  1. Are the naked pictures a result of the boners or are the boners a result of the naked pictures?
  2. What did I miss? Looks like posts were deleted.
  3. Loving the gold sig. Your choice or Neal's?
  4. You could always just write "No returns" in your sales thread.
  5. What does that have to do with restoration? Nothing. Read the whole post before responding next time. How were those pissy cornflakes this morning? Vinegary.

  8. That's fine. I have no problem with this. Just spitballing ideas here. Fatty Acid Oxidation Disorder?
  9. Well then this whole back and forth seems simple enough. Some sellers are willing to accept accountability for the items they sell and some aren't. I suppose there's not much to do here regarding the PL but I am suprised that there are people willing to tell buyers to fugg off after an unfortunate deal.
  10. Yes. Again, buying and selling raw books online is a risk. At some point, people are going to get fugged by a restored book. I know I have. At that point it is not unreasonable to begin a conversation between seller and buyer to discuss equitable terms. Throwing your hands up and saying, "This isn't my fault!" doesn't really solve the problem. When Best Buy sells a defective laptop, the store isn't the one that inspects the device for quality but it will be the one that must issue the refund to the disappointed buyer.
  11. Selling raw books is a risk. If one is unwilling to take responsibility for one's wares then perhaps one should not be selling online. Frankly, I'm surprised there are people willing to argue the other side of this point. I myself circumvent these scenarios by trying to only buy and sell slabbed books. You are not a restoration expert. Neither am I. But that's not really a good reason for sticking an unsuspecting buyer with a restored book.
  12. If you sell a book and it comes back trimmed, and the seller brings it to your attention, how do you react? "SUCKER!!!" Okay, that made me laugh.

  14. I have a 2.5 that I bought as a 3.5 Not much kudos to Atomic Avenue - again. Won't post a pic because there's nothing really great to see.
  15. It's not possible to love him too much.
  16. Does anyone know if John Kricfalusi is appearing anywhere?
  17. I have an ETERNALS 1 VARIANT CGC 9.8 SIGNED BY NEIL GAIMAN AND JOHN ROMITA JR. available for trade. I picked this up recently from a boardie but had a chance to snag a Gaiman I've wanted for a long time today so I'm making this one available. I like Batman sketches, early TMNT stuff, and whatever. PM me if you've been hunting for a Gaiman sig.
  18. Are they hard to differentiate? Don't they have completely different paper stock?
  19. you ever see a stan lee sig? I'm not a fan of SS either in most cases, but I can definitely see why some people are into it. It's cool its just not for me. Stan sigs. And that's fine. But you're not about to tell someone that they are wrong for collecting sigs. I went through a phase where I only collected blue labels. Then I went through a phase where everything had to be yellow. Now I like both. Maybe my next project will be purple It's all good in the neighborhood.
  20. I was in a semi-similar situation, in which I bought a book, got it graded, and it came back restored. It was a pricey book. I PMed the seller to let him know but did not demand that he refund me. I figured that was the risk of buying comics raw. The seller happened to be an abnormally standup guy and said he would refund all my expenses to the penny. I thought about it and took him up on the refund. The whole situation was unfortunate but I did not actually expect him to toss me that complete refund. He volunteered on his own. So I suppose my feeling would be to make the seller aware, put the onus on him/her to offer a refund, and use this to at least begin a conversation. Then decide accordingly what should be done about it. If the seller seems sincere then work out a mutually satisfying agreement. If the seller shrugs and says, "Whatevs. Your loss." Then nominate them for the PL. Ironically, I wish I had just kept the restored book I sent back. It's worth double now what I paid for it, even with the resto.
  21. He's brought this up before. We get it, he doesn't like SS. I'm not sure why he lets himself become so bothered by what happens to other collector's comics. No matter how much thin logic he types into these screeds, he's not going to convince SS collectors that they are wrong to buy what they like. I've never looked at a signature and thought to myself, "Boy, that sig is really DISTRACTING ME FROM THE ARTWORK.". That's silly.
