  1. The Chew set also has the different Image Firsts separated into their own Registry slots.

    hm

Maybe we should request no points value for the tbp's and Image Firsts from the Peter Panzerfaust set. :baiting:

    Oh, thanks for that!!

    haha

Carp! Noooooooo... I guess it wasn't clear that I was only joking!! :ohnoez:

I have two of the three tpb's and 1 is 9.9 & your one 10... Me and my big mouth; I don't mind the PP set including the tpb's... :(

  2. Naaa bought them a while ago so no point doing anything about it now

That sucks though :( Eh... they still look pretty decent on my wall though :P

Kris, it won't be for a couple of months until Adlard is next at an event or signing I am going to but if you want a TWD sketch I'll swing one for you.

Bummer that stinks.........Garf I have some 109 blanks if your getting one for Kris or if you need a few. PM me if you want (thumbs u That was nice of you to offer to help.

Thanks so much both of you :D I'll send you a PM now Garf ;)

Sucks that those "RK" sketches were fakes, man... :sorry:

At least you might get an Adlard sketch out of it, so that's some consolation. I wonder if you got them from the same jerk on eBay; I remember he was also using fake Meltdown Comics CoA's to appear more official. SMH.

  3. really enjoyed #20

being as i lived in Parkchester for a bit, im allowed to call it Chunts (no h) Point! lol

    lol

Yeah I grew up in the BX, in Hunts Point. Parkchester is cool, nice area like Pelham Bay.

Man, those sure look suspect... They are very similar to the ones I found out were fake. Did those come with CoA's and if so, who were they issued by?

  5. Hmmm if CGC does in fact nick books for this defect, I imagine that's going to make the variants that much more valuable. Might be time to pick up a few...

I'm sure you could find a way to make them look valuable, even if they turn out not to be. hm

Seriously, do you have any idea what a fool you make yourself appear? You constantly talk about stepping back from selling (and in fact stepping back from the boards generally) and then follow it up with this sort of guff.

  6. I started pre-ordering my monthly titles online. Unfortunately, I JUST got #19 last week since I only have books delivered once a month ( :gossip: I'm cheap). #19 was great and I still love the characters and story. I guess I didn't have too much to discuss about #19. I can't wait to read #20 though! (thumbs u

Justin! You devilish esquire, you! :hi:

Yeah, I'm sure you'll like 20; there's a good amount of dialogue in it, so I enjoyed that it took more than 5 minutes to read it. This title is still tops on my list, man.

  7. This book doesn't seem all that rare (in my area). I saw a solid stack of 10 or so at one LCS (haven't visited the other 7 shops in town).

    Fixed it

Why don't we wait until the published numbers are out for this book before you make a case for being legitimately rare.

I haven't had trouble finding this issue in any lcs but I would say 80% of the copies I did find still on the shelf had significant surface creasing and indents on the covers.

Yep, if you hold these in the right light, it is easy to find defects. My question is this. Are these going to be considered printing defects or just plain old damage ?

I was wondering the same, but with some boardies stating they've got pristine copies, then it would appear that it's not a production defect(s) that affected the entire run, so I'm thinking CGC will grade them normally and not consider any kind of defect. If that's the case, then the copies I have are 9.6's, which would probably press out to 9.8's.

    :sorry:

  8. Dang, I'm reviving this thread (pun intended); no action in here in a while and not even today that a new issue dropped! Love's dying for Revival, huh?

I got a chance to read issue 20 during my lunch break and thought it was really good. This title continues strong with excellent writing and awesome art! Without giving anything away, the first page had me like... :o

Also, I thought it was pretty cool that my old 'hood and stomping grounds got a shout-out in the storyline; albeit for a crime of course, but still... Hunts Point, in the Bronx, NY! Whoot whoot!! I think it's cool that Dana's coming to the Big Apple and that crazy old man Anders Hein is already here... I can't wait for the next issue!

  9. Just got back three of my later printings back from CGC, and they all have to go back. CGC forgot to put the printings on the label :tonofbricks:, and they are all 9.8. Oh well (shrug)

Drop them off at a CGC booth the next time you get to a show they set up at. Error labels are not reholders, so they will accept them at shows and this way you don't have to pay to ship the books back to Sarasota. I do this with all the error slabs I've gotten and it works perfectly. You'll have the books back like 2-3 weeks after the show.

Good to know, I've some mislabeled books I needed to send back. Guess I'll do that next month in person at Special Edition NYC. Thanks (thumbs u
