I collect J Scott Campbell covers but there's a couple of his that feature Venom that I think are just plain awful, so I will only pick them up if they are dirt cheap.

I agree, but I get a 'Titanic just before the iceberg' feeling about it.

I was following Gaiman's crusade with great interest. The comments in Gaiman's feed were eye opening as to how many art majors had no idea of the swipes, as professors omitted that info while teaching about Pop Art. I think anywhere Lichtenstein's paintings are displayed the original art should be displayed too. A lot of the original art was just flat out drawn better, just look as the Romita compared to Lichtenstein.

Well I hated it. Every plot point was telegraphed. Boring, derivative, with no honest reactions from human beings seeing ghosts, demons and the dullest end of the world ever. Everybody was just so ho-hum about what the were witnessing. Setting it in small town, Oklahoma didn't help. It felt small and unimportant with zero stakes. With the exception of the little girl (Phoebe?) the characters could have been cardboard cut outs. Avoid this turkey.

It was not good.
