  1. Joe, I read the write up. I have a hard time believing though that so many sales samples would have survived MOC for this particular version. I think that the Zellers and TRU tags indicate that they at least made it to retail in some capacity. This would rule out samples or mock ups.
  2. It would have been nice to see a slightly larger version of Hun-Grrr. I agree with that. However, I have to say the transformation is clean and I like how the chest is formed by using the front arms in beast mode and by the heads twisting off to the side. It results in a somewhat clean back as well that does not have as big of a hollowed out area or back kibble commonly found in Hasbro/Takara productions as of late. I was really hoping there would be a large rifle or something but I will either wait for a 3rd Party addition or see what shows up online and have a friend 3D print one for me.
  3. The limbs finally arrived courtesy of BBTS... These five were one of my most favorite set of Transformers as a kid. I sold off the G1 versions years ago... but jumped when I saw that Hasbro made a modern set. This is currently inside the cabinet eventually to find a place in the office.
  4. I wound up passing on everything for now.
  5. I wish everyone would post what they buy AFTER they buy it to give some of the rest of us some ideas. I just bought two pages of art so I have to decide if I want to pursue anything today.
  6. Still waiting for an action figure from Macau. I ordered the item on June 7th. It was supposed to arrive no later than mid July. Seller says that they didn't send it out and would do so the next day. The tracking number provided did not work and while the tracking number was created nothing was submitted. I complained and again I was told that he was sorry. The item is supposedly en route as of August 4th. This is a reputable vendor in China that I have bought from frequently and one that I would still like to do business with again. However, the window of opportunity is closing for me to act on the recover of my money should something go wrong. The item is a sought after Star Wars figure that I purchased for $50. SMH
  7. Absolutely agree. As much as I love GI Joe I believe the line is somewhere between life support and death. Transformers though seem to continue to go strong. I think kids will always love big robots and things like that. They seem to continue to perform no matter what above all other lines.
  8. Toy Guy here... The numbers for Solo and TLJ were down from what you would expect from a tentpole movie. Usually the toys experience a boom during such an event and non movie years experience a decline. However, the current crop of movies may not be to blame for that. If we are talking about Hasbro figure sales then the problem has been poor case assortments, poor distribution, and misdirection of the brand as far as reverting from multi articulated to 70's style 5 Points of Articulation. Hasbro has been mixing case assortments with classic trilogy figures along with the newer characters. The problem is that distribution is chaotic and newer merchandise is not put on the shelves until the old merchandise sells. Once you have even one hiccup it causes a chain reaction for subsequent waves. Hasbro's hiccup started around 2012 and they have been trying to stop the runaway train each year since then. At this time, newer figures sit in the back and by the time they are put on pegs, they have already been marked down to clearance in the store's system. Another example of poor distribution and scheduling is that last year at SDCC, Hasbro announced that the Vintage Collection would make a return. Multiple points of articulation, classic card backs, more intricately designed figures and toys. It has been a full year and only ONE wave of this series has been released with several of these figures being re-releases. You can't go by the current climate of the toys to gauge interest on Star Wars.

  10. If anyone can find out scale or comparison please join in. I *think* that the figure is Voyager sized. They are supposedly going to be made more sturdy but with a higher price point. The Power of the Primes Optimus with the Orion Pax was actually the same size as the Masterpiece counterpart but it was just a jumbled mess in my opinion as was the Rodimus Prime which was a parts-former as far as I was concerned. Even at Voyager level this will probably earn it's way on my shelf. I am being VERY selective these days.
  11. At this point I just shrug at them and have learned to accept them. My latest batch came back with them. Maybe it was because they were shipped and transported during the summer.
  12. I finally found a basic Optimus figure I can get behind. I am glad I passed on Power of the Primes Optimus. I patiently await the Siege of Cybertron 2019 version: Side note... That upcoming Ultra Magnus...whoa
  13. Bought this but do not know if I am going to keep it or resell it to launder all my eBay bucks. With the $25 coupon and around $40 in eBay bucks I bought this at a price where if I resell it in a few months if I don't want to look at it, I at least make my money back and eBay bucks get turned into cash profit. There really wasn't anything out there that I needed. I only have one of the Gentle Giant Jumbo SW figures and that is of Hammerhead since the figure looked ridiculously cool in Jumbo size.
  14. How long ago did you sell it ? I have Nimoy CGC saved as a search and have not seen this? Has this book been missing more than six months?
  15. I ordered a set of Lego stickers from the Netherlands around three years ago. They arrived a couple of months ago. You never know
  16. I went down to Florida and went to the Magic Kingdom for one day and then on another day we went to Disney Springs at night. Here are three pieces from my haul. I had two droids built and I bought the pictured Lego set which is a Lego Flagship store exclusive. You can buy them on eBay for twice the price but it is kind of fun to get one at retail in the wild. Got back last night btw.
  17. Once again proving why lego was is and always will be the best toy.
  18. I do not ever remember a time when CGC did on site grading at NYCC. Is this something new for this year? They take submissions and bring them back with them to Florida, but as far as I know they have never brought the encapsulation machines up to New York with them.
  19. It's like getting a free pair of footwear for every two pairs I sell... that normally would have been thrown in the trash. It's surreal.
  20. No on all three... I actually wore these shoes to Infinity War... been wearing my summer loafers around even more once they started shredding. Sometimes, my old shoes seem to go for more than I originally paid for them as 'new'. At worst, I usually get 1/3 to 1/2 of what I paid.

  22. I am going to list a pair of old shoes in two weeks with Infinity War in the title. Wait and see.
