So excluding pressing, what is the longest someone has had a book at CGC (actually delivered, not marked as received date)? Mine was delivered on 4/8. Magazine economy. Sitting at GEI.
I have a modern Fast Track that was received by CGC first week of April. Has been SFG since 6/22. Their theory is it was wrongly put in the "slow track" pile yet it cannot be located.

Same. Have no idea where my books are right now
They still have not located my modern fast track submission delivered in April and officially scheduled for grading 6/22.

Completely agree. If you really want to spend web development $$$ then I would focus on 1) removing the 8 month limitation on seeing your old submissions in the list and 2) more accurate/up-to-date TATS. Anything that could give the clients more transparency into where their submissions are in the processing phases would be greatly appreciated and would probably cut down on the number of calls they get from people asking where their books are. On the plus side, I guess it is a good sign that CGC are investing in their website.
Or how about the notification about the forms change comes with some information on how there will be a new barcoding and scanning system implemented with the change, that will cut down on handle time and and TAT by x amount of days, and improve accuracy of submissions being direct to the proper tier backlog. I would then be much more excited for the change. It's similar to them patting themselves on the back for finally getting caught up on opening their mail.

I honestly haven't had issues with their current submission forms. It's like trying to fix a garden hose leak while the dam is about to break.
Makes it much easier to add to the backlog of submissions. Pretty sure the old submission process isn't what they should be focused on as a priority.

Agreed, CGC should extend the time on the submission page to account for the long delays in getting books graded. It's something they should easily be able to do and something of good faith gesture.

It's almost that time. Dale Roberts Comics Holiday sale is coming.
I am planning on listing books on this coming Sunday night December 5th. Despite Covid, I've had an amazing buying year, perhaps my best ever, and I have been stashing books away since April. Looks like I've got somewhere around 8 mag boxes which will be offered during the sale, and I'll probably be adding a few things to it. I'll post a few preview pics later in the week.
Will be a little different this year as C2E2 falls the next weekend December 10-12, so I won't be listing in that time. But as always, the sale will last through December into January!
Gives me time to practice my F5 speed and posting time.

They misplaced an order of mine from April, that eventually made its way down the line and got graded.
This is just speculation on my part but, I believe these books were placed in the wrong boxes and there is no real way to look for them under their current backlog. Sucks it happens, but my experience is that they eventually do show up.
Thanks Joey appreciate you sharing and does make me feel hopeful. What frustrates me the most is that they tout their incredible handling and labeling and grading process on the site, yet a) the submission got placed in slow track when it was fast track, and b) they have no idea where it is or how to find it. Then to have been corresponding with them since August and they keep telling me how they have people looking for it for almost 4 months is just a joke. Give me access and I bet I can find it in four months. How hard are you really looking? I have interacted with various CGC people over the years both at shows and email and phone and they always were great to deal with and caring about the customer. During this whole experience I have yet to feel they even care about my concerns or having my business. Just really disappointed in them as a company and the way this has been handled. I guess I just have to wait and see what happens.

And all the while we get to read countless stories of "2000 book Slow boat sub delivered 10/01, shipped 10/04, all 9.8".........
Yes, and July submissions starting to ship out which were received after. It's like they lost June's submission. See a few problems reported for June submissions.

11/12/2021 response:
It does appear that your invoice is past due. I will send a message down to have them locate and rush the order.
Thanksgiving Eve response (11/24/2021):
We are still actively searching for this submission.
Just to level set your expectations, they have been locating and rushing my June order since August.

Still have 2x25 modern slow delivered 6/7 stuck at SFG.
When was you 6/7 marked as received in the system. Still waiting for them to locate my MFT delivered April, received 6/22 and has sat as SFG since. Started raising concerns in August and still not located. Last correspondence with the CGC rep working it was 11/9 they escalated to Operations Manager and our Customer Service Director and would let me know. Still waiting on a response. So they have had my books since April, have been actively searching for them since August, and can't reply in November. That is not a sign of a caring company. I have really been disappointed with CGC and their handling of this situation. Things happen I understand but there is no excuse to not discuss with the customer and come to a resolution.

and you're not the only one.
Seemingly, Fast-track has "accidentally" been put in the "slow" pile for one of my friends. That is CGC's reasoning for why they haven't found it
Exactly the BS I was told, yet slow subs a month later have started to ship according to this thread.

They didn't happen to also be celebrating the finding of my lost June submission by any chance?

9 modern books declared for $280... that's about $31 per book -- graded.
@NewWorldOrder - is this the Modern junk clogging up the system you're talking about?
Yeah, I have been way undervaluing my subs and corrected that in August. This issue made me realize the potential loss I take if they need to reimburse me the declared value.

what's your receive date from June? My 6/11's were graded a month ago.
If they are not graded by the next week or so then you need to talk to a manager. Those reps you talk to on the phone may not be able to do much besides give you the run around. I am sure they are not lost, but for sure misplaced. I would call in tomorrow and ask to get in touch with management.
I have talked to a few in management. Fees were refunded but still no clue where they are or when I will get my books.

They cant find your modern fast track invoice of comics?
Have they misplaced the comics since you mailed them in or after they opened the box and uploaded the comics to your account?
They were received at the facility in April, entered into my account in June, and that has been it. They told me 11 weeks ago they believe they were put in the slow track room, and still have not located them. Each week I check in and same answer, haven't found them yet.

I don't like to complain much, but I had them look into it the other week. They are going to expedite it once they are able to locate it. Most of my other stuff has been within TAT except for my signature books that were only suppose to be 6-8 weeks after the signing.
They have officially been "looking" for my June MFT submission for 11 weeks now and haven't found it.

I was told by the customer rep that on my end QC status would not appear?
Does that sound right?
She said some books were at qc, but that from where I could see it would only go fro GEI to shipped
That's new. I have never seen that happen.

after the book is signed
They presumably do the signing at the CCS area, so it'll say it's at ccs possibly but the actual pressing will take place AFTER the signing
Thank you so much @ADAMANTIUM. That is what I assumed and then just saw my book listed as received at CCS and thought not the order I figured it would be done. Appreciate the quick response and information.

I have a quick question on the signing/pressing/grading process. I apologize if this is a stupid question but have never submitted anything for inhouse signing. Do they press the book before or after the book is signed? Thanks in advance.

My books now show received 10/21/21 and my walkthrough is now "grading". Guess I got lucky and got in touch with the right person in customer service yesterday.
Yeah I have one that was delivered early May, marked as received by CGC on 6/22 they think got put in slow track. I have been talking to CGC for 10 weeks now and they still can't locate it.

I totally aly agree. I have subs that have been completed early actually passing submissions delivered months earlier, and others still sitting past the TAT.
