  1. I'm confused. Is someone being nominated for the probation list? Or is this a Festivus style Airing of Grievances? Can social distancing be maintained during the Feats of Strength? So many questions...
  2. Well, I think we already know the answer to that soooo...
  3. Not messing with you. You asked what one does with cash upon receipt in the event that other parties stop accepting cash as payment. For some reason I got responses about poor people and the Patriot Act.
  4. Can't the cash just be deposited into a bank account?
  5. I feel okay. Pretty relaxed. Content. I'd still prefer to receive the slab in the condition I'm paying for.
  6. I believe Albedo 2 had a print run of 2000 copies. There was development of an animated series a few years back. I assume that caused the spike.
  7. I sold a 5.o a few years ago for, what I thought at the time, was a great price. Didn't take me long to regret that sale.
  8. Albedo 2 could drop independent of economic events. That book shot up in value with such rapidity that some price resistance was (or is) inevitable.
  9. CGC received my package (teehee) 3 days ago and hasn't logged it into the system yet. I think that's the longest I've ever waited for them to log that in. I wonder if they're seeing a sudden increase in submissions.
  10. I figured that Blue Bolt 105 would have flown out of here. That book is right up there with Mask 1 & 2.
  11. Are prices dropping? Not from what I've been seeing.
  12. Over the last six months I would say about 50% of my received slabs have this type of scuffing, ranging from "Tolerable Amounts" to "Is This a Joke?".
  13. And on the flip side there are buyers who will actually take advantage of a seller who made an acknowledged mistake
  14. This has been an issue with their slabs for months. At some point the cost of them reholdering these slabs, sometimes more than once, has to outweigh the cost of them just using a higher quality material.
  15. I've had numerous interactions with Neal Adams over the years, often randomly, such as him calling me over to his table while I'm walking by or coming over to a booth I've been working, always just to shoot the shib. He's definitely a character and makes no secret of that fact that he's at a convention strictly to make money, but he's always been pleasant enough. Don Rosa is yin and yang. Sometimes he's the most personable guy in the world, chatting you up and drawing sketches for free. Other times he acts like he'd sooner see you dead than say hello. Jae Lee has always been crotchety any time I've interacted with him. Two guys that are ALWAYS in a great mood: Stan Sakai and Steve Lavigne.
  16. I feel like the rules set out for the Signature Series program are crystal clear. Yellow label = signature witnessed by a CGC witness. How can this be so confusing to so many people?
  17. I met some of them at their lodge in Stowe VT about two years ago. And by "met" I mean I ate a pretzel and drank a bunch of Trapp Ale.
