agreed agreed, my only thought to the JMG is that he appears to be a serial deal breaker, or at least a serial shady negotiator, and if anyone has had a simple and fair transaction with him (where JMG is the seller) they havent come out to defend the guy yet... every one who has come forward has painted the same shady fluctuating price/imaginary competing offers strategy. I think a serial deal breaker might be HOS worthy. But in reality its a moot point right? People who are on the PL get the same (or at least enough) scarlet letter treatment to keep them off the boards, or at least out of the public marketplaces, so there's no real punitive difference between the PL and the HOS right? The only difference is someone on the PL has a way to make things right, while a HOSer is done. Someone who is a lifetime PLer (cause they've stated they never intend to make things right) is just as ostricized as a HOSer. is that a fair assessment?

The rules do say that the HoS candidate is subject to all the same rules as the PL candidate, but since the HoS is essentially collective judgment, and the PL is not about collective judgment, my feeling is that the process should be repeated specifically for the HoS. Can others chime in for a seconding or concensus that dem should re-run thru the PL process in order to put JMG in the Hall of shame?

Yes you da man... thanks for the 7.0, now I have to decide if I want to: a) sell the better centered under copy b) sell the higher grade but off centered top census copy or c) HOARD! ps the 8.0 was from Dr. Balls, raw. It was sold as an VF (8.0) so spot on centering by the Dr.

It would certainly seem to me that JMG's actions indicate he isn't going to change his tune or his behavior any time soon. I support this as well. Again, I have been made aware of a pattern of behavior so I'm not the only person he has done this to. If you see the thread, others actually nominated him as well. Please also note that consistent with his prior behavior in changing his name, when the thread did not go as he planned, he changed the title and removed the piece from being for sale. But I thought it was rather brilliant the way he changed his first post to still indicate that he had a Superman cover for sale if anyone y'know, wanted to PM him to inquire about it. And again, I think the entire thread is a great example of The Probation List in action. I don't know if it's important but, in my dealing and communications there have been three names used: Crees Tyler Chris (or Christophe) Gomez Jean-Marc Perez thanks man, I dont know if the PList adds non ID aliases, but here they are...

Just got back the highest graded CGC SS House of Secrets 88 with Neal's sig on it. Only 2 SS in census, and I own both (the others a 7.0). Here's the 8.0:

So in reading the rules of the PL and the HOS, am I right to understand that all it takes is a poll to vote for the PL person to be upgraded to HOS status (assuming the transgression is worthy of HOS status)? No additional notifications (since all of that due process was followed to put JMG on the PL in the first place? Or does dem need to PM JMG to tell him he's been nominated for HOS and give him the 72 hrs to respond? Advisors?

if his (JMG's) actions appeared in isolation and he had had subsequent transactions w/o shenanigans I could see it being viewed as a one time mistake... But the approach JMG took with the Lee piece ("PM me for price/offer") seemed like he was prepared to take the same tactic again. but that is me doing ALOT of inferring...

RE: JMG (Probation list added 12/26/12) off-board Crees Tyler (CAF), Im not entirely sure how one does it, but based on yesterday's attempted Jim Lee Superman OA offering by JMG (a Probation member), and his subsequent posts showing a) his complete disregard for the deal that put him on the list, and b) his admittance that a deal was made that he then went back on (and his sudden decision to create a new ID after that non-deal) does it seem worthy of him being listed for the HOS? I have not been very involved in HOS/Probation list discussions so I dont have a good feel for what is/isnt worthy of the HOS upgrade.

All I can find from the scans is the area in the back that I hilighted in red. If that's water damage/stain, it could be bigger than appears in the scan, and it could be much less appealing than in scans, but as you said we'll see once its in hand...

two coming my way from the bay... will post better scans once they are in my hot little hands (I have a medical condition!) Sinister House of Secret Love #1 CGC 7.5 Really cant tell what the problem is with this book. Scans of the bottom portion didnt show any creasing or big 7.5 worthy problems. Only thing I see is a possible slight hint of back cover staining but the scan doesnt make it look very visible, we'll see what it looks like in hand. Either way considering how nicely centered it was, I wanted it (I'll take lower grade well centered copies at a discount any day!) Dracula Lives #3 CGC 8.0 Adams cover, and a Lady in White. I know this is magazine sized, but it went with the theme of Bronze horror, so here it is!

let me be the first to say that buying from gadzukes was a pleasure. A smooth, non-paypal associated (check) transaction, good communication and great shipping. The strange thing is that when I was removing the restraining bolt on the All Star Superman Absolute I bought, it started playing this weird hologram recording saying "help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope", and the note in the book said that it used to be the property of someone called Obi Wan Kenobi... wonder if he means old Ben Kenobi... hmmmm buy Droids from this guy with confidence!

bought a Green Lantern CGC Sig Series slab from George (somewhereintexas) on ebay, book shipped fast and super well packed (think huge box with a ton of padding, air bags and bubble wrap for one slab). If he is selling on here, or ebay I'd have no worried about his selling and shipping methods! I would also not worry if he happens to go into a trance mid transaction. SomewhereInTexas is one of the boards foremost transendental meditation practioners. Its rumored when he goes into a trance that he is actually leaving his body and traveling thru space and time to procure more books from the newsstands in the 40s and 50s, hiding them in the basement of that old brownstone on 14th street only to return to modern day, revisit that brownstone and pull out minty fresh copies of Pep, Captain America and Ms Fury.

it shouldn't be. Was there ever a rationale explained behind the rule? Im not even sure when that rule was added or if it's always been there and we're just now running into a scenario where there are actual Legit ways to sell digital copies. hmmm come to think of it I've seen a few sales threads that included those DVDs of comics (the legit ones thru Marvel) and those sales didnt get pulled...

Question: So selling legitimate licensed single use digital codes is forbidden, but selling unlicensed items we made at home is ok? How does that make sense?

feels a little like Wasteland. With the renewed interest Hollywood has in Sci-Fi/Fantasy it could get some looks. Also if the first few issues rope enough readers in with a good story, then they'll let it play out for a while so Hickman can do some world building.
