  1. Wanted Comics 50 CGC 6.5 WHITE pages! I am not an expert on this title but I think this is the 2nd best cover of the run (first being 32). Buscema cover and art, odd Pink inks that were unstable so not common in higher grade (this is 2nd highest grade behind a 7.0). One sold over 2 years ago for $294. Some one is asking $1,000 for a CGC 6.5 OW/W - who am I to doubt his judgement? Asking $900. And remember, the transfer stain from this is listed above (The Thing! 4). Buy the pair and keep them together for history's sake! SOLD!!!
  2. Tomb of Terror 8.0!!! Light Tan to OW. Great Elias cover. Nice high grade. A 9.0 with similar/slightly better PQ sold a year ago for $898. I just can't see such a high grade book go for much less, so I'm asking $850.
  3. The Thing! 4 CGC 5.5 WHITE pages! Nice Zombie cover! Biggest problem with this book is the transfer stain on the back cover (the book it comes from will be listed soon as well Wanted Comics 50 - get the set!!!). A 6.0 with inferior PQ sold about a year ago for $418. I'm going to ask $500.
  4. Teen Age Romances 3 CGC 6.0 C/OW. This presents higher, but grade text states "2 center wraps detached" which brings the grade down. I'm not sure how that affects the price. A much worse looking 5.5 sold in July for $960. I'm going to start by asking $1,350. Let the market decide! And they put it in a magazine size holder - it was a little oversized (??) SOLD!!!
  5. Strange Mysteries 15 CGC 4.0 WHITE pages. My favorite cover of this group. Lower grade but nice PQ, great cover, and no GPA data. 2 for sale on eBay, one with a detached cover and one stated 1.8, both asking mid to high $400's. I'm asking $1,200 for this completely intact, white page beauty.
  6. Startling Terror Tales CGC 5.5 OW/W another L B Cole cover from Star. What more is there to say? Another book that has no data whatsoever. I'm going out on a limb and asking $550. SOLD!!!
  7. Space Western Comics 45 CGC 4.5 OW, last issue of the series, wacky title but great cover! Oh yeah, and an appearance by Hitler . . . a 4.5 sold about a year and a half ago (ancient times for these Atomic Age beauties) so I'm going to ask $600. SOLD!!!
  8. Shocking Mystery Cases 51 CGC 6.5 WHITE pages! This is a popular book (supposedly). Why not? L B Cole cover, decapitation, blood, floating eye. It's got it all! (well, except for a babe in distress). Nothing in GPA. A beater is for sale on eBay for $749, and a CGC 3.5 is for sale for $775 on another site. This is an amazing copy with white pages. Asking $2,100. ON HOLD
  9. Monster 1 CGC 5.0 WHITE pages! I love these fiction house covers - colorful, well drawn, beautiful ladies. Not as hot as the Ghost run. Asking $510.
  10. Eerie 16 CGC 7.0 WHITE pages! Nice high grade copy. No recent sales, a CGC 7.5 OW/W for sale on eBay for $1,999.99. Recent raw sale, claimed 7.0 but looks much less to me (chips, visible cb's, stressing, etc) for $835. I'm going to ask $1,350
  11. Eerie 14 CGC 4.5 WHITE pages! Great headlights, Girl with a gun, and an undead dude. What more could you want? Last issue with original content. Recent sales crazy high numbers, so asking $900
  12. Beware Terror Tales 4, CGC 5.0 WHITE pages! Blob eating his creators. Talk about ingratitude! Fawcett Horror. Asking $225 SOLD!!!
  13. We'll go in alphabetical order First up - Authentic Police Cases 24, great Baker cover, CGC 5.5 OW/W pages. Presents great, classic cover, what else can I say. Almost no sales data and I asked an expert, he suggested $600. SOLD!!!
  14. First, usual rules, no bad people, no HOS or probies, etc. First in the thread trumps all others, including deals made via DM. If we agree in private on a price, post on the thread (or ask me to if you want to remain private, but I can't be blamed for being too slow if someone else gets to the main thread before I do, so keep that in mind). Payment - PayPal up to $999, above that Check or USPS Money orders, everything has to clear bank before books sent. Shipping: Everything will included Insurance In Continental US is $15 for up to 2 slabs, $15 for each additional 2 slabs, unless you buy a whole mess of them and then we'll figure out shipping (better price, depends on what kind of box I can use to safely ship them all). Above $1,000 shipping free. Outside Continental US - we'll figure out a price These are CGC slabs so no returns. If it comes damaged I will work with you to recoup the cost from the USPS as they will be insured. Finally, a note about pricing - PCH is HOT. Baker is HOT. And a few of these books just don't have sales that often, or even that many graded books. So, I try to extrapolate from GPA and other sources, including what others are asking for the books on other forums. I am always open to offers and explanations of why you think I am overpriced (and even if you take the book and want to explain why I may have underpriced it I would be grateful - education is one of the objectives in life). Please don't be insulted if I don't accept reasonable offers, I am also about to set up at my first show next month (Big Apple Con) and it seems like I should keep some of the nice books like these to have on the back wall there. I'm going to leave this open through the end of the holiday weekend, closing when either all the books are sold (ha ha ha ha!!!) or Tuesday when I can close it officially and send out invoices. These have all been pressed - fyi. Thanks for looking!
  15. Terry-Toons Comics 1. No back cover, front cover detached, center wrap detached at top staple. Otherwise a beautiful example of the first issue of this run!!! According to GPA a 1.5 sold for $124 back in aught 2 (that's 2002), so inflation, Golden Age books going up, and this not being anything close to a 1.5, I'm going to ask $100.
  16. A set of books, for those who have been trying to nail down the run . . The United States Marines 2, 3 and 4. 2 and 3 are classic anti-Japanese (and racist, to boot) covers, 4 also has a barefoot Japanese soldier being shot by an American Marine (I surmise due to the title). Condition: 2 missing back cover, front cover taped (a long time ago) to interior. Corner where the 2 is detached but present. Otherwise a solid book . . . 3 amateur repair in that seems the cover has been glued back on (feeling of glue around staples). Seems the cover became detached and was glued back on. Cover itself is bright and presents very well. 4 from the Brittle collection so it presents well and you can look through it, but page quality is brittle. I'm going to ask $175 for the group. Cheap for these classic covers, and they'll present very nicely on a wall, but they are what they are.
  17. Final book here is Charlie Chan 6, nice 6.0/6.5 or so (would be better but for some tanning/staining on inside of covers). This is a sharp copy with smooth glossy cover except has some sort of crinkle in the very middle of the cover (under the "A" to just above the middle motor cyclists right shoulder). Simon and Kirby cover, first Charlton Issue, still sneaks in as a Golden Age book. GPA has a 5.5 went for $90, eBay had one for $49 (seller claimed high grade, closer look showed chipped/spine split, rough condition, dust shadow across top of book, maybe a 4.0). I'm going to ask $100
  18. Smash Comics 60 - looks incredible, possibly a 7.0 or better BUT it also comes from the Brittle collection . . . ugh. Oh well. This one has nice gloss, sharp all around, has small chip on upper right cover and first wrap. Sad for this book, but they can't all survive perfectly. Asking $75 for this one too.
