  1. O...M...F...G Glad I didn't click on the link. Something told me it wouldn't be safe for work.
  2. No. They did YOU a favor by lending you the money. Of course. You can go to a loan shark. I think you'll find they deal with debtors quite differently than a bank would. Who is going to lend you money when you're already head over heels into debt? Perhaps you're talking about your parents? When you sign papers agreeing to the terms of a loan, you follow the terms. You do NOT get to decide when you pay back a loan. I can't tell my bank that I'll pay my mortgage one day, whenever I'm ready. It doesn't work that way. I'm wrong by saying you aren't presently paying back the money? What is there left to assume when you say, very clearly, that you told them to f-off? Plus, you sound completely entitled. * * * I have no comment about your "girlfriend" or video-game wife or whatever... in fact, I really do hope that things work out for you. But keep this in mind, and I'm done here... Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results. You accuse us of asking the same questions, over and over again. Fair enough. My final question is, "When are YOU going to stop making the same mistakes, over and over again?" I hope that you get the help you need. Best of luck.
  3. Plus, it's not your words here that are being analyzed. It's your actions, which tells us everything we need to know about doing business with you.
  4. No one is putting words in your mouth. You said you aren't paying the bank until YOU get ready to do so. No? You told them to f-off. No? It doesn't work that way, no matter how you try to spin it.
  5. The eBay guy says, "I'm not a grader." Then he says that the books "will be sold as-is." I'll take a hard pass on that one.
  6. I'll just say this, you will NEVER see a rat chew through a Mylar bag.
  7. I really don't understand all the comments about Mylar being prone to splitting. I have hundreds of (TRUE) Mylar bags and none of them have ever split. However, upon research, it seems like Mylar is susceptible to puncture: The major benefit of using Mylar in applications is its exceptional strength. In fact, the strength of a sheet of Mylar is often compared with steel sheets of the same thickness. Another pro in using Mylar is its resistance to high temperatures, so this means that is can be used in electrical components that tend to generate high amounts of heat. Also, Mylar is chemically stable, so there is less chance of a dangerous reaction when using other substances along with Mylar. The main detractor of Mylar is that being very smooth and glossy; it tends to collect dust and other microscopic particles. In applications where light is coming through the Mylar, this debris can be particularly noticeable. And while Mylar has a very high tensile strength, it is susceptible to puncture and becomes a concern when it is used as a wrapper for items with sharp corners. To counter this, manufacturers of Mylar food wrappers often add a layer of polyethylene to reduce the chance of puncture. - quora.com * * * The part below is from E. Gerber's website, but it is easily verifiable information: Resistance to diffusion of gases like oxygen, Carbon Dioxide, Sulfur Dioxide, etc. is 350 times greater than polyethylene. Permanence. There is no noticeable change in storage-100 years when compared to 2 to 5 years for others. Resistance to moisture, insect attack, fungus, mold, mildew, acid, oils, grease, and solvents is "excellent" compared to "fair" for others. Strength and creep resistance is 10 times that of polyethylene, one-third the strength of steel. Volatile Additions--Mylar® contains no dangerous plasticizers, slip additives, surface coatings, antioxidants, acid-hydrolysis compared to other commonly used plastics. Below is a link to a more scientific article: CLICK HERE * * * I will always stick with Mylar. TRUE Mylar. I encourage people to BE CAREFUL of claims by certain sellers that their goods are genuine Mylar. It should be a crime to engage in this sort of false-advertising, but apparently it's not. I am not a Gerber shill, just a regular customer. I benefit in no way, shape, or form by providing this information. Buy the bags you want, but personally I'm willing to go the extra mile.
  8. I "wasted" quite a bit of money in the early days. Had no idea how to grade and my expectations were way off. As a result, I ended up with a lot of turds. I chalk it up as a learning experience. Can't say I regret it though. Inspired me to improve my skills!
  9. HP 8250. Got mine used on eBay about 7 years ago for $50 bucks. I've probably taken several thousand scans with it. Still going strong. Much easier than taking pictures. And never hire the CGC to do your scans. They are small and so low-res that they are practically unusable. The HP 8250 will run with Windows 7 but you will need to download the driver from HPs website. I use paint.net software (free). Don't blame you for running from Windows 10. It's garbage. As mentioned before, all of this is covered in detail in another thread.
  10. "They did me this disfavor..." Really? They did you a disfavor by lending you money? How about the disfavor you are doing them by refusing to pay back their money? Unbelievable.
  11. You say you are inspired by Disney and Jobs. What on earth would they have thought after reading your story and attitude?
  12. Good person? Follow your word and your business contracts. Responsible? Pay your debts, move out of your mom's basement, pay your own rent and your own monthly bills. Stop blaming your failures on other people, or your medical conditions. I know plenty of people who face much greater struggles than you do, and they get up out of bed every morning and go to a job they hate so they can pay their own way. It's called LIFE. A responsible person wouldn't blame their debt on the bank. A responsible person would take the blame for overspending and their subsequent inability to pay it off. Hard working? That one's easy. Get a real job...and keep it. We've been telling you this for years and you never listen. If anything, you've grown worse by an order of magnitude. You don't understand that the "road to success" is built on HARD WORK. Seems like you want to take shortcuts, like dabbling here and there in cryptocurrency and comic book deals. I don't respect anyone who can't live up to a financial obligation. And you want to start a business? SMH What's going to happen when you go in for a business loan and they pull your score? Or they do a little bit of research and find out that you basically told a bank to off? You're destroying your life and you refuse to listen to anyone. as for the boards...let the schadenfreude continue...
  13. No one is putting words in your mouth. With declarative statements like the ones above, it's unnecessary. Go ahead. Show them how tough you are. In the meantime, compounding interest is building up with each day you wait. If you can't pay it off now, how will you do so in the future? Looks like your road is leading to bankruptcy instead of success. You have taken someone's money without paying them back. That's called theft where I'm from. Good luck starting and running a business with your present attitude.
  14. Really? I blame the guy who entered into a financial contract by signing papers which stated that he was responsible for paying money back with interest. I blame the guy who has no understanding of compounding interest or personal responsibility or simple pride. I blame the guy who feels he's entitled to make demands of his creditors, instead of understanding that it's his own fault that he cannot pay back his loans. I blame the guy who is choosing not to follow through. The money on his credit card WAS NOT HIS money. It was the banks. He is outright refusing to pay off his debt because he's unhappy they refused some sort of settlement. Of all the things in his journal, this action is perhaps his most offensive, in my eyes. The business world runs on credit and the responsible repayment of loans. He is willingly destroying his own credit rating, seemingly oblivious that he is concurrently ruining his own ability to obtain one of his goals - his own business.
  15. No job. No paycheck. How, precisely, do you pay taxes? I have lots to say, but everything would be either mean, pointless (because you know more than ANYONE else), or both.
  16. Looks like check or money is offered as a payment method in addition to the Zelle, so I don't see a problem. Just cut the guy a check.
  17. There is no board rule forbidding Zelle Quick Pay. There is no board rule requiring a payment method to require protection. The reason PayPal Personal is forbidden is because using it to pay for goods and services does not jive with the method's express and stated purpose. PayPal Goods and Services exists for business transactions. Since we are trading in business transactions, using Goods and Services is appropriate and honest. Quick Pay does not seem to differentiate between personal and business transactions. As a result, I don't see a problem with this method. If someone is unfamiliar or uncomfortable with the required payment methods, then it's their option not to buy. Personally, I don't see an issue at all with allowing this payment method. Buyers proceed at their own discretion. If the board feels like the rules should be amended, we should discuss it in the appropriate thread instead of this sales thread.
  18. Very nice Romance pickups!
