  1. This is long, but I think it covers all of the bases in a clear manner. Anyone is welcome to edit or offer improvements. Here is my shot at a template of time payments: Name and description of book: Total "out the door" price including all fees related to the sale: Name of seller: Name of buyer: Method of payments: Payment information (PayPal address or mailing address): Deposit required (Y/N): Amount of deposit: Due date of deposit: Under which circumstance is the deposit or any part of the regular payments refundable? Number and frequency of payments: Amount of each payment: Due date of each payment: Anticipated shipment date upon completion of payments: When is a payment considered late and what happens if the payments are not completed on time? What happens if the buyer is unable or unwilling to complete the transaction? What happens if the seller is unable or unwilling to complete the transaction? Return policy: Seller references: Buyer references: Date of agreement:
  2. I do wish buyers would be more disciplined about fulfilling time payment obligations, as I think "board credit" is a completely generous option on the part of the seller. If people continue to take advantage of time payment offers, then we will see less and less of them, and that is unfortunate for those of us who approach things honestly. The key is to get things in writing. When is the down payment due? When is the monthly payment due? Is the deposit non-refundable? When will the book ship? What happens if I default? Questions like this are crucial. Spell things out for one another. Yes, parts of the deal may seem uncomfortable to talk about, but it's no different than discussing your debts and credit with any other loan officer. Follow through with what you say you are going to do. ...and if you have outstanding time payments, I say it's good etiquette to avoid buying more books until you are squared away. If you need credit that badly, bite the bullet and get a card.
  3. Thanks for recognizing my Spawn set with the best in age award! Building the set over the last five years has been joyful, frustrating, challenging, and expensive. I've always approached the task from the mindset of an archivist, dutifully curating and documenting the series while preserving it for future generations. It's a real pleasure to finally take home the award while achieving one of my biggest goals as a collector. It was also a blessing. I won the award a day after having to put down my beloved cat. I've been in a dark, sad place and the award, as insignificant as it may seem to some, was just the point of light I needed and couldn't have come at a better time. Thanks to all the staff at CGC - especially Molly and Dena and everyone else who put up with me calling in about missing issues, incorrect labels, and points. A big thank you to the judges! Also, let me thank all of the collectors and facilitators who have helped me track down issues and/or signatures. The main folks who helped were Doc Joe, Rich Henn, Doug Scott, Dre, and Jerry at 3204 Auctions; however, there were many others who pitched in at some point. Please forgive me for leaving anyone out, but with such a massive set, it's hard for me to remember everyone. I really enjoy the registry and it is my hope that more collectors become involved over the years by sharing their collections with others. Good luck to everyone with their collecting and congratulations to all of the other winners this year!
  4. A wonderful customer with whom to work! Super friendly. Paid fast. Just a great guy to business with from what I can tell. Highly recommended.
  5. FOR SALE - one copy of Starslayer 2 in CGC 9.8 with white pages. Exceptional copy of the Rocketeer's first appearance. Disney Junior is revamping the character for a kids' cartoon series set to debut next year. Cool book even if you aren't into speculating. Mike Grell and Dave Stevens art! 90-day GPA is $153 with the last three sales at $129, $129, and $180. SOLD!
  6. It was a private sale, so out of respect for the buyer, I'd rather not say. Was well into the four-figure range though.
  7. I sold my 185 Sketch a few months ago. While I made a stellar profit, I'm suddenly not comfortable with my decision.
  8. As far as 189 goes? Undervalued. Also surprised that a copy of the 185 headless variant has languished with an asking price just over 1K. Not on the list of rarest moderns....but it's certainly one of the top three or four rarest Spawn books.
  9. I would like to point out some things about Spawn 185 BW. Number one, have you seen what's going down on eBay right now?????? Number two, I privately sold my copy recently. I will not disclose the amount, but it was...significant. I will not disclose the amount out of respect for the buyer. Get ready to update your list. The 9.6 signed copy on eBay is already over 10K with almost a week left of bidding. Spawn 185 BW absolutely...without a doubt...belongs on this list. I can tell you it already needs to be moved up to #2...and in a week it will hit #1.
  10. The Wings will go for WAY over 1600. At 1600, I wouldn't be able to hand you the cash fast enough.
  11. Forgot I still had this...I will leave this up until Sunday if anyone is interested. CURSE OF SPAWN 9 CGC 9.8 SS GREG CAPULLO - Angela Origin Story. NO LONGER FOR SALE HERE
  12. FOR SALE - one copy of Wolverine 77: Toy Edition. Fine plus. SOLD
  13. FOR SALE - one copy of Wolverine 10: Toy Edition. Fine minus. SOLD
  14. I'm starting a new batch with this post. I will be selling three different Wolverine "Toy Edition" comics before heading on to the 1988 run. I must confess, I do not know much about them. I can't seem to find any info or copies for sale. Maybe I didn't look hard enough? These books have been pressed. All books are flat and clean with great colors and gloss. An accumulation of color-breaking spine ticks is the problem with all three copies. Issue 77 has a minor bottom corner scrunch. I'm not the best at grading comics in this range, but I'm giving it my best shot based on the information in my Overstreet Grader's Guide. If you disagree, you are protected by my return policy (see terms of sale). The stickers are on the bags, not the comics themselves. FOR SALE - one copy of Wolverine 2: Toy Edition. VF minus. SOLD
  15. ALL SLABS HAVE BEEN PULLED FOR SALE ON THE BOARDS Raws will remain listed for sale here on the boards at the prices listed above in the recap, which has been updated. Thanks for all the purchases and interest!
