  1. Ken, I posted on that FB thread, but I'm hoping that whomever wins the tpb's is someone who hasn't discovered the wonderful world of TODD the Ugliest Kid on Earth.

I'm hoping not to win... :wishluck:

On a side note, I think Image Comics and all us TODD-ites need to promote this awesome book more, because most of the responses are "never heard of it."

  2. Someone's really faking RK art??? Wow. What a country.

I find it hard to believe, too. But apparently people are faking zombie sketches by me. This is a fake. http://t.co/MnmYqwtL6b buyer beware!

Yup Its a fake....RK does not sketch that nice :insane:

Looks very similar to some that were posted on eBay some time ago. At the time I reached out to the comic shop whose CoA that eBay seller was using to claim authenticity and that shop owner forwarded the info to Shawn Kirkham at Skybound. Last I heard, that eBayer received cease and desist notification from Skybound's lawyers.

The art looks very familiar and I could almost bet the house it's the same jerk who has continued forging them...

  3. I picked up like 10 First print #1's yesterday at a local shop for a buck a pop :) at least 8 of them are 9.8s :)

Did the shop exist in a 4 month time bubble?

THIS!!! Man, I wish I had a shop like that in my vicinity! 10 first prints for $1 each and 8 of 'em are 9.8 candidates = ^^

If you want to make a quick profit, I'll pay you double your investment, right now, immediate PayPal payment! lol

  4. I finally got a chance to read this one today. Pretty interesting and entertaining. I’m definitely looking forward to issue 2.

Favorite line: “We don’t have a TV at our house, ‘cause my granny says the devil lives in it.”

I wonder if that kid's grandma is "The Waterboy" Bobby Boucher’s mom. lol

Midtown Comics still has a stack of 'em. I looked over maybe 50-60 copies and found three or four possible NM+ or better. Every book in the stack had a defect on the front cover on Earl's leg that looks like a press-able crease; some of the other copies had multiple dents and creases.

  5. I love the show, but I can't say I enjoy it more than the comic book. There's stuff on the show not on the book that I love, the Dixon brothers are a quick example, but I hated some characters on the show whom I love in the comic book. Andrea in particular; in the comic book she's a bad- I love and in the show at some point I kinda was just anxious for her to die... lol

  6. You guys think the Letter 44 #1 Preview Edition will be the "grail" even though its not officially part of the line? I believe CGC even categorizes it as a separate book.

:baiting: Your name change was short lived.

Which one is the preview edition; the b&w one? Where/when was it released? Was it at SDCC last year?

  7. I'm on my third time reading TWD from issue 1-current and although I don’t know the exact amount, they do use the word "zombie" a few times, particularly in the first few arcs up to when they reach the prison... I posted a pic in the Southern Bastards thread, but I don’t know if that is all the times the word was mentioned or just a few examples.

  8. Print run is in the 35k - 40k range.

Surprised it's this high, considering how many dealers didn't order any.

Could be like East of West. midtown owned the run. lol

Enjoyed the first issue so much had Ribs for dinner lol i am so serious. :applause:

    :roflmao:

    Don't read Chew :o

    lol

  9. I've never seen zombies in the walking dead. I've seen walking dead, corpses re-animated, the living dead rise, but I've never seen a zombie.

    hm ......

I whiteout them and write walkers over that rubbish.

Cool... send them in for CGC grading as the ultra-rare "Conan_Aficionado" variants. (thumbs u

  10. If it was mailed via USPS Priority, it's automatically insured for $50. See if you can claim insurance coverage from the post office and use that money to get it reslabbed; unless it looks like there was damage to the shell inside and thus the book itself.

How poorly was it packaged? The seller should pay for a reholder or full refund if the book was also damaged.

On a side note, I think that's the same book I was watching on eBay; very cool!
