It looks more Kamen-esque than Baker-esque to me, but we may never know. For one thing, artists could have tag teamed on any given cover (especially anything coming out of the production-line-like Iger shop), and for another thing, a ham-handed inker can obscure the deft touch of a talented artist.
I agree nothing about zoot 14 cover feels remotely baker. On the other hand baker definitely did work for fox during this period. I could see Kamen pencils / influence possibly with bad inker as you suggested.

Kinda looks like Baker faces, dunno you might be right. @Dr. Love and @adamstrange what do you experts think please? Could Fight 35 be the first Baker professional work vs Jumbo 69 (as stated in Art of Glamour) by a week?
Looking at the artwork in Fight 34 the Tiger Girl in that issue does not look like Baker at all, and looking at 36 (which is credited as Baker by Art of Glamour) looks like this.
I agree I don’t see any baker in 34 with one potential exception. The only possible for me is single women in splash of shark Brodie which looks Blum but had nuances w Bakeresque figure as if Baker was standing at his desk doing drive by in bull pen. I can imagine him making suggestion or even showing off skill as first time introducing himself w editor and other artists standing around. Nothing official as payroll but causal “hey baker let see what you got “ Then I imagine his first day in office he is partnered w Blum on stories that go into fight 35 and jumbo 69 As it happens publishing scheduling are such that fight hit’s newsstand week prior. Splitting hairs but fun to consider.

Nice book... but what story in Fight 35 is Baker? Art of Glamour calls out Jumbo 69 as his first published work. The first Fight comics they credit Baker on is issue 36 too.
I appreciate all hard work they did but as with any scholarship they are never the last word. So to answer the question here are few baker panels. Keep in mind Iger studio has mult artists per story and likely Baker is only pencils with someone inking. In other words he assisted on Tiger girl, Hooks, and Shark B but I am not saying every tiger girl is Baker in this issue. Later he is more prominent.

Admiring my recent mail call fight 35 and realizing per fiction house ad w newsstand dates vs indica that this issue hit stand sept 25th vs jumbo 69 at oct 1 making fight 35 first published baker. Both books have underwhelming contributions because Baker only does women. At first glance I was hoodwinked at jumbo w November indica vs fight indica as December however upon closer examination because fight was bimonthly I went back and studied and caught the nuance.

Hey everyone!
Got this nice low grade copy of one of my favorite issues in the Fight run at Little Giant a couple weeks ago.
I got it from Jim Payette and noticed it had this Certificate of Provenance on the back of it. From an original owner like collection from Dr. Henry Binford Steele.
Was just wondering if anyone else has any other knowledge on this collection or even have their own copies from it. Thanks!
Fight Comics #10
I have some Steele collection books. Jumbo 9 and 13. Some doctor who collected since childhood and held books for years. The estate asked to have certs made as kind of memorial to him. Definitely not high grade material

Well, let's not forget about mid-90's back around 1994 and '95 after the implosion of the new book coic market and after the explosive run that SA took in the early 90's.
I still remember some dealers offering big multiples to top of guide for pedigree books sight unseen and Overstreet himself jacking up up GA valuations in his Top 100 chart by an average of something like the high 20% to mid 30% which is definitely very un-Overstreet like when it comes to old slow Bob.
I remember the beginning of this phenomenon @ 1991. The DFW fantasy fair following release of Keaton Batman (89) I brought bat gold thinking I might have good flip material but ended buying more because it was still dirt cheap. Following year Gold bat prices jumped 3x and I traded for more rare gold w classic covers like Pre hero Adventures/More Fun and early marvel mystery etc. Then next year after that top tier title gold spiked 2-3x and I traded for SA keys. I remember all this because I kick myself to this day for letting go of those Gold books

Eddie is great, I recommend him as seller. I had posted group shot and was missing Seven Sea 3. He reached out that he had a copy he was willing to part with. We agreed on price and he promptly sent the book with great packaging. Thanks bud!!

But around 10-15 years ago, I started getting more interested in European comics after a trip to Paris and one of the many cool comic book stores there. Most of what I have are variants of Warren magazines (mostly Vampirella) from France, Finland, Spain, UK and Australia.
One of these days, I'll find the time to take photos and post them. In the meantime, thanks to all for sharing these truly rare pieces of ephemera!!
We are all just "comic collecting geeks" ... just wait until the bug really gets you, you will need another room just for all the foreigns... addicting
Brazilian Gold has many classic good girl covers.... titles of O Guri, Gibi mensal
