  1. The darts commentator? Damn. Just checked the Beeb (although I had to search, amidst all the Olympic stuff). He was 72.
  2. Yep, Mo, Wiggins and Ennis are more than likely to pick up titles.
  3. Great books, Andy. The WTOTF is a must-have for any horrorhead. Upgrade?
  4. Going somewhere? Still packing my house for our move across the Pond My man cave is 95% complete, now just need to start the rest of the house Does this mean I have a place to stay in Florida That's quite a move. I'd find it hard to leave the idyll of Jersey.
  5. Some chicks that Garry has the hots for. I've got the hots for most comic book chicks. Sorry but i couldn't help it Matt, Is that your cover request mate? Yep. He's a chubby chaser.
  6. Don't wear yourself out. It's a warm up before I hit the bike - just watching the end of the outside 10k swimming. Some pics in the WC to follow, natch...
  7. Yep. Far more entertaining than women's Football, which is difficult to sit through...the penalty shootout at the end of the Holland / NZ match was good. And the Dutch and Argentinian teams were mostly composed of hotties.
  8. India, despite their population (1.2 billion) have only picked up three medals and no golds. They'd be very happy to see cricket at the Games. Not that anyone outside the Commonwealth would be interested.... Probably because they don't snatch their kids at age 4, train them, have little contact with their parents etc like the other billion populated country we know of..... Such a difference in attitude between the two mega-populated nations.

  10. She was, and Team GB should've appealed. She only strayed over the line due to being pushed in that direction. She fell for an old trick in the second sprint, though. And huzzah for Hoy and Trott. Nice moment when Hoy was congratulated as the most successful British Olympian by Steven Redgrave.
  11. Can't figure out what's Olympian about synchronised swimming, and various other non-sports like that. Bit surprised that Squash isn't in the Olympics. I know that the U.S. has a different version of the game, but I'm sure they could adapt...
  12. 16 golds....but can Team GB equal Beijing's 19? Not sure what contenders are left in the athletics events.
  13. It gave a bunch of second-string players (and first string Welsh ones) a chance to play in an international competition. A quarter-final against South Korea should've been a walkover for Pearce's men, which would've meant the team would've been in line for a medal and a chance to put behind some of the misery of previous tournaments. But it was not to be.
  14. Indeed The whole day has been pretty great - apart from the football of course. Yep. Lineker cuts to the football after the euphoria of the athletics and mentions that England's match has gone to penalties.
