Wanderers of Wonderland Print Signed and Numbered by Carl Barks. 1981.

I'm about 2/3rds of the way through the Thorn collection. I got the hardcover, which is a really nice production. I had low expectations for the strips themselves because Jeff has been so down on them for so long but they're really good. The art is way more advanced than I thought they would be considering his experience level as a cartoonist at that point, the jokes are funny, the humor a little edgy, the narrative is engaging. I dare say I might even like them better than the comic series and I like the comics a lot.

I've had a High Value sitting in Grading/QC for 3 days. They must be QCing so hard.

Pop 15 or GTFO.

I voted. Although Popular Teen-Agers 15, which isn't on this poll, is Cole's best romance cover and everyone who disagrees is wrong. Not just about that but life in general.

That works for consignments, but these were books I sold them. Books they were buying at $1 for VFs and instead became F- and bought for sixteen cents. I submitted some lots, which were also knocked quite hard but in an auction, people understand and bid accordingly. One door closes, and another opens.
Ah, gotcha. From a direct selling perspective I keep my expectations low and usually just send them small batches of books I got to read and don't feel like piecemealing out so I'm happy with whatever credit I can get back.

I recently sent in a bunch of moderns that I'd picked up for almost nothing, and they were buying. I reviewed the books with a magnifying glass and only sent books I was confident would be VF or better. Nearly all of them were called Fines or worse. Absurd. I'll give away my books before I send them any more raw books, and I've sold over $100K on their site as one of the earlier consigners. I was tempted to have them returned, but the round-trip shipping would have been more than they offered me.
I too have noticed that grading has somehow gotten even tighter than it was, which was already ultra conservative. At this point I mostly just shrug at their assigned grade and price consignments according to what I had them graded at.

I noticed a while ago that My Comic Shop seems to have a pretty extensive list. Not sure if complete. What are the impossible Croydons?
I'm probably the primary contributor to that. Vicious Circle is the first one that comes to mind as impossible. I've been looking for years.

Paging @Ryan.
I haven't put together a comprehensive list of all if his paperback covers, across all publishers. I'm not sure anyone has. I am aware of many of them based mostly on what is listed in Black Light and in the 1981 Overstreet. The only publisher I feel confident I have nailed down is Croydon. Some of those are fairly easy to find, with a couple damn near impossible.

All I see are a bunch of likeminded YouTubers using Ed's passing to promote their unwatchable channels.

Anyone know what’s going on with their Prime Auction? Auction listings say they open on the 6th but we’re several hours into the 7th and bidding still isn’t open. Is this normal for them?
Someone forgot to hit the start button.

My opinion that a 40 year-old man should refrain from talking about oral sex with a 17 year-old will never change.
To clarify, that exchange wasn't with the 17 year old but with a second woman, also named Molly.

it's not a direction historically usually chosen by young people
I have zero interest in a rhetorical debate on this but I'll just say that I have no idea what you mean by this as creative expression doesn't usually have a specific "historical direction".

So no one else thinks that a 17-year-old girl producing artwork on that nature is strange? Not normal?
I think trying to assess a person's psychology from such a minimalist, arm's-length approach is not very constructive.
