  1. Well my world is now turned upside-down. I thought the print runs were way lower.
  2. I want his 6. What are we talking about?
  3. I contacted the seller about the condition and he volunteered to send me a partial refund when the money "posts", whatever that means.
  4. Got this in the mail today. Definitely not a 9.8. I have it pegged at 9.0/9.2. I suppose it could have been worse.
  5. There could be an overriding PL Rule (30 days) where a deadbeat buyer/seller gets nominated. There could also then be a Stated Rules in Each Unique Sales Thread Rule where, whatever the seller states to be his/her rules, the seller is free to relist items if the buyer does not pay within the stated time frame but the buyer cannot be nominated for the PL. The problem with this, of course, is that some buyers will inevitably click the I'll Take It, change their mind, and just wait out the seller's time frame without fear of the PL. However, the seller would know to cut that buyer out of future transactions and, when relisting the item, could state something like, "Item relisted due to non-payment".
  6. I'm thinking of making the drive up. We need a facilitator.
  7. Nor I. Whatever the rules are is what they are and I've never had trouble following them. I do, however, always read a seller's personal rules before placing an I'll Take It. If a seller's rules are too granular or bizarre or whatever then I just move on. I myself tend not to install odd selling rules in my sales threads so this more devil's advocacy for me. All I demand (yes, demand) is that expectations for communication be set. That's where my problems with buying and selling here have been: being completely left in the dark for days at a time when someone buys something from me or when I buy something and the shipping gets delayed but that message is never relayed to me. This is a message board predicated on typing words into a screen and hitting Submit. Somehow this becomes an extraordinarily difficult task when it comes to sending a PM.
  8. Yes, it would be fair. If a buyer doesn't like the rules set by the seller then he or she has the option of not buying. How is that complicated?
  9. Selling and shipping delays happen. Not communicating the reasons for those delays is unnacceptable.
  10. I'm starting to think there should be a 24 hour payment or communication rule. If someone buys something but can't pay that day then they should send a PM stating their intentions, asking for time, working out details, etc. If you have enough time to post an I'll Take It then you have enough time to send a PM. I don't have anyone in particular in mind while I type this but the overall communication around here the last few months has been severely lacking.
  11. I'll report back when I get it. My experience with ebay grading has been, unsurprisingly, less than sterling.
  12. Well you guys just convinced me to buy this copy. We'll see how "mint" it is.
  13. Does anyone have any idea what the print run was on the TMNT 1 video game reprint?
  14. Dead cat bounce. I retract my joke and will return to the drawing board.
  15. Why not just have Mike Dringenberg write "For ebay" on some of the books and then there will be no question about which books belong where. *Will anyone outside the Signature room know what this means?
  16. Gah, I missed this by $1: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Signed-Kevin-Eastman-and-Peter-Laird-TMNT-Teenage-Mutant-Ninja-Turtles-1st-/190806626579?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&nma=true&si=dxBTNCcPwHV9hS53klqm%252Bc1y4PI%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
