  1. Don't actually own that one, only know it from the scan from the JVJ project, would love to get my hands on a nice, big raw scan of the page, though: https://digitalcomicmuseum.com/index.php?dlid=26790
  2. I friggin love this story, WP, thanks for posting. S. Clay Wilson is one of my favorite underground artists even if I don't normally migrate towards the macabre. I scanned the issue which must have been the later part of the printing, definitely very red. I hope S. Clay was happy >< I stuck the scan up at the Internet Archive just now and put some images up on my Flickr thread, definitely a super-cool issue. https://www.mediafire.com/file_premium/ij9iv9atnp0lhgx/Thrilling_Murder_Comics_01_%281971.San_Francisco_Comic_Book_Company%29_%28Charlie-DREGS%29.cbr/file https://archive.org/details/thrilling-murder-comics-01-1971.-san-francisco-comic-book-company-darwin-ia
  3. All the sleazy elements plus the nice colors plus the Avon mystique - I can see why it's in demand. I particularly like the Kinstler inner front cover Had this one out, Canadian edition of Fox's My Life 7, one of four Canadian issues. Only one copy (8.5 of this issue) of any of the four in the census. All pages are the same as the Fox issue except the ifc which lacks color and the final page and back cover ads.
  4. Neat thread, thank you! I'm sure you'll continue to find ancillary materials. As a magazine and newspaper collector, it's neat to see the variety of materials you've gathered here.
  5. Woo! Gorgeous pulps, these two are my faves.
  6. Kind of hard to carry a broad and shoot a gun at the same time The look on her face
  7. Of course I'm going to the oddball first March 39 (sorry bad image), probably Albert Fisher February 39, Quintana February 1939 February 39
  8. This is so neat in color. Are there more pics of the same store? Happen to know what type of store this was?
  9. It's not New Year's yet, but it is! I thought I may have more than I turned up, but you don't want to just throw in any picture of a girl with champagne at what looks like a New Year's party cuz that's a lot of girlie pulp covers in the roaring 20s I know there's a good number of these out there I don't have, but here's the ones I found going through my covers (the one above is my favorite, I like Moskovitz's girls next door types as much as his more elegant dames). Not a girlie pulp, but I'll kick off with this one cuz of the approximate date, 101 years too late, Levon Wright on a super early True Confessions (in my immediate scan pile) And I missed this one at X-Mas, but I'm pretty sure this painting is of New Year's anyways Missed this one at Xmas, too so what the hey (actually have this one up at eBay) https://archive.org/details/college-humor-and-sense-119-1933-12-darwination-mc-coy-ia We'll go chronological, just like old man time If that Ward bird isn't too much for you, somehow I've got the UK edition as well the wild, woolly world of UK reprints. I've seen far worse imitations perpetrated by the UK cover artists what the, just no
