  1. It's not possible to love him too much.
  2. Does anyone know if John Kricfalusi is appearing anywhere?
  3. I have an ETERNALS 1 VARIANT CGC 9.8 SIGNED BY NEIL GAIMAN AND JOHN ROMITA JR. available for trade. I picked this up recently from a boardie but had a chance to snag a Gaiman I've wanted for a long time today so I'm making this one available. I like Batman sketches, early TMNT stuff, and whatever. PM me if you've been hunting for a Gaiman sig.
  4. Are they hard to differentiate? Don't they have completely different paper stock?
  5. you ever see a stan lee sig? I'm not a fan of SS either in most cases, but I can definitely see why some people are into it. It's cool its just not for me. Stan sigs. And that's fine. But you're not about to tell someone that they are wrong for collecting sigs. I went through a phase where I only collected blue labels. Then I went through a phase where everything had to be yellow. Now I like both. Maybe my next project will be purple It's all good in the neighborhood.
  6. I was in a semi-similar situation, in which I bought a book, got it graded, and it came back restored. It was a pricey book. I PMed the seller to let him know but did not demand that he refund me. I figured that was the risk of buying comics raw. The seller happened to be an abnormally standup guy and said he would refund all my expenses to the penny. I thought about it and took him up on the refund. The whole situation was unfortunate but I did not actually expect him to toss me that complete refund. He volunteered on his own. So I suppose my feeling would be to make the seller aware, put the onus on him/her to offer a refund, and use this to at least begin a conversation. Then decide accordingly what should be done about it. If the seller seems sincere then work out a mutually satisfying agreement. If the seller shrugs and says, "Whatevs. Your loss." Then nominate them for the PL. Ironically, I wish I had just kept the restored book I sent back. It's worth double now what I paid for it, even with the resto.
  7. He's brought this up before. We get it, he doesn't like SS. I'm not sure why he lets himself become so bothered by what happens to other collector's comics. No matter how much thin logic he types into these screeds, he's not going to convince SS collectors that they are wrong to buy what they like. I've never looked at a signature and thought to myself, "Boy, that sig is really DISTRACTING ME FROM THE ARTWORK.". That's silly.
  8. $750, eh? Wow. I wonder what the long term market for these printings is. When the first print prices started getting really bananas, it was logical for people to turn to the second prints to get their fix. But then the prices on the second prints shot up so they turn to the third prints but there's enough of those out there that prices shouldn't get too high. What does it all mean???
  9. I don't suppose anyone has recent GPA figures for the second and/or third prints...?
  10. I'll play. In no particular order: Batman by Tim Sale. My first sketch cover. And, you know, Tim Sale. Swamp Thing by John Totleben. My first Totleben. Paid a gazillion for it but, man, do I <3 that rendering. Miracleman by Totleben. Noticing a theme? I've had this copy in my collection since high school so it was great to add the sketch. Floronic Man by Totleben. Because this comic is fantastic and Woodrue is the real star of the story. Bane Breaks the Bat by Breyfogle. I just straight like this.
  11. I believe "The Yesterday Gambit" in Warrior Summer Special was never reprinted.
  12. At this point, the PL is almost incidental regarding Longdillon. Something weird went down with this JIM 83 sale. He can either get real about it or get defensive. Only one of those options will work towards making him a trustworthy seller again.
  13. Is Fringe eligible for the PL? What's happening here?
  14. Got some stuff for trade here. Totleben, TMNT, Rosa, and more. Looking to trade for Batman 121, Avengers 4, Gaiman-signed Miracleman or cash money.
  15. The PL is accuser-driven but it's not accuser manipulated. That is decided by jury who are comprised of the posters in this thread. Or, at least, that seems to have been the way things have gone.
  16. So the result of the JIM 83 transaction between longdillon and Jo Seph is: Jo Seph: -$60 Longdillon: +unknown profit from transaction with BlueHawaii It's inconsequential whether or not Jo Seph wants to move on or not. It's inconsequential how severe the end result "could" have been. All that matters is what actually happened for purposes of the probation list. Until Jo Seph receives a full refund for all costs incurred from Longdillon then to the PL dillon shall go. When that money gets refunded then dillon comes off the PL. Regarding future protections from Longdillon's treachery, well the PL isn't designed to predict the future; it's merely here to display the facts. Buyers and sellers can help protect themselves by trolling the mess out of this thread. Actually, that should be strongly encouraged one way or another.
  17. I think it's neat for sentimental value, but I wouldn't pay a premium for it. ditto +7
  18. Two people, you say. I'm scanning my memory and coming up empty.
  19. I think it's a fantastic idea. I too saw the owner getting this done and, I must say, he was absurdly attractive and had a lot of funny things to say that we all enjoyed. His wife was pretty hot too.
