  1. If it's high grade I would slab it, maybe not so much for lower grades. The prices on second prints have gone crazy lately so I'm guessing the 3rd prints will start seeing an uptick soon, if they haven't already. Speaking of 2nd prints, if anyone has a mid-grade copy they want to move, my PM box is currently open. I'm looking for the Gamestop variant too. :sneaky WTB post:
  2. 53 copies down, 2947 to go (or 2647, I suppose).
  3. Does anyone know if Eastman and/or Laird are appearing anywhere soon? I have about a scrabillion books for them to sign.
  4. I think they've gotten softer on this book in particular because of the cheap paper and black cover. Except for mine, which looks 7.0 in hand.
  5. He sold it to a boardie. It was a neat counterfeit, and I admit I made an offer too. I probably would have too. Two days ago I made a too-good-to-be-true deal with someone online to buy a 2nd print. The deal was sooo good that I emailed the seller to say, "Can you please ensure that this is actually the real 2nd print from 1984." Not surprisingly the seller emailed back to say, "I just checked and it's actually a 3rd print." I told the seller I still wanted it because the price was still fair, even for a 3rd print. I'm very curious to see what actually turns up in my mailbox.
  6. Crazy. It was like a Frankenstein counterfeit. Where is that book now?
  7. Awesome! Did CGC incorrectly identify your prior copy as a 1st print? What was it, a 2nd print? Counterfeit?
  8. Picked up a rare, rare sig for a nice price from Bruce. The shipping was lightning fast. Thanks!
  9. I still can't believe the prices of 2nd prints right now. I always keep my eyes open and when they do pop up the ask and/or sell prices are bananas. I should probably snag a 3rd print soon before they become unobtainable.
  10. I know for a fact that the diamond distributor in Boston tossed 300 of them in the garbage back in the 80's. It makes me woozy to think about how much money that would be these days. What's the story with that?
  11. Nice! Here are my latest additions, courtesy of Peter Palmer. I <3 issue 1 cover homages.
  12. I have these couple books available for trade. Looking for Gaiman or Edlund sigs and/or Peter Laird on any of the TMNT 1 printings or cover homages (yes, I know, that's oddly specific but whatevs).
  13. Oh, right. I misread your original post.
  14. Sick! Does this mean the JT books are starting to trickle in?
  15. Anyone have a TMNT 1 6th print hardcover they want to move?
  16. If Eastman and Laird want to give me a special thing I won't stop them. Finding a third is a tall task. We haven't even found .02% of them. I wonder how many copies are sitting in a landfill somewhere, cast aside by moms and chelonaphobics in the late 80s.
  17. Creed When I was 13 I was positive that my copy of Creed 1 was the key to my financial future. Maybe it still is.

  19. Seems like this is pretty common. I wonder how many of the initial print run Eastman and/or Laird signed on the inside FC.
