  1. Now you will see one of the Challenges of the Mexican Editions. the issues crossed titles randomly So. you may get part of the title in one series then is is another. Aguila Blanca 80 or KID COLT 100
  2. Hi Guys, Don't post much on here any more. I wanted to share an interesting twist on Silver Age Marvel Westerns. Mexican editions by La Prensa. Some of these are so rare sites that document them don't even have photos of them. Most of these I have only ever seen 1 copy and I am the lucky person to own it. Condition of these is also very special as most issues that did do survive from the period are low grade at best. These came out within a couple months of their U.S. counterparts. First up Davy Crockett 61 or as the U.S. know it Two Gun Kid 58.
  3. I took up a more challenging aspect of the hobby. I am slowly working on putting together the run of Fantastic Four from Mexico. This is Los 4 Fantasticos 1 from 9/62. This is less than a year after the U.S. version. This is the first foreign Marvel Superhero book printed outside the U.S. Interesting Item is that the cover art is Kirby's original unedited work and the inking is finer and shows more detail. If you have the money, you can pick up a U.S. copy 7 days a week. While with this there are only 10 known copies and collectors estimate 25 or so in existence.
  4. Anyone see one like this. I think the top flap may have been cut off? The header it part of the bag instead of a"flap on top
  5. I would rather pick up some cheap books from your "store front" Ed. Get in any new collections lately?
  6. I have only been on here maybe twice in the past 3 months .
  7. I just saw this today on Facebook for the first time. I assume this is a new con. Wish I had found out about it earlier to prep for it.
  8. I have a thing for old commissions. I picked up this one on Heritage. Manthing looks like a muppet but I think its a great piece regardless.
  9. Got my very first big commission today from the great Ken Kelly. I wanted the 70's look for the characters. With this being my first oil on canvas is there anything special that needs to be done when framing?
  10. Both are very cool pieces. Congrats. Wish I could help, but haven't seen them before.
  11. Another one for my Aussie reprint collection. I have found these tough to find in decent shape.
  12. I have been mainly working on my car, buying some art, and magazines. I took a hiatus from all collecting for about 6 months plus I just needed a break.
  13. I haven't posted in the SA section in a year or two. I am still around. I just picked up this pence copy. Yep I still buy them. This is a good example of why I buy pence. The colors just pop on this book.
  14. Deadly Hands of Kung Fu is a great series. Has a lot of god reading.
  15. Its a clean book I would call it a 8.0. There are a couple spine ticks , but I only paid 30 for the lot so I can't complain. I get better deals on comics at the odd ball shows than comic shows. I fine nice golden age stuff from paper ephemera shows and you don't have to compete with collectors. The Tales of a Zombie and the Cheapie Hulk are the nicest, both being nm.
  16. Yeah, I am a hoarder when it comes to Magazines. I just keep buying them even when I have them already.
  17. I went to a toy show today and found some cheap magazines. They are all doubles and in some case quadruples, but for price I couldn't pass them up The guy says be has a ton more and will bring them to the next show for me.
  18. 575.00 for the next hour then I close this out.
