After the high price realized on the 3-sided trim with hole in cover in the HA auction, I thought I'd take a chance on this affordable and decent looking copy. Might be trimmed on one side but has WHITE pages:

One from SA's recent sale, I'm pegging this as Chriacka but could easily be wrong (maybe a stylized D for Darcy worked into the left edge of the cover?):
Wild Fruit - Joan Sherman (Peggy Gaddis) (1960.Beacon B367) cover suspected Chiriacka

and another discovered in this book of postcards put together by Miriam Linna that I've had forever:

My daughter is working at a Christian summer camp this Summer and isn't allowed her phone and has requested written correspondence.  My wife doesn't think she'd appreciate these postcards, but I may send them if only for my own amusement
I pondered tracking down a high grade copy of this but instead opted for this beater copy.  It seems perfectly appropriate -

The Young Punks edited by Leo Marguiles (1957.Pyramid G271) cover Rudy de Reyna.
Not the most menacing gang I've ever seen
The only other pb cover I found from de Rayna is the Pyramid G352 edition of Harlan Ellison's Rumble.  Otherwise, I found a good number of art manuals he's written.
Great line-up of authors inside including Richard Prather, Hal Ellson, Gil Brewer, Evan Hunter, Johnathan Craig, Frank Kane, Robert Turner, etc.

    Surely Bolles
Enoch is such an uncommon name, and the lettering in the signature, though funky, is familiar.  It's not uncommon at all for early signatures of an artist to show variance or play with a near alias, and it makes sense that the magazine would just go with what they clearly see at the signature on the printed credit for an artist new to the publication.
Here's one from almost ten yeats later on with the strangely dark eyes I encountered recently, I hear there's more of them:

The dude looking directly into the skull with the moon in the background? And he's not terrified but defiant. So good.  I'm not normally crazy into the skulls, either, but do like the Horatio with skull sort of dialogue going on here.

Totally missed Sunday's pulps (and apparently so did everybody else based on some of the low, low prices).  I think this is a most excellent cover, as it still managed to grab $312 at 2.0 with slightly brittle pages:

Thought I'd seen a comp in the last couple years, but apparently not at Heritage, and I don't have a good image in my files, so maybe I'm slippin'.  Fridge magnets and posters do turn up at eBay, though, so somebody else recognizes a good cover

She was a real counter-balance to "the boys" of the UG comix, and I mean that in a good way.
A hell of a historian, too.  I was just looking at The Brinkley Girls today, a gorgeous book, and she helped shine some light on other strip and comics artists from the 20s through the golden age like Lily Renee as well as other types of history in her own comics.
Absolutely one of a kind. R.I.P., Trina.

I'm 99.9% sure the painter here isn't Kirkpatrick, but I'm no closer to a name than when I started digging.
The same painter did show up recently over on non-comics mags for an Ace confessions mag called Secrets here. I'm not sure the issue below is the same painter but you can see it's another source of these paintings besides the love pulps mentioned previously (some of the covers at the link 100 percent are the same painter, though)
