  1. Definitely removed or deleted... however... goes to show you what people are dealing with.
  2. I think his post was either deleted or removed... here were the conversations lol...
  3. Shouldn't the commissions be auctioned off or offered to people that he owes money and art to? I mean at the least auction it off and make people whole. This is highly entertaining. I am screen capping his other posts as it unfolds.
  4. For anyone interested in some late night drama... https://www.facebook.com/groups/1526108044279714/ Anthony Castrillo is currently posting pics of all his completed artwork that he has ripped up and whining that nobody wants to pay $240 for a commission. Who wants to be the guy that says maybe he could have used that time to fulfill orders. Here are some sample pics.... His posts right now are interesting... FDQ would be one way to describe it. @kav should see this. He would find this interesting as would anyone who Castrillo owes commissions to.
  5. Okay... 1st... whoa to the Calvin and Hobbes piece, Tec27 and AF15 9.0, makes me kind of want to upgrade mine... Especially the Calvin and Hobbes piece though... you just never see Watterson art. Anyway.. It was another slower year as I focused more on some house changes and quickly buying back my GI Joe figures. So, three comics, three toys, and perhaps one toy... GI Joe: Issue 20 Page 29: Half splash page of Clutch, the first GI Joe figure I ever received, plus an earlier issue from the run. Special credit goes to @jaybuck43 who had to deal with my whining chatter on how annoying it is how GI Joe pages went up in value as I tossed and turned on pulling the trigger on this. I think Bechara made a deal just to finally no longer have to deal with me staring at it. "Yo, Adrian, we did it!" - Purchased at NYCBM Marvel Fanfare #42 Page 2 - Featuring Spider-man - Blow it up... this sums up 80's black costume Spider-man name checking everything in the book that makes Peter Parker who he is. The page was loaded with Spider-man and dynamic in every panel as you get the feeling of Spidey navigating the canyons of New York City. I found it on eBay. GI Joe Issue 30 Page 2 - Honestly stumbled upon this at NYCC. I was going to go with an Eternal Warrior cover I picked up, (shameless plug and cheat for a fourth item) but I REALLY liked this page featuring Zartan and the Drednoks doing their thing. For anyone familiar but trying to place the page this comes from the red cover issue where Buzzer is chainsawing off the tailfins of a skystriker. Anyway... Zartan doing his thing. BONUS: GI Joe Clutch 1982/1983 - This was a preproduction / production figure. Again, Clutch was my first GI Joe figure. This was a Vendor Sample Pilot / Engineering Pilot or Final Engineering Pilot. This means it was one of the figures passed around the Hasbro offices to determine how they were going to proceed with the figure. The provenance comes from Dan Klingensmith who has been repping Hasbro creators and seems to be a guy that is to GI Joe what Steve Sansweet is to Star Wars collecting (on a smaller scale). He facilitated the sale from the Hasbro employee who in this case was the marketing director. Thanks to @comicwiz for leading me to this group. What is a VSP/EP/FEP ?
  6. I would rather have one and not need it than need it and not have it.
  7. You are missing out on sooooo much rain. Sooooo much fun. Every Sunday seems to be a Noah's Ark level rainstorm. Bought my two stage snowblower though... $400 Cyber Monday sale.
  8. Not comfortable with it. I guess I got to warm up to it. As of now I am just dipping my toes into facebook groups for buying GI Joe figures. My friend just bought an Action 17 through IG. Again I dunno. I keep my facebook account private but keep my instagram account even more private.
  9. I am really sorry I missed this. I apologize because Dr X even mentioned it to me a month ago. I've been swamped with certain things and have not logged in for a few days. I didn't even log in to make fun of a certain board member in Fantasy Football. I really am sorry @DR.X and I will do better next year.
  10. BTW.... @Gotham Kid was that you who made headlines on ComicLink?
  11. - Bought the car last year... This year I put in the new bathroom... There will be no 9.4 copies of Superman 14 in my future... Now, a 4.0 ish or a 6.5 with some slight CT... or replaced staples or something non intrusive......
  12. I will probably finish getting back the GI Joe figures I sold off years ago. I will probably upgrade at least one issue from my ASM run. Would like another page of GI Joe Marvel Art Would like a dynamic Spider-man page from one of my favored Spider-man artists. Maybe I finally pull the trigger on Superman 14. Maybe I finally pull the trigger on that UCS $800 Lego falcon...
  13. Just raise your prices to compensate if you feel the fees are too high...
  14. I think it comes down to what you plan on doing with the figures... The articulation will always improve so you can say that the Revoltech figures of today will pale in comparison to the Revoltech figures that will be released three years from now. Think along the lines of more seamless joints and things like that. Revoltech offers smaller figures at a smaller scale (literally half) than a Hot Toys / Sideshow figure so display is not that much of an issue but keep in mind that you would need stands to display them with those dynamic poses that you see. On the other hand I like the Hot Toys and Sideshow detailing a lot better. I just don't have the space for something like those... However with those I believe less is more. Those figures are so special that I would display maybe one or two otherwise they get lost among the clutter. When I have seen giant sideshow or hot toy figures displayed they are along a wall in glass cubes or cabinets or something like that. To get an idea go to sideshow and look at one of their profiles on their customers who have larger collections... Personally I like the Sideshow / Hot Toy route but again that is based on what you plan on doing with them and how you would want to display them. My solution... buy them both.
  15. And then the Lord said, "Let there be mail." And Andrew opened up the mail, and it was good. Won a lot of complete figures on a FB auction. 11 drivers and their weapons for around $6 a figure. I now have a couple of duplicates but it was too good a bid not to take home. I finally found my white Snow Job and I picked up three Valor v Venom figs just for fun. Complete vintage Joes at that price? Take it... Even Sea Slug and guys like Zanzibar have all their weapons including the vehicle spear. Thinking about going for a complete set of one of every Snake Eyes figure ever produced. Thinking of it. More to come this week...
  16. I have a feeling that they are about to. They took notice of the second hand market on 6" Black Series figures and will be revisiting those figures with photo realistic faces. Should be interesting to see what it does to the second hand market since I do not think that the knock off market can crank out paint apps like Hasbro is promising on these revisited figures.
  17. Abso-Friggin-Lootly NOT Many people take things in private and do not want to post nor even confirm that they have purchased something. When I do sell I go by timestamp. Whoever takes it publicly or privately by my EST timestamp gets it. If you cannot trust me to be honorable with a timestamp then you should not be doing business with me to begin with.
  18. The beauty of the internet is by simply writing and copying and pasting.... it's not a bother at all. It's only a couple of clicks away.
  19. Or... I could have just done that instead of wasting a few minutes going over CLink results. I should have realized there was an easier way.
  20. Yeah I don't get some of this. I just won an $88 auction that when I won I said to myself... now why would I do that... I shrugged and paid. The seller did nothing wrong and the seller was clear cut about everything. Instead I will relist it as soon as I get it for $10-15 less to move it out as quickly as possible and learn me my lesson. The only non paying bidder thing I have on me recently is someone I refused to pay. I forget if I mentioned this. They said that they combined shipping. So I bought three lots from them. They fulfilled the letter of their statement in that they said that they would combine all three items in one box but wanted to charge me 3X the cost of shipping. ($20 per lot so $60 total). I protested, they insisted that they were adhering what they said... I refused to pay on principle alone. So now when I ask if someone combines shipping am I supposed to ask them to detail their answer? That would get annoying to sellers.
  21. I saw that too when I punched the numbers in. I think it was the AF15 at 3.0 which sold for $17,250. The fee would have been $517.50 on that. If so, congrats and welcome to the club.
  22. Soooooooooooooo...... what did ya buy?
