  5. I have not done one of these threads in awhile. I found a box of comics laying around my house. I don't want that box. So in order to get rid of it I have to first sell off the comics. First, I am going to offer all of these books at 50 cents each... Depending on what happens, I may either close the thread or lower the price, or have some fodder for my four hundred square foot fire pit. (old forum joke). Keep in mind that all of these books will be bundled up to 8-10 in a comic bag and then bricked together in cardboard sandwiches. They will then be shipped boxed. Again these books are NOT individually bagged and boarded. I have sold things like this before to no problem. I will try to list at least 100 books for the initial offering. All books currently available for 50¢ each. 3 Per $1 The Rules: I welcome thread crapping - it's entertaining. I ship anywhere at buyer's expense. For US buyers I will ship these via Priority mail or Parcel Post... whatever the buyer wants. Media mail is available at BUYER'S RISK. PayPal Only Please I go by timestamp of whoever commits to buying whether that be in public or PM. No HOS, Probation List Members, Problem Children or Drama Llamas. Returns are accepted so long as I am notified in three days and then the books are placed in the mail within five days after that at the buyer's expense. All books are in VF-NM unless otherwise described and MCS rules apply where a 9.0 is considered a NM. A lot of these books are really really nice and if you have participated in one of these before you know what you are getting. As always... a song. Zac Brown Band - Colder Weather
  6. I did not post them earlier this year but I already accomplished my collecting goals. Picked up a great page of Spider-man OA. Picked up a great page of GI Joe OA (Wound up picking up x2) Upgraded a book in my AF15 to ASM 100 run. Crossed another GA book off my bucket list (Superman 53) Sold enough stuff I didn't want anymore and put a hefty down payment on a car. I already know what the 2019 goals are...
  7. Make of this what you will... nuke250(13221) 100.0% Yes, he has 100% with 13,221. This is more like a buyer beware or realize what you are getting type of thing. I ordered 8 GI Joe figures. Out of those 8 He does not use eBay shipping so tracking is only available in case your package goes missing Items were sent in NON-sealable sandwich bags so everything was floating around in the baseball card box Baseball card has slits on the ends... so maybe that's where Destro's gun was lost. oh well. Speaking of figures, one came with a broken rifle even though the rifle was said to be fine. One figure came with a fragile piece broken off in transit but came with extra accessories that I did not order but I think was part of another person's order Another figure was missing his accessories. Another figure advertised as having tight limbs had the knees of a 94 year old 'wrassler' - they were loose. eBay told me to keep one of the four I was to return, I sent that back with the other three. I am not keeping a figure that I did not pay for. Upon talking about eBay sellers in a GI Joe Facebook group I recently joined... others have had similar experiences. Nuke was NOT rude to me. I want to make that clear. Perhaps he treated me well because I was returning the Airtight figure even though eBay was going to let me keep it. However... his packing is a EXTREMELY poor. His quality control is bad. 8 figures ordered. 4 went back. He currently has 766 items listed on eBay so I am providing a buyer beware notice. While I would NOT block him if any of you plan on buying, GI Joes, Star Wars, Marvel figures, Transformers or anything like that, ASK more questions and make sure he understands how you want the items shipped if you are buying anything off of him. At the minimum, as was discussed in the GI Joe group, sealed bags, proper packing, and sealed boxes.

  15. Don't jinx me. I need a Stage 2 though... capping it at $750-800. I am tapping out this year.
  16. I have also made mention of stores complaining about Amazon. Sears tried to blame Amazon for losing it's market share and its impending closure. Amazon really had nothing to do with that. That was all on Sears. Stores like CVS and Barnes and Noble won't even honor their own online prices. I documented a Barnes and Noble story where the manager became irate because I told her that i understand they will not honor the Amazon price but I found it ludicrous that they would not honor their own online Barnes and Noble price. I shrugged and bought it on Amazon. I recently had the same experience with CVS. CVS offered a home care product that was $60 in the store but $35 on their website shipped for free. I asked if they would honor their online price and they said, No. Both stores told me that the benefits of shopping in a brick and mortar are customer service and a hands on shopping experience. That's not true. It takes me about 7-10 minutes to locate someone who works in CVS or Barnes and Noble that is NOT a cashier or someone that is just restocking the shelves and does not know anything else. Their hands on shopping experience is one of waiting on lines and a mess of problems. Brick and Mortar stores in general need to step up their game or they will lose all together. Now there are certain things I will not buy online. I need a snowblower and have not made my decision as to what to get yet. However I want one from a Lowe's, Home Depot, or commercial Hardware store. If something goes wrong I want the company and store backing up their product. Besides, you ever try to box up and ship back a snowblower?
  17. So... This bares mentioning in this thread. As I have made mention of, I am recently trying to rebuild my GI Joe collection and hit up two stores in the last two weeks. Last week I went to Amok Time toys in Hicksville, Long Island. I could not have been happier with my visit to that store and I plan on going back again. The store was clean, well stocked, competitively priced and manned by a knowledgable store owner. I will definitely stop by next month. I just got back from another vintage toy store somewhat in the area. Not going to name names on that. Looking around the store one would see a hodge podge amounting of a mess stacked and arranged around another mess. One guy is behind the counter and the other guy was on a chair doing something on his iPhone that he could barely move because there were piles of items just thrown on top of one another surrounding him. I asked for something specific and the owner admitted that they have boxes and boxes of things downstairs in the basement but he has not had the time to sort through them and put them together. As I was leaving the sounds of the YouTube comedy video he was looking at on the computer accidentally came on. I shrugged and said that I would check back in a month or two. Probably not... What did I do? I went to eBay.
  18. I have actually found a LOT of things that I did not know about due to Amazon. Amazon also has suggestions at the bottom of every listing. Since you like this... you may like this..... Customers who bought this... were also interested in this... It's a tired and lazy excuse for shop owners to WHOLLY blame Amazon. Some of their complaints have merit. However, just as many complaints do not.
  19. I just fell for the oldest trick in the book... I always look for tricks as a seller and am always vigilant. As a buyer I got duped this morning. Paid for something last night. Seller says there was an error in the listing and refunded my money and said that there would be an invoice coming through PayPal. I paid through PayPal but now it looks like I never paid through eBay and I also do not receive the credit for paying nor the $8 in eBay bucks. Face. Palm.
