  1. "There are no problems, there’s only potential.” Luke's third lesson to Rey MAY play itself out in Episode 9 http://www.slashfilm.com/lukes-final-lesson-to-rey-star-wars-episode-9/
  2. John Williams says that Episode 9 will be his last Star Wars film http://collider.com/star-wars-9-john-williams-last-score/ However, his main title theme and other themes will probably be used throughout future movies as they are interwoven into future Star Wars soundtracks. Therefore, the money flow will still be headed toward the Williams Compound.
  3. Domhnall Gleeson's General Hux may not be in Episode IX http://www.digitalspy.com/movies/star-wars/news/a851788/star-wars-episode-9-cast-general-hux-domhnall-gleeson/
  4. Interesting... I am hoping that this might be the anthology tales of the bounty hunters thing that was thrown around.
  5. Couple of things I liked... almost upgraded an ASM but... there are a couple of things coming up elsewhere that catch my eye..
  6. I do not know anything outside of her character from Amazing Spider-man, but I am warming to the idea of Spider-Gwen... For some reason I am not minding the alternate universe origin story. Besides... I get to laugh even further as people scramble to pick up Edge of the Spider-verse 2 while ignoring ASM 31.
  7. Just remember... if you think it is a scam... nothing 'makes' you send ANYTHING anywhere. It's not like eBay is going to come to your place and force you to put anything in the mail. At the very least... if something does not feel right give it a day and call paypal.
  8. You are protected by PayPal Price? You pay for what you think it is worth. If you do not feel it is not worth it move on or wait. There is a high profile seller on these boards who has sold me a book with undisclosed restoration - they took it back after examining the book and made me whole. It happens once in awhile. It's part of the hobby. How people handle the situation is everything to me. I mostly buy and sell graded books anyway.
  9. I followed one and it ended on auction at $285 on February 23... I decided to buy a Golden Age book instead.
  10. Just sold another book on CLink that I had listed on eBay. Had it on eBay for $125 + shipping. Sold it on CLink for $135 to cover the shipping fees in sending it to them. So for the buyer they are paying more considering they pay a shipping fee on top of the $135 for CLink to ship it to them. Right now I am duplicating all my listings on CLink - see how this works out.
  11. That was quick... Check received yesterday.
  12. I really do not understand this statement. I am not demeaning it or trying to say it is a bad idea... I really do not understand it. When you have the iPad in your hand... you swipe and there is a new page. If anything there are certain reveals that are kept in tack because you do not see them on the opposite side of the page before you are supposed to. I would think that the idea of only being able to look at a single page (or intended double page when it is a DPS) actually upholds the integrity of the storytelling. There is a guy I know that used to spend $100 + a week on new books. Let's think about that for a second. That is more than $5200 a year on new stuff. Don't ever tell people that you cannot afford a $200-500 book when you are throwing that down for new stuff that will be in dollar bins or quarter boxes by the end of the year.
  13. Page of Infantino Supergirl Art... Sold it for $500 over eBay + shipping in late August of 2016 (Maybe early September). Guy REALLY REALLY REALLY wanted it... and I was saving up for the house. He also told me what a fan he was of the piece and if I had any more art from that era or of that title and character he would love to add it to his collection. A couple of months later* @Columbia Comics sends me a text message that the page I sold to the guy that REALLY REALLY wanted it, is in that month's CLink Auction. I won it back for $260. Sometimes these things have a way of making their way back home. However I have sold off a LOT of things that I cannot remember because at the end of the day they really did not matter. On the other hand though... that ASM page has come up for sale over CLink again and for yet another time I have missed owning it. *Literally a couple of months later. This would mean that it was handed over to CLink almost immediately for it to appear in the November auction.
  14. A piece of me just melted just remembering that.
  15. The only reason I disagree with you on this... TMNT owes its value to building a kid friendly, teenage friendly franchise. It has had kid friendly toys, cartoons, comics, movies and other assorted tie-ins. It has reinvented itself in various incarnations depending on the target audience it sought to reach and it was easily adaptable to any target audience. TMNT is a franchise that has surpassed the comics and can easily sustain itself without them. I do not know if Walking Dead can do that. Eventually the show is going to wrap up or it is going to be cancelled. That's just the way TV is. The Walking Dead is not a kid friendly show but it DOES have a voracious cult following. However the long term value of the book is predicated on sustaining that fan base over the years even when the zombie idea loses steam. Can the Walking Dead sustain itself as a franchise after the death of Rick and the remaining main characters? If so, for how long? The Walking Dead will need to have a constant media presence in more than just the comics. However, I do not see kid friendly Walking Dead toys nor Saturday Morning cartoons. I don't know if the Walking Dead can achieve TMNT levels of engagement due to the nature and subject matter of the show. And hey... I am easily willing to say that I could be wrong with this and I am not framing it in the right perspective.
  16. This is what happens when you want to participate in Bunky Brian’s thread but the books are too rich for your blood... and if you do not know what is going on over in his thread in the Gold Section shame on you and go take a look... Anyway... bought myself a consolation prize... hopefully this will become my undercopy one day... All jokes aside, I’ve wanted a copy of this for a couple of years.
  17. I'm just posting to say I was a witness to all of this. I cannot wait to see the unveiling of the new addition. Best of luck.
