  3. THANKS!!!! I've had a couple people ask what's still available for sale, so I'll put together a recap and post it tonight or tomorrow morning. @davebo357, PM inbound later tonight to answer the rest of your questions.
  4. Also, if you don't combine both of your sales listings into one thread, the mods will take them down.
  5. Please read the rules for selling on these boards. You can't have these listed both here and on eBay at the same time.
  6. Let’s start and end Round 3 right here. All other books in this thread that haven’t sold are active again for the next 7 days. After 7 days, this thread is closed down again. Up for sale are two copies of a modern heavy hitter... $185 - Wolverine The Best There Is #1 Dell’Otto (Copy A) - Sent in for grading... now a CGC 9.8 NM+ $155 - Wolverine The Best There Is #1 Dell’Otto (Copy B) - Keeping for personal collection NM
  7. Yes, but how consistent have these been recognized by the graders? I'm willing to bet that a number of these 524 graded copies are actually Newsstand editions, and that there are much more than just 7 graded. Unfortunately there's no way to tell, but I know this has happened with a lot of other books too.
  8. Looks like @SammyBComics already posted the $2.29 cover info earlier on in the thread. Maybe someone can also post the $2.49 cover.
  9. Agreed. And I think this does give us some really good information. Maybe someone finally decided to update the indicia to reflect the actual cover price? Maybe they realized that the covers on these don't show a Canadian price, therefore the indicia should not indicate one either? Maybe, if we were to stretch our theories further, this was indeed a test market and the books therefore wouldn't be available in Canada, thus the omission from both the cover and indicia.
  10. You are correct. I guess I should have clarified a little better. I don't believe there are indicia variations between price variants of single issues. What I mean is that there are likely only three versions of each of these books. Do you believe there there $2.49 versions of FF #23 and #24 that have $1.99 indicia prices? That's what I would be questioning. Take #24 for example... With regards to "cover price / indicia US price", I don't think we have both $2.49/$1.99 and $2.49/$2.49 versions of this comic (nor do I think there are some versions that contain the Canadian price and some that don't). I think it's likely that all the #23 and #24 issues are $2.49/$2.49, as someone probably realized "we should update the indicia on this book to reflect the cover price". I'm curious what the $2.29 issues say inside, but I bet that the indicias are all the same across all the $2.29 books. Again, I don't think there are variants of variants here. We likely only have three total Newsstand editions, $1.99/$2.29/$2.49.
  11. As I mentioned in a previous post, I have multiple copies of the various X-Men books and this lone Cable #72 ($2.29). I did some monotonous checking today of each indicia to help contribute to the thread. Of all the books I have, my suspicions were confirmed. Every indicia states $1.99 US and $2.99 Canada. One thing I forgot to mention last time was that I purchased an X-Men #95 price variant which came in the same lot as an X-Men #94 Newsstand. Because these were from the same lot, I'm speculating that they came from the same source. The #94 is a double-sized issue and was priced at $2.99, giving us further evidence that the double sized issues likely do not have price variations. Interestingly enough, the indicia on this book states that the price is $1.99 US and $2.99 Canada (as does my Direct Edition copy). In my years of collecting, I've always found the indicias to contain "mostly correct" information. Outside of issues being printed by multiple companies (shown in the pence threads by @Marwood & I), I've never heard of a variation between indicias of the same issue. This seems like the last place publishers ever touch, let along attempt to be 100% correct every month. So of all the details here and in the previous 7 pages, I'm subscribing to and further solidifying three theories: 1) Newsstand price variations only exist for the titles of Amazing Spider-man, Cable, Fantastic Four, Hulk, Thor, and X-Men. 2) Double sized issues do not have price variations. 3) There are no indicia variations. Again, I'm welcome to be proven wrong.
  12. I've had people copy my descriptions and title word for word. I've even had people steal my images and post those as well. However, for the really lazy sellers, I've had the last laugh a couple times... Once I had a seller even use an image from my own personal hosting. Therefore, he was also taking up my bandwidth anytime someone visited his auction page. What he failed to realize is that I had full control of the image and the location of the image. After a quick change, my wolverine.jpg file no longer showed our favorite Canadian superhero... instead visitors to his auction page now got a nice, big, floppy, NSFW... well, you get the idea.
  13. I guess I've been holding out on everyone. Let's add another, then I'll give an account of my experiences... Here's the Cable #72 $2.29 Newsstand. So I'm a pretty avid X-Men and Wolverine collector, and I've been tracking these $2.29 and $2.49 Newsstand issues for years now. You would think that after years of on-and-off searching, that I'd have a bunch of these. However, it seems that these are all pretty tough to come by. In these years of searching, I'm of the mindset that Uncanny X-Men and Wolverine variants do NOT exist. (If anyone can prove me wrong and wants to sell me any Wolverine variant from #143-147, I'd pay $50 each for any condition and $100 each for NM or better). Of the X-Men (Vol 2) books I own, I've taken some details down about some of the purchases. X-Men #93 ($2.29) purchased from a seller in Monroe, WI 53566 X-Men #93 ($2.49) purchased from a seller in Concord, NC 28025 X-Men #93 ($2.49) purchased from a seller in Sterling, MA 01564 X-Men #95 ($2.29) purchased from a seller in Lakefield, MN 56150 X-Men #95 ($2.49) purchased from a seller in Tonawanda, NY 14150 X-Men #95 ($2.49) purchased from a seller in Cohasset, MA 02061 Now, these were likely eBay purchases throughout the years, so who knows if this was the origination point or if they travelled the country through multiple collections/dealers before arriving at my doorstep. Afterall, if someone were to pry these from me, they'd have datapoints from Chicago, IL. In my own personal experience, it has always been easiest to find price variants of X-Men #93 vs the rest of the field. Again, take that with a grain of salt, as I make no claim here to actual rarity or availability. Anyone that is up for trades, feel free to PM me. I have the following available in various conditions. 2 x X-Men #93 ($2.49) 1 x X-Men #95 ($2.49) 1 x Cable #72 ($2.29) - pictured above I'm looking for both versions of X-Men #96 to complete my X-Men set (since I don't believe variants of #97 exist). I'm also looking for both version of Hulk #8. I'd trade for any Uncanny or Wolverine issues as well, though like the X-Men #97, I think these are non-existent (please prove me wrong). I'm open to outright buying any of these issues as well if trades aren't your thing.
  14. Of all the non-Deluxe editions of the X-Men series, I've found that this issue is BY FAR the toughest to find. Took me over a year scouring eBay for one to pop up. Also, I was lucky enough to find a #205 2nd print at my LCS for a buck (two copies actually). As you said, that's also a really tough find. Great pickup by @aznfevr
  15. Books will remain available until exactly 7 days from their original post times. Let's do 10% off remaining Round 2 books until I close shop.
