  1. I would say that you could read all about it in my journal BUT........
  2. I took a slab and put it in a bathtub to prove a point once.
  3. Freas is AMAZING. Wonderful book man!
  4. Man, I need to visit the probation threads more often. I'm obviously uniformed about what's happening these days.
  5. I agree. I was thinking about dropping off 400 books.... oh well.
  6. I've done a ton of research on this topic. The results can be found by following the link below. I wish I could convince the board mods to "sticky" my response, as this is a fairly common topic. STORAGE PS - you might want to scroll up and down. My info is divided into different sections.
  7. There is some logic here. I still don't see why they can't unlock the old forums. Let the new format coexist with the old.Give people a choice. Don't kill fantastic, long-running threads like Doc Joes. The old journals belong in the old journal forum, not comics general or anywhere else. If participation in the new format is as enthusiastic as the powers-that-be would have us imagine, then there would be no need to FORCE people into using the new format, no?
  8. The McFarlane headless 185 is one of the rarest and most desirable Spawn books. The second print is nearly impossible to find. I will leave these up for a few more days. No discounts.
  9. BTW, the Jumbo Comics 82...gotta be one of the best "tail-light" covers of all time? Almost looks 3-D.
  10. My only problem, really, is that they locked the old format in an attempt to force people to accept the new one. Things were working out fine before the old ones were locked. People poured their hearts out in the old journals. Locking them was pretty egregious. Unlock the old ones and be done with it already.
  11. Fantastic customer! Patient, friendly, dependable, and affable. I appreciated our interaction as fellow hobbyists and look forward to more business in the future!
  12. FOR SALE - SPAWN 185 COMPLETE SET (EXCEPT FOR THE SKETCH COVER) Spawn 185 - CGC 9.8 Spawn 185 second print - CGC 9.8 Spawn 185 McFarlane "Headless Variant" - CGC 9.8 Spawn 185 Capullo Variant - CGC 9.8 Spawn 185 Variant Cover - signed by cover artist Whilce Portacio - CGC 9.8 signature series ***You won't find this sort of (near) complete set for sale anywhere. As far as I know, I own the only set like this out there.*** Once again, please note that I am selling the set WITHOUT the ultra-rare sketch variant. Everything else is present and accounted for. They are in the older style CGC cases, which are all in great shape. MEGA KEY ISSUE IN THE RUN - Al Simmons dies in this issue, and a new Hellspawn (Jim Downing) begins. NO LONGER FOR SALE Better take it quickly, before I change my mind. Wouldn't sell, but I have another big purchase in mind that I need to fund. I will not split these up. This is my bottom number.
  13. I'm still blown away that none of our more well-heeled collectors or dealers have taken the 53. One of the nicest Planets extant.
  14. The label looks more like a provenance notation (from the collection of...) than a pedigree. CGC does not recognize a "Dallas Stephens" pedigree. This is a provenance book. Another example of a provenance book would be Nicolas Cage's old comics. In regards to "Mile High II", that is more of a marketing point created by Chuck than an actual pedigree, as it is not currently recognized by the CGC.
  15. Those were the two books that I was looking very hard at.... excellent buys my friend!
  16. I am...saving my allowance for something.
  17. Great seller. Friendly, fast to respond, and professional. I hope we do business again!
  18. It's "gold" ink....only used with 9.9s and 10s. Sadly, it looks more like faded black.
