I'm not sure if you know about this site, but I have used it quite often to reference and put together a checklist for my Vampi collection. It's pretty quite detailed and kudos for the person who put this site together.
I did not. Thank you for the link.

I have to ask: is that a pic of you in that Eerie shirt in your avatar?
I remember the adds for those and always wanted one!
It is! I was twelve or thirteen years old. My mother got it for me. I probably begged her for it, but can't remember for sure. I still love showing that sweatshirt off. Hah!
Oh, I think the date on the picture says 1978. A little hard to read, though.

Reprints of stories. And I may be wrong but I seem to remember in the ad copy that the hard copies were supposedly signed by Gonzolas.
Oh, that's cool. Thanks for the answer.

Just got back from a small local show today and was shocked that one of the vendors had this book which I had been looking for quite some time. I think this is the rarest and most hard to find Warren Vampirella book since I rarely ever see this get posted for sale anywhere else. Even though it's a mid grade copy and quite pricey, I had to pull the trigger on it since I don't know when I would ever get the chance to find another copy. I'm finally glad to add this Vampirella Special Hardcover Edition to my Vampi collection.
If anyone else have a copy, please post yours as I like to see them as well.
Is the book a collection of just the magazine covers or is there non-published art, too?

Nice one!! My copy didn’t do well after my younger brothers got to it. At least it survived, just not good enough to grade. The CGC SS slab is a suitable replacement.
I'd say so. lol!
I don't know, now. I'm seeing some spots in the scan that I never noticed before. I'll have to dig it out to see if they're on the book or just from the bag. I've probably got it triple bagged.

Then I found this one...I couldn't pass it up. My apologies, but I tend to ramble when I'm excited about something. I almost fell out of my office chair when I found Twisted Tales #1, signed by Richard Corben!!!
That's awesome, Galen! I've got a copy that I've been hanging on to for what seems like forever. I've always wanted to get it graded because I believe that it too would fetch a 9.8. Can't even imagine having a Corben signature on it. That would be the shiot.

No worries. I would describe the book you posted (a nice cover I hadn't seen before, by the way) as a pulp paperback or pulp fiction but not as a pulp without a qualifier.
Thanks for the compliment. I appreciate it. Figured I'd post the "Cave Girl" scan, here, so that anyone reading this will know what we're talking about.

Generally 'pulp' with no qualifiers generally refers to a pulp magazine. Paperbacks from the 40's to the 60's that reprint material from the pulp magazines, or contain new material similar to the pulp magazines, are considered pulp fiction or pulp paperbacks. Or at least that's what I've got as a starting point, with about a billion exceptions. It's one of those "you know it when you see it" situations in a lot of ways, for better or for worse. I think one of the signatures of pulp is it's produced cheaply from a manufacturing standpoint.
Anybody else want to take a crack at an explanation?
Thanks, Eric, for taking a crack at answering my question. I googled for information before asking, and really couldn't find a definitive answer. The reason for my asking is because after I posted a scan of my "Cave Girl" book in another (wrong) thread, I got to thinking that it might be considered a paperback book, and not a pulp. That made me want to find out for sure what the differences are. I was thinking that maybe the date published or even cost might be the difference. Again, thanks for taking the time to help.

What differentiates a pulp book/novel from a paperback? Just curious.

I’m a huge fan of SSOC, especially the 1st 50 issues. They have amazing covers and Thomas and Buscema are at their very best.
SSOC?

Did you guys see the new Eerie Pub book coming out?
Ordered! Many thanks for the alert, Wombat.
Lets just hope that they don't ship the books in a plastc bag like a lot of businesses do these days.

I wasn't aware of any of the reference works and links. Thanks to everyone that posted them.

I knew that. I, too, was just messing around. Nice to have a place to do it.
