There aren't any, if so it's not intentional. Typically, those who feel they MUST find a connection will stretch things out until they make that connection. The walking dead is about survival for yourself and those closest to you; survival of the fittest. Neither of which is what Jesus tried to teach his disciples in the Gospel for example. I mean its not like you can 'save' a zombie, right? There are no christian connections to the WD Jerome Just another case of some group trying to align themselves with pop culture. Not when every other scene is shot in a church, and every 3rd line is about God, faith, belief, and some of the more weighted scenes (think Maggie and Glenn) are about faith and God. If not directly to do with Christianity, there is definitely a push for a religious element on the show. Re-watch some episodes and you will be surprised at how many references you see now that someone pointed it out..

I'm a fan of the tv show - parts were slow, parts were unnecessary product placement - think lime green suv that Shane drove - yea right!, parts were super religious and awfully pointed toward Christ and Christian virtues, which is so annoying on its face when TV pushes those beliefs...but I digress - Where else are you seeing sweet zombie action on a TV show?

also the art and the comic are really at its infancy -- think back to when WD was at issue 30...

I just think its tough to swallow that the prices have gotten so inflated. These covers were going for $500-$1000 not too long ago - Thats part of my logic why I think the WD price bubble will level off in a few years..Especially as more covers and more OA continue to get produced...

- for those that are interested - it seems that the most likely route for all new OA covers for WD will be set at an auction - heard it direct from Mark via email.

Backwards in time? Yes. Forwards in time? No way unless it's so vague that it won't ruin the narrative tension created over the last 10 years of not knowing who would live or die from issue to issue. Seeing any character alive 10 years from now destroys any chance of creating or maintaining tension in the storytelling as it pertains to that character. No matter what happened in regular time you'd know that the particular character survives it. The backwards in time I see happening as well, and am excited about it. I've mentioned this before, but someone at my LCS had a theory (which at first i thought was ludacris) that it would be kind of cool if we see the characters in a precarious situation, and the next issue opens back at day 1 of the outbreak, and its following an entirely different group of people. We then follow them for a certain amount of time, then eventually they cross paths with Rick and the gang, and it goes from there. I just feel that theory could greatly extend the life of the comic. or create a great offshoot
