  1. X-Men #132 - VF+/VFNM OWW Signed by John Byrne on the first page. CLAIMED by bighairjer
  2. OK, but boomber-bob at least is right in saying that tactic is annoying, and not fair to the public. I replied to Racer-X here: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=9689222#Post9689222
  3. I just wonder where he found the time to conceive and write down all of these rules… Aside from this, the only things I don’t like is people being so touchy that you can’t even make a critique or an observation. I recall that once Racer-X had a small quarrel with etanick about his purchases and sales: true, etanick was a bit rough but he basically told him to do his "homework" to avoid being scammed. I told him that was Nick's temper, but in the end he put him on "ignore", which (as a general rule) i consider an immature thing to do.
  4. I just bought a few other Bronze Marvel books from Kaspar. It‘s always a pleasure to buy from him: books are tightly graded, often looking better than stated grade, and he always tries to keep your postage costs down. Thanks once again pal!
  5. Love the appearance of the early Bugs Bunny!
  6. I've never picked up any of these. Always something on the collecting event horizon!! The earliest stories are delightful… Some of my Barks favorites! Of course I have read them in reprints.
  7. I now have this in my hands… Estensive rust migration and then bad amateurish restoration, but who cares? I paid it about a 10% of the price of what a decent copy would have costed (and that was above my "comfort zone"!). Will make a scan later on…
  8. @Captain Canuck: There is a specific thread "I wanna get married" for Silver age… I just don’t know where it is… Good luck".
  9. I totally love the Firestone Giveaways stories… The fact they are often coinciding with Christmas just make them extra special!
  10. Any chance you can explain them to me? When I arrived here, I doubt I would have translated "tuff ped".
  11. I’m pretty good at slang and contractions now, if I understand in full Bill's posts!
  12. Love it! Such a beauty Jim… Now I need to repost mine… (It has a reglossed cover but I don’t care!)
  13. If they want, they can make it happen. David Gerstein is an enthousiast and it seems Disney is responsive: they are presenting many classic stories which never saw the light of day in USA (along with recent material of varying interest), so maybe we just have to support IDW a bit… Great collection! Indeed! – 40Yrs, do you have the first Gremlins (with Gremlins on cover)? I’d love to pick that issue sooner or later. I think I have two copies of the Gremlin issue. Wasn't it originally a Roald Dahl story? I believe that is correct and I think Dahl was working with Disney around this time. Of course other than Gremlins you'd have to wait until the nineties and James and the Giant Peach to see another Disney adaptation. That's a good movie if you haven't seen it. Indeed. I would love the illustrated book as well…
  14. That issue is… Love the Gremlins, as little as they have used them. Would be great to have them re-used in new stories, even if they were closely tied to WW2 facts.
  15. Are they new buyers or old buyers? If they're new buyers they may be wanting to make sure they are protected by Paypal. That’s the reason for which I usually ask it. Recently I have made a purchase of a somewhat expensive item in Germany and I asked to be invoiced via PayPal. I do agree but I believe Roy was speaking specifically about the invoice request, which is not tense per se.

  17. Forgive my ignorance, but if the Tip Top is the first Tarzan comic book, why does that "Single Series 20" is considered more valuable?
  18. I believe there are two aspects: a ban was probably harsh for what he actually did as posting goes, but regardless it is not good to buy or sell and leave hanging the other part. As far as "purposeful disregard towards established rules" as Revat said, I don’t think it was entirely the case. He might have been annoying with his constant suggestions but in the end I have never seen him openly offensive or so disregardful.
  19. From damsel in danger to damsel in distress…
  20. From city in flames to WW2 battlefield in flames…
