was really surprised by that...
  13. He likes to comment about how much he likes one of his favorite bands... He writes me about them quite frequently and alludes to them in many of his posts...
  14. They are definitely a space hog but they create their own natural space for the figures which are already fragile and accessories which can also be quite fragile. For example, let's take a look at a figure like Night Viper. That face shield has a tendency to break by the nub where the scope attaches. But them in a little baggie inside the clamshell and it's like it is in it's own box. The figures even laying on top of each other can crack parts on a GI Joe figure... so clamshell storage for vintage all the way. BTW: Supposedly meeting up with someone tomorrow thanks to Craigslist... Zartan, Firefly and Snowjob are headed to a new home for $170 which is thankfully more than I paid as to not take a bath on shipping fees and what not.
  15. I am very thankful for you being a tight wad last night. I had a cushion bid made in the last minute that was higher than that and then my finger on the trigger on one screen to make a last three second bid if necessary.
  16. It depends on the figure for me. All figures are in those clamshells but not all of their accessories are in bags. For example, that flashlight from Outback is VERY fragile so that is in a small baggie in the clamshell separate from the figure. However a figure like Iceberg who has one rifle or an Iron Grenadier whose weapons are pretty sturdy have their weapons thrown in loose with the figure in the clamshell.
  17. And then there was art... I love the cover to Weird Science 16 and while I will never own that cover, for some reason this page gave me the same vibe. I would have gone higher on it actually because of that... and it also helped that I really liked Wheeljack as a kid.
  18. Nope... I would never do carded Joe... I knew that before I got back into them.
  19. Time to make some hard decisions. There are few figures in there like my V2 Snake Eyes that I have had since I was a wee little guy. That is not going anywhere... along with a few moderns.
  20. I had something like that... the beautiful think with these types of new style joints is that the plastic is easily heated up and malleable enough to fix. Give it a try. I think you should be able to do it. Just be careful not to damage the head of the pin too much or it will slip again.
  21. Early 50's EC Comics... including cover... 36 pages?
  22. So that's why I made that sale. I sold my copy of a certain book with slightly brittle pages for almost double GPA for $1200. Thank's eBay. One step closer to completely gutting and replacing my bathroom.
