  1. The 201 remains one of my favorite oddball covers. The 205 cost me relatively big bucks by my standards back when I got it... I think 9 dollars? Money well spent, to be sure.
  2. I find it interesting that Animal Man always got the cover when most of the recurring features didn't, or at least didn't get them every time.
  3. I had the 184 signed by Gil Kane, but the signature is on the 1st page, not the cover. When I handed him the book, he started flipping through it slowly. I asked him if something was wrong; he replied "I just haven't seen this story in years, my boy!" The 187 was definitely a cheap bin pickup back when I got it; you won't find it there any more for sure.
  4. Was super happy to find the #180 just before it jumped back in the day.
  5. It's been one of my favorite underrated, oddball titles for years. So, in honor of the recent relaunch, and because I'm sitting at home socially distancing myself anyway, I decided to scan what I had and start a thread. Hoping others will contribute, as is the case with a lot of my collection my copies are generally low grade. I have many of the key issues from 110 up as near as I can tell, at least. Some of them are some of the earliest Silver Age books I ever owned, treasures from quarter bins when finding any book that was older than myself that I could afford on my allowance was a major triumph.
  6. With a very few exceptions, there isn't that much demand for Amazing Stories among SF fans. It's beloved as the first SF pulp and a classic name, but for much of its history it's been viewed as a third rate title where stuff that couldn't get published elsewhere, or fringe weirdness, winds up. I sometimes describe it as I love Amazing Stories because, well, it's Amazing Stories... but in most (not all) cases I don't actually like it very much. With that said, those are some amazing looking books with wonderful covers!
  7. Not high grade, but still a decent copy. Fresh in today:
  8. Not my only Mark Jewelers book... but the only one I've got that's remotely noteworthy beyond the MJ ad itself:
  9. Very quickly ran into my LCS to grab new books, snagged this as well. I'm already missing the hang out and chat part of the weekly comic run...
  10. https://digitalcomicmuseum.com/index.php?dlid=2667 I should read it myself, that is a crazy cover.
  11. Last issue before a title change to last issue before a title change:
  12. I want to say I got it at 3 for $10, along with the #17 and Vampirella #50. Along with a notably better (but still lower grade) Creepy #32 for $10 on its own. Some very nice reading picked up that day.
