I just keep hoping that in Axe- fashion he’s gonna make some randomly unexpected return and carry on like nothing happened.

He may not have the depth of knowledge on the subject as say others do, but he is a gifted writer and has really  shown himself to be a quick-study.  And perhaps most importantly, he was an integral part of starting what has been an AMAZING thread, and a timeless gift to current and future Warren fans alike.  Definitely owed (along with the other contributors) a huge debt of gratitude.

Like you all, praying for the best here.
Hope to see you back in the saddle, Axe👍🏻

Well written, and very nice of you to say, Matt. :wishluck:

Hi. I find a lot of these. I’ve had a lot of great luck hunting in the wild!!!! This was a referral from someone that reached out and stated they don’t have comics but wonder if they refer someone if there is a referral fee I would pay. So I said yes I do that. He refers me to his uncle and sets up the date and time for me. Turns out this is in Moses Lake Washington. My best friends family lives there. So we got on a plane and flew out together to see his parents and check out some comics.

The next morning we show up to a house with a shed in the back. We ended up going thru about 130 or so boxes in all. Lots of silver, bronze and copper. As we are looking he tells me “Just so you know, all my good stuff is in the house, not the shed.”

I ended up buying most of his “good stuff” and every key and great books he had from the shed. I’ll be posting a sales thread soon,  these are not for sale. They are my keepers but lots of great books will be for sale from this collection. But what  find. One of the top 5 collections I have picked up in the wild!!! Enjoy!!! 😍

I have Heritage Auction hold my wins until I have enough for the shipping to Canada to be worthwhile. So I wait years to get these books finally in their new home. Got 7 lots in today, lots of Golden Age books, and made a video to savor the event.

The highlights are in the thumbnail (first Captain Marvel Jr and first Mary Marvel).

Very nice! I love the old Captain Marvel books. Thanks for sharing yours.

Weird, Vol. 1, No. 11 (essentially issue 2), NM+ 9.6. Just a stunning example of this book which you never see in this condition. The census only has a single 9.6 and the next highest graded is a single 9.0. The cover is glossy with great colors. $400
