  1. Shouldn't you be reviewing dodgy Superhero movies? Sat through (most of) Batman And Robin, Tank Girl, Catwoman and Elektra the night before last. Elektra was passable...the rest were even worse than I thought possible. Especially B & R. Actually, it was very funny. Not sure what was worse - Arnie attempting to camp it up, Thurman trying to be a pantomime dame, or Clooney looking like he'd rather be anywhere else. You can see the despair and anguish in his eyes with each line. Why were you watching those? Embarrassing as it is to admit, I'd never sat through those turkeys. Doing a review of comic-related flicks from the last 20 years for Tripwire, so I have to see the dreadful with the decent. You really wanted to see the following in action Uma Thurman Halle Berry Jernnifer Garner Lorri Petty It didn't hurt that those fit birds were in those films, but after a while the ghastliness wears you down... Out of all those ladies, only Berry has proven herself to be a good actress with range. Why she signed up for a film that seemed to have been written by an eight year old for eight year olds is baffling....

  4. I was having the same conversation about the Clooney bobble-head yesterday. Yes, it's annoying, but there's also the smug perma-grin. He's improved in recent years...

  6. Today's the Birthday of Jacques Lemaire who was an enormously popular Hall Of Fame player for the Montreal Canadiens hockey team. I would expect Jimmers to be running wild through the streets in celebration of Jacques' storied career until the wee hours at least. I knew all that.
  7. That's not happened yet. Been there. The guy who's "one of our team" (as the incredibly irritating recorded voice would have it) hasn't got any real clue and the whole thing is just Branston's method of discouraging you from calling them again.
  8. Fixed that for ya. (thumbs u The Breakfast Of Champions.
  9. I expect you back here at 1200 hours for the obligatory incoherent and drunken posting.
  10. I was trying to come up with a nickname for you, but all I could think of was Elvis.
  11. Yeah, it's such a winning nickname. Should it not read CowPo? As in cowpoke? Best not to go there. Perhaps that was a bit much.

  13. The Wild Bunch. Holden and Borgnine...even more anti-heroic than Clint. Anyone mention High Plains Drifter?
  14. Soft focus and photoshop work wonders.....
  15. Great pics, Monsieur French. I look dishevelled and unkempt as usual.
  16. Look into their eyes, deep into their eyes, then you'll see where it went. You can never tell with F_T. As for Garry... Yeah I see where it went Actually I was unusually quite sober. And coherent.
