  2. That scenario would be a nightmare for certain personality types. RIP DItko.
  3. All remaining slabs will be pulled this Sunday. Taking offers in the meantime. ...if you only knew how tough some of those books are. You'd be getting them much cheaper than I did. The next phase will include raws from the 1988 Wolverine series...almost all of them. So stay tuned.
  4. SPAWN 21 LOT OF NINE COPIES Note: These comics were handpicked from an unopened distributor's box. The condition of each falls in the VF/NM range, but I am not guaranteeing a grade on these, only that they are complete. THESE WILL SHIP LOOSE AND UNBAGGED! Overstreet notes "low distribution" for this issue. The whites on these look much better in person, probably because of the scanning contrast. SOLD! Actual scan of one of the books in the lot...they all look the same.
  5. SPAWN 16 LOT OF TEN COPIES Note: These comics were handpicked from an unopened distributor's box. The condition of each falls in the NM range, but I am not guaranteeing a grade on these, only that they are complete. THESE WILL SHIP LOOSE AND UNBAGGED! This is actually a big KEY Spawn issue because it marks Todd McFarlane's first temporary departure from the series (he was working with Frank Miller on the Batman/Spawn crossover). This is also Greg Capullo's debut on the run. The issue was written by Grant Morrision. SOLD! Actual scan of one of the books in the lot...they all look the same.
  6. SPAWN FAN EDITION 3 ALTERNATE COVER Estimated grade - NM+ $6
  7. SPAWN FAN EDITION ONE ALTERNATE COVER Estimated grade - NM minus $5
  8. SPAWN 104 Estimated grade - 8.0 VF Flaws - lots of pressable defects. NOTES: print run numbers were starting to plummet with the early triple digit issues. $3
  9. SPAWN 103 Estimated grade - 7.0 F/VF Flaws - lots of pressable defects. NOTES: print run numbers were starting to plummet with the early triple digit issues. $3
  10. SPAWN 135 Estimated grade - 9.0 VF/NM Flaws - a few non-color breaking tics and what appears to be a slight rub on the back cover made by roller pins on the printing press is the reason I am hammering the grade. Won't get to a 9.8, but a press would help this one. NOTES: very tough book in high grades. I still have yet to find a 9.8. Best I could find was CGC 9.6. $7
  11. SPAWN 162 Estimated grade - 9.2 NM - Flaws - 3 hairline color breaks along back cover spine, very small indentation on back cover, 1 non-color breaking tic on front cover, sharp corners, lies flat and very clean. Possible 9.4 or even higher with press? NOTES: Almost all of the Philip Tan covers are among the toughest books to track down in good condition. Print runs and sales were continuing to nosedive. One of my favorite covers of the run. Back when I was looking for a 9.8 copy, I thought I'd never find one, but got very lucky. SOLD!
  12. SPAWN 152 COPY C Estimated grade - 9.4 Flaws - One hairline color breaking tic along front spine with an additional non-color breaking tic. Book is flat with nice corners. NOTES: There are only two 9.8s (highest graded) on the census (I own one of them) with a total population of five. Very, very tough book. Took me years to track down. I promise that the ones on eBay aren't graded this tightly. Ships in Mylar and fullback from E. Gerber. SOLD!
  13. SPAWN 152 COPY B Estimated grade - 7.0 F/VF Flaws - Six hairline color breaking tics along spine. Minor surface wear with slight color rubbing. Generally clean black. Nice corners. NOTES: There are only two 9.8s (highest graded) on the census (I own one of them) with a total population of five. Very, very tough book. Took me years to track down. I promise that the ones on eBay aren't graded this tightly. Ships in Mylar and fullback from E. Gerber. $4
  14. SPAWN 152 COPY A Estimated grade - 7.0 F/VF Flaws - I may have hammered the grade too much (or not enough) for a small fingerprint (no color lift) on the front cover. You can only see it in certain light, but my experience tells me that the CGC doesn't like these. Slight color rub on this incredibly tough black cover. 2 hairline color breaking tics on the spine. A few non-color breaking tics. A few slight smudges of some sort along the back spine. Good, sharp corners. I'm grading this to the best of my ability. NOTES: There are only two 9.8s (highest graded) on the census (I own one of them) with a total population of five. Very, very tough book. Took me years to track down. I promise that the ones on eBay aren't graded this tightly. Ships in Mylar and fullback from E. Gerber. SOLD!
  15. Love me some Ramones but I've been digging on this lately. Hope you're not expecting Beethoven though. Lead singer is also a fantastic artist, does an awful lot of album art for people throughout a certain corner of the metal scene. EDIT: There is a different official video with attractive females in silly costumes, but it has some nudity so...
  16. Not sure, but one thing is for certain - they are getting paid better than me.
  17. I am just saying. there is room for both mindless music (see your radio dial) and Beethoven. Each serve a purpose and have a time and a place. Both can be enjoyable.
  18. Krull. Because it's awesome. This is quite possible. Sorry. I am not shocked. Sorry I hurt your feelings you bitter old man! :P
