  1. I know of at least a few Xmas girlie pulp covers I don't own but staying in my collection as long as I can. Santa on the naughty list
  2. My only pb I've noticed with lamination (very bad, thin lamination) is a Signet?
  3. It's August 1936 from my collection, RM, apparently the only surfing cover in my boxes. Lemme see if I can't find a better copy out there (unfortunate mailing stamp placement), but I'm happy to get this one to you if I can't - after the Xmas hubbub
  4. Nope, I was looking at the second issue of La Boheme Quarterly, mostly out of historical interest (I've got the first ish). It has a Vargas cover, but not a good one. Has to be super scarce, I wasn't sure more existed, and I've hunted the first for a long time. The condition was extrasuspect (as were a couple of nice Peps, not many photos this time and low grades, kinda weird for that seller who tends to overgrade in the first place - he digs up great mags, tho). I skipped the hula dancer, but that issue is totally classic and on my wantlist even if it's gonna be tough to find a super copy. In fact, I wish I'd gone for it now Congrats on that one for sure. Those late Broadway Nights with photo covers are interesting. I'm thinking some of them were maybe in more of a magazine size? This is my favorite of my Broadway Nights, but there are a bunch I'd like to have, some of the issues seem extra scarce classy, I know
  5. Enoch Bolles, Earle Bergey (believe it or not), Jay Weaver, and Earl Christy. Not a bad foursome there, RM. Racking my brain to think of some true sports pulp surfing covers, I know I don't have any. In fact I'm not sure I have any surfing covers at all Another Bergey in that Cartoon Humor line
  6. I lost one I wanted on Sunday I'd never seen before. We'll see if I made the right decision not to pay more for a yuck-ish copy if I ever see the damned thing again
  7. Not an Xmas cover, but irresistible following the last and suitable for the freezing weather ><
  8. Not a girlie pulp exactly but somewhere adjacent - in the spirit of Xmas and working from the last one
  9. New one - cover's nothing special, but I got er cheap and in nice shape. Did find what I was after inside, a couple of Dodd splashes and one more splash for good measure, Harvey William Johnson
  10. None in census? Wifey inside decorating the Xmas tree while time is up her lowlife husband.
  11. I thought there was a shotgun wedding going on until I noticed the bolt and the sheriff star
  12. I'm just embarrassed I didn't recognize and predict as the top book! Nothing else was even close. Top 9 books were all Weird Tales. I never have managed to catch the R.E.H. bug...
  13. Not a girlie pulp but - Xmas. Full issue will be showing up at the ongoing Digital Comics Museum's Ballyhoo spotlight leading towards Xmas. The Xmas spirit's gonna grab me one of these days. Or not.
  14. I can't leave that poor faded girl there without linking to the scan Burley cover, Burley inside too https://archive.org/details/pep-stories-v-03n-01-1933-01.-merwil-darwination-mc-coy https://www.mediafire.com/file_premium/jupbhowzx9de4e5/Pep_Stories_v03n01_(1933-01.Merwil)(Darwination-McCoy).cbr/file
  15. Unfortunate fade when we need the red and greens, R.A. Burley. When you can't afford a big tree but it doesn't really matter cuz you got a cutie to bring you cheer.
  16. Handsome couple, they're rocking it. Striped pink and green sparkles and still the cutest couple on the beach
  17. It takes a very confident man to wear those swim trunks.
