  1. I too dislike that format, and I'm not sure I see the benefit to either buyer or seller.
  2. Closing this down and putting the book back in the vault. Appreciate all the PM convos that this has generated, talking Cole books and such. And for those who have PMed quoting GPA:
  3. A few tirekickers and one deep dive into a potential trade but nothing finalized. I love this book but I have another copy on its way to Sarasota which is why I have this one available. I'm not going to offer any fixed discounts but if someone is a serious buyer, PM me and we can talk.
  4. Ah, so you're the one that grabbed that. I had it on my watchlist forever and couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger.
  5. Hey, I sent you these pics of @GACollectibles in confidence
  6. I'm guessing it's putting women in all the leadership roles but that's not a political topic so I'm back to having no idea what straw man you and your friends are getting all worked up about.
  7. Unshaved armpits? I have no idea what you are dancing around.
  8. I would also trade this book for an equivalent value Startling 49 or Contact 12 So I'm thinking something in the GD/VG range
  9. LB Cole mega classic. Graded universal 4.5 with off-white to white pages. Looks much better in hand than this scan can capture. $2400 shipped and insured in the US. SOLD
  10. First takeit wins and immediately trumps all PM negotiations. Any variation of "takeit" counts. I accept Paypal, Venmo, check, money order or cash. No Hall of Shamers or Probies. Payment expected in 72 hours unless we work it out ahead of time. US shipping is included. I will ship internationally at cost. Three days' return shipping from receipt. Buyer is responsible for shipping cost back unless item was damaged in transit. Please do not edit takeits and please do not commit to buy unless you intend to follow through.
  11. Two dozen comics (okay, 23 comics and one magazine). Various eras of TMNT, including the original series and some stuff from IDW. Some variants, a blank, and a copy of the Kevin Eastman variant of Heavy Metal 265, still sealed. Average grade is about NM-, with one or two worse and some better. $40 shipped in the US. for the whole deal.

  13. I also recently picked this up from Steve Lavigne. A metal print of his TMNT 1 homage. I own the blue line OA for this image so I had to grab the metal print.
  14. Here's my Funbag take. The TPBs and some of the variants I'll hang onto. The rest of the books I'll move along. The two books I was happiest to find were the Ultimate Collection Vol 3 since I don't have that one, and the orange error variant of the Jetpack edition of IDW issue 1.
  15. That's a good point. When I think "collector" I think someone active in the collecting community, such as buying from LCS' or attending conventions or engaging in online message boards or watching related content on Youtube or SOMETHING that would be a generally accepted activity in the hobby that would lead one to purchasing a comic. However, probably all of my male friends, most of whom grew up in the 90s and watched at least the X-Men Animated Series, definitely have a handful of comics lying around somewhere. This includes one friend who recently found a beat up copy of Gambit 1 (1993), looked up prices for graded copies on ebay, and now insists that he's sitting on a comic worth $100.
