  1. I've been debating investing in some CGC frames but they're not exactly cheap and that could add up very quickly. Gah, just can't decide. :nerdproblems:
  2. And the backhanded compliment of the day award goes to,,, ...opens envelope... Oroku Saki! Congratulations!!!
  3. Not sure what Bio-Rupp's up to but I'm more than happy to bear Ronnie's children for selling me a sweet Hulk 181 in such a smooth fashion. Thanks, Ronnie! (thumbs u
  4. Was that you who posted your book and kept getting PMs saying you were asking too much?
  5. Dear Sean, As far as I know, Sakai is cool with Sig Series. Love, Ryan
  6. Cool story, bro. Too bad it doesn't say anything about Sig Series. My understanding is that has to be done as a clandestine operation.
  7. For those interested, I was emailing with Don Rosa's rep and asked about what Rosa will and will not sign. His reply:
  8. I've had a couple instances of sellers overgrading here but never been screwed over. I still feel very comfortable buying from boardies.
  9. I'll be swinging by New England Comics tomorrow. Happens to be right across the street from the bar in which I will be wearing a funny hat and spinning noisemakers whilst the clock strikes the new year. I'm hoping to walk out of NEC with at least the Complete Edlund TPB but I'll be keeping fingers for a #1. True story.
  10. I didn't commission this piece for resale at all. If I was going for that I would have requested Emma Frost making out with Rogue while Jean Grey slowly removed their costumes using telekinesis. I merely had an opportunity to buy a key I'd been chasing forever and needed to finance it with sales, which meant the most recent books got the cut. If I could have predicted such a pathetically low sale price I certainly would not have listed it. Is this idea copyrighted or can we start requesting it in our ops? You are free to use it so long as the artist writes "after ryanatlas" beneath his signature.

  12. How long did it take to get to your doorstep from the stated ship-out date?
  13. Joker vs Phantasm by Adelso Corona ends in a couple hours! Here!
  14. I need to get in this club. Hell, there is a New England Comics not 20 minutes from where I sit right now. I really want to re-read the original 12 issue series but the Complete Edlund is a touch pricey/hard to find.
  15. I don't see a 9.8Q on the census but it was only shipped today, according to the auction verbiage, so maybe it hasn't shown up yet.
  16. Forgot about this thread. I have a book to trade. A pretty sweet sketch of the Joker vs. Phantasm by Adelso Corona. Doesn't really fit my current focus right now. Willing to trade for signed Miracleman books, Frank Miller Batman SS, or Batmans with many sigs. or cash, of course.
  17. Alright, these numbers are right in the range. I got mine signed by Eastman as well, so that may drive up the value a bit. Although mine is a 5.0, it presents much, much better. Stupid water damage. Not that I'd be looking to sell it but was just curious if I paid the "correct" amount.
  18. I don't suppose anyone knows the rough market value of a 5.0? I kind of feel like I overpaid for mine but with the prices going up and up, maybe I paid a fair number.
