The spoiler tags are annoying. Anyone opening this thread should be aware that people are talking about the show and that obviously includes the most recent airing. Some people are waiting for the bluray. Where to draw the line?
/rant
I have to agree with this. Practically every forum on the Internet, when dealing with spoilers, has a "fair game" policy after the first airing of the television show.
Why not just wait to see an episode before reading this thread?
Having to click these spoiler "reveals" in the majority of the thread is getting annoying.

I'm pretty sure the RC is 1:10.

Yeah that sounds just as bad as mine. Mine doesn't do it when the lid is open though..
I don't feel like sending it back though cause shipping would probably be half of what i paid for it anyway.
Yeah, mine has never made that God awful sound, sorry

So the Ebay Hp 8300 arrived today, only weird thing about it is that after scanning the "roller" (not sure what it's called) gets stuck and makes a loud obnoxious sound. Only when the lid/cover is closed. If I scan while the lid/cover is open it scans with no problem. Not sure if I should return it or not.
Scanned at 300 Dpi
The scanner is loud, not sure what you mean by "stuck" tho. I would normally scan with the lid down, tho.
If you can shoot a mini video with your phone and post it to YouTube I can tell you if it looks normal to me.

Is there two different Hp 8300's cause the ones I've seen so far don't look "legal size".
that is the one im selling

Anybody in Tampa wants a HP Scanjet 8300, you can have it for $20. PM me if interested.
-
If they sell the variant for $200, they only need 7 customers to buy a set of the 8 regular covers, and they break even. The rest of the books are pure profit, and the variant may sell for more as well. It's that simple for a LCS owner. They don't have eBay fees or shipping hassles to deal with.
I think your logic is slightly off here... you aren't including rent, electric, water, etc., etc. that goes into a brick & mortar strore.

Since when was Benicio Del Toro in The Walking Dead?

I might be late to the party on this one but what is the deal with the relaunch of Detective comics? A run is going for a lot on eBay.
all DC 52 #1's are HTF. Detective Comics #1 was one of them.
I very very rarely dip into this pool, but I have to here - this statement is just factually wrong. They are NOT hard to find - there may be a lot of demand for them, but they're everywhere.
I have to agree. I have an auction for all 52 #1's and nobody has even sniffed the opening bid of $99. Nobody is watching the auction either :-(

Any idea what the original CHEW Guillory Christmas cards are going for? I didn't see any on current or completed eBay auctions.

If you guys aren't following Rob on Twitter you should be. Guy is one of the funniest tweeters I follow.

I don't have any CGC books to scan - but I think a few other forumites have this same scanner.

So, a recap on viable legal size printers:
Microtek i800
HP 7410 All-In-One
HP 7780 All-In-One
Brother MFC-8480DN
HP SCANJET 4000
The HP Scanjet 8300 is also a quality scanner that will fit CGC books.

If anyone lives in the Tampa Bay area, I'm selling my legal size scanner:
HP / Hewlett Packard Scanjet 8300 Professional Image Scanner
I'll part with it for $150.
It's in perfect working condition and comes with the power cord and USB connector still.
