  1. Nature Boy 5 CGC 4.5. Atop all the lists of all time favorite covers, regardless of age or genre (I assume). SOLD
  2. Trio of Man's True Action Magazines from Star. 1955-1956. LB Cole covers. Each full of action, suspense, etc. Average grade about Gd+. Rare. $125 shipped for the trio. SOLD
  3. Takes: First takeit in the thread wins and immediately trumps all ongoing PM negotiations. I reserve the right to overrule takes in the event that a PM deal is concluded and I hadn't yet had a chance to mark an item sold. Any variation of "takeit" counts. Please do not edit takeits and please do not commit to buy unless you intend to follow through. Payment: Zelle, Check or MO preferred. Paypal or Venmo okay for purchases under $100. Who can buy: No Hall of Shamers or Probies, or anyone on my personal list. Shipping: Free in the US. International at cost. Returns: Three days' return shipping from receipt. Buyer is responsible for shipping cost back unless item was damaged in transit.
  4. Something happens to the human brain when it turns 35. We immediately complain about how terrible the younger generation is and how everything was perfect when we were 12. Read any interview with a retired baseball player and they will complain about how soft the current players are. I'm not talking just about current retired players. I've read these quotes going back to the late 1800s .
  5. This has been true since kids were invented.
  6. My kids and their friends all collect things, including Pokémon cards, sports cards and Legos. I don't know where this idea came from that no one collects things anymore. Being into digital entertainment doesn't create an either-or decision with collecting. One can both enjoy digital media while also enjoying physical media. People of all ages have varied interests.
  7. Perhaps you haven't seen the horror and crime comics from the early 50s...
  8. I didn't even realize I haven't received an email from them for a couple weeks, until I saw this thread.
  9. I've been hearing rumors of Todd McFarlane using proxy bidders to inflate the value of his art at auction for a long time. It doesn't have to be friends or relatives.
