  1. Wonder Woman : The Golden Age by Les Daniels and Chip Kidd Hardcover w/dust jacket - Chronicle Books, 2001 Peace, Chip
  2. Thanks guys. I see they sell for $400-500+ and probably more framed, but this is one thing I'm keeping. I've already cleared space for it and will be hanging it tomorrow next to Tony the Tiger. . I think it's awesome. Mondo stuff is so tough to get for a reasonable price. I have an Artist Proof of the Whalen signed Super Powers print and I think that's great, but I had to acquire it right from the artist to snag it. My buddy texted me a little while ago and said he found more stuff, so I'm meeting him again tomorrow at 2pm. It'll never end...he has too much and he doesn't want to move it around anymore. Peace, Chip
  3. The stuff he's had to sell has been eye-opening. He's collected for 40+ years and had a job where he could buy whatever he wanted. He used to work for Disney. He's relocating for a job at a startup in a similar line of work but the backer has a lot of cash to do things right. Peace, Chip
  4. I sorted some stuff today and was able to snap a few photos... Peace, Chip
  5. Probably not the comics. It's a massive undertaking to organize it all since it's only me and I have limited space to spread stuff out. As far as the comic stuff goes, it's mostly Copper/Modern Age and there's nothing that impressive at all in there. I found a MSH Winter Special, a NM set of Legends, a copy of Taboo #2, Hulk #449, Platt Moon Knights, Ex Machina/Alias/100 Bullets (and other desired titles I know nothing about but recognized the names), X-Men Annual #14, Spawn #1 & #9, blah blah blah. The problem is I knew he was selling off his collection over a year ago because he was out of work so I would tip him off on hot books that were selling well. So now I'm left with the dregs around those hot issues. There's Batman Adventures without the #12, Thor without the #344, Hulk without the #271, etc. There are a few nice non-comic pieces that I will probably offer here first. Some Wrightson stuff (a statue and a signed print), a couple of eclectic statues (King Kong, Jack Sparrow), the older Overstreets, some weird portfolios (Jeff Jones, Tim Vigil) and stuff like that. Once I get it organized and photographed, that is. I was backlogged with 400 of my own auctions when he called me, so I'm behind to begin with. I'd kill for some office space and an assistant! Peace, Chip
  6. Just acquired a fellow local collector's stuff as he is relocating to California for a new job. About 12 long boxes, 40 short boxes, prints, posters, a few statues, some toys, older price guides paperbacks, magazines...just tons of stuff. It'll take me quite a while to organize it all, but there are some neat things here. I'll take pics as I go through it all. Peace, Chip
  7. My vote goes to the one from Boob Detective. Peace, Chip
  8. Not "heating up" but a book I had no idea was a $15+ regular performer on eBay...Marvel Two-In-One Annual #7. Weird! Peace, Chip
  9. I've never seen those, so I couldn't say. I was comparing it to other episodes of this season where, ya know...stuff actually HAPPENS. Peace, Chip
  10. Pretty dull episode, IMHO. They sure like to drag stuff out. Peace, Chip
  11. Let me know if you ever want a boatload. When we went to the big antique mall in Florence there was one booth with well over 1,000 of them. I didn't inquire about them (zero profit to be had, for sure) but I flipped through several. It's really neat to see the time period reflected in them. Peace, Chip
  12. Subtle. Not that kind of intent at all. Just stating a fact regarding the value & popularity of these kinds of books. It's a consignment item. I could sell it for $50 and still not make much at all. Peace, Chip
  13. Not on eBay. I've sold them for $3-7 each (both Marvel and DC). I can't get an offer for more than $23 on the Conans above and they're in really nice shape. Peace, Chip
  14. I don't even think I should download it. I already waste too much time with Clash of Clans and Star Wars Commander... What is it? Just solving word/picture puzzles? Peace, Chip
  15. I used to have about 35 of them...the only one I kept was the FF hardcover one, for sentimental reasons. On the Marvel/DC books, are you talking about ones that are this size/shape? Peace, Chip
  16. I've gotta go see if Mister 33-cent has one or any of my local shops do. Gotta hit the flea market, which I should have done today but totally forgot until just now. DAMMIT. Peace, Chip
  17. I'll take some if he's got a lot. Hell, if you don't want them I'll take the rest after comicwiz gets some. . Peace, Chip
  18. Wow, where did you get THAT? That's an awesome display! Stop, you're making me want to collect this stuff again and I can't. Peace, Chip
  19. Are all those figures & die-cast Meccano releases? If so, it's a lot more impressive than most realize. Awesome display! Peace, Chip
