  1. you jesting? Yeah... I have been suspecting some bidders outbid me ... are from here! PM u about your question.
  2. Love the wall of RR slabs you got up there. Nice room!
  3. Me too! Love these Giants and I have a few Dell copies as well, I have Silly Symphoies #3 in high grade. Looking for a #1 and 2. Have you ever seen one Giant issue "Picture Stories from the Bible"? Talk about GIANT comic - that one beat all gaints out! I have this one in collcection.
  4. The seller got real lucky(!) - the yellow mailer didn`t fold or bend, so the comics had survived OK. I think the Dot comic may had gone one grade down due to a bend crease on one corner. I was hoping for a Fine condition but it`s gonna be a VG at best. Well, I did buy it for a "filler" copy in my collection while I look for a better copy. Well, the seller isn't a comic collector and I did told her to use cardboard boards. I'll call that one time - period, never again. Now, from JS comics - like I expect ... exactly as I want to see. a 80-page Giant #1 and Richie Rich #68. Both nice to add to my collection.
  5. Today I went to pick up my new comics at the parcel service place, as I have to ship out the parcels (ebay auctions) to buyers. I got 4 parcels for me. One parcel set my heart frozen ,,, I dread to open and see how this comic survived the trip to me. Take a look how I got it. Feels like NO cardboard inside! On the other flip ... I can always depend on JS comics for their great packing and this is how I got the 2 parcels. Now let`s see as I open them...
  6. Damn ... you know what? this cover by Adams sure make me feel small like a micro-germ upon seeing how ol' big G gulp in one whole planet in one go! Well, that is one fine artwork and great effect in that!
  7. Fun thread to read here! I remember had read many Whitman comics in my boyhood days. Grandma used to always buy 1-2 packs for me when Igo to visit her at her home. Now, I got a Whitman question along maybe bit off-related but here it is: What about comic digest editions? I see all are comic books posted here, but no digests. I have (4) 2-digest sealed packs - Walt Disney Comics & Stories #54 and 55 with yellow Whitman logo. I think they were from 1977? I have wondered about these digests - are they worth more than the GK digests? Any of you had seen the 2-digest sealed packs like mine around? Seems the digest packs are less in market than the regular comic book packs.
  8. Wow,that is in nice shape, real ghould shape! Great read as well.Such a tuff black cover! Nice cover - quite hard to find this color like that of its age looking good!

I'm about halfway in Little Dot and Richie Rich ... looking for early numbers. I'm nearly complete "Uncles and Aunts" giant series in high grades. I need #1-4, 6-12. (thumbs u
  10. 45 - been reading comics all my life, started collecting since couple years later. Still collecting today. My first year was in summer of 1974.
  11. My collection is somewhere about 2,000 - give or take. Mainly SA, some like about 50 GA and at least 800 BA and Moderns in boxes, Also have maybe 70+ graphic novel HCs (DC Archives, Tracy, Archie Archives, etc). Offset to collection I also have manga collection about 500+ volumes. And over 20+ small statues. Oh, and have 8 slabbed. Haven't finished my intervorty but I have about 100-140 SA/BA Little Dot titles, 100+ Richie Rich SA/BA, @150 SA/BA DC/Marvel comics. I like to focus on specfic titles to collect. When I'm done with my total - will know exact what I have there. Used to had almost 17,000 comics in long boxes in the '90s but sold them away to switch for high grade focused titles.
  12. ^ This is how I love to see the comics spread out - the old school style AND I love Magnus Robot Fighter comics. I used to read them as a kid.
  13. New comics this week for my collection ... picked them up today from local auction place. Sorry that I don't have a scanner yet - had to use my camera. Nice triple 9.6 file copies. Trio of Richie Rich file copies - #34, 42 and 45, think they would be range of 9.0-9.4 NM (will submit to CGC). My favourite RR cover is #34.
  14. love to see some pics Coming up tomorrow. I have to go pick up the comics at the auction office. I paid up (online) and got the invoice printed out.
  15. I was watching my live auction bookmarks today and looks like I have won 2 lots of Harvey high grades. Gonna check my emails for details then go there to pick up. There was a local live auction where they featured a huge comic book collection for bids. Thrilled to add them into mu collection!
  16. Got a question in regart on the E15 form. On this form - question #6 said " Currency used for delcared value" - does that mean I have to put in the value of my comic books in there? Thank you.
  17. Interesting issues you have in your Arabic Supes ... I do notice how the Arabic publishers cover all female superheroes with pin-ups of male characters. I guess it's in accord of their muslin views. Still, it is cool to see different looks of comics!
  18. Hi, First time to write here I've seen some nice issues you people had shared by posting yours here. Here is a couple of mine in my collection... My most recent newest add - happy to snag this one for cheap price! Nice VF8.0 with Carl Barks 16pgs story inside. My latest add to my mini staute collection - the first (of 6) Classic X-men characters. I think I now have about 20+ in collection so far. Couple of high grade Action Comics - one in 8.5 and one in 9.0. I'm waiting until I move in my new apt then I'll create my "man cave" room. Can't wait for this - fun to do!
  19. Great thread about the spinner racks! I used to remember seeing them in the grocery stores where I had went to as a kid. Alway loved to spin the rack and let my eyes wander over the comics until I stopped the rack to target the one comic i want to pick. Ahh these good memories... at the time the comics were at retial price for 20-25 cents. That's how far back I was reading comics and still am today. Now having seen the pictures - I want to hunt for a spinner rack to put in my room and throw in some reader comics in racks! Lucky I have my U.S. shipping address account so I wouldn't have any problem on shipping issues. I'm now in Alberta but will be moving back to B.C. in a few months.
