  1. Very odd is the specialite of Grant Morrison. Limited series, though... more likely to be a short term pop. Don't overlook the Thief of Thieves / Peter Panzerfaust factor. Image is pitching this material to Hollywood. This looks like a pitch first, sequential entertainment second. ( I've had QUITE enough of "trippy Grant", but if this gets picked up as a movie, BOOM! ) IMHO Are you saying Hollywood is falling over themselves to make a film about a drunken cop and an invisible blue flying horse? Larry, really?
  2. That must be just in the U.S. I've had the whole lot of RvZ and Undercity listed on eBay UK for A LONG time with no interest at all. Not even a watch! Z vs R #1 (2006) pm me your grade and price please!
  3. (thumbs u Comics are not all about speculation. You can read them you know. Sure - and I do. Thing is Buddy, you have read 25% of the story already and are still not decided wether to press on. If it was a novel,it would be back in the library by now. Thats the only problem with mini's is that they have to delivery a punchy story from page one. Especially as this is only 4 eps,the reader has to be drawn in asap. Just my . Each to their own.
  4. Its getting some attention due to two different films being made. Ash Wood confirmed this by e-mail. The Lundgren one is in filming/production now. The Michael Bey one is in pre-production and starts filming next year. They are both based (and credited as such) on #1 and #2 of Zombies vs Robots. Maybe there will be more interest when this info goes mainstream, and not confined to the comic forums/websites
  5. Any Zombies vs Robots (original) getting much heat? Aren't any on the bay that I can find. Being bought up because of the two new films?
  6. Man this comic is becoming a Juggernaught before its even out. Any guesses on the print run?
  7. Ignore the queens of douchbaggery. Great slabs my man. Well done.
  8. Did you check for the printing error ($350+) before you slabbed the book?
  9. As I've stated before - why are those of you that don't like The Walking Dead interested? We like it,we collect it. If it bombs,we lose. I will be keeping my 9.8 run regardless of the value. To me,it is simply the best comic I have ever read. The show is a bonus. As for new readers /collectors, again as I've said before, many people ARE buying the comics on the back of the show. Don't forget - there are at least another 5 years worth of awesome material left to be screned before Kirkman has to write another issue. If you don't like it - fine. But every day there is someone wishing this comic to take a bath. Why?
  10. So Jim,tell us about the Nowell Brothers as many of us are as not as familiar with them as you are (well i'm not anyway..) Where did they come from and when did they start monopolizing the WD OA cover market?
  11. Fair play to the sellers. They saw an opportunity and took it.
  12. Now I've got a dog in this fight! That was me, and $400 was indeed paid. However there are a few other factors. 1) That included shipping to Australia 2) The book was very harshly graded indeed, after sending off for a press its passed a 9.8 pre-screen 3) It also included 6 x Saga #1 NM+ raw, one of which I just sold 9.8 slabbed for $150 approx. So if you want to consider this sale, factor in $400 for a 9.8 Chew #1 + 6 x Saga #1 9.8's (one of which has banked me back $150) plus shipping. The seller too,has to be commended, for being awesome to work with. I also may have a flair for rubbing people up the wrong way,but I am not stupid regarding modern comics. Let the record state that my current inventory when all are returned from CGC (sometime in 2018 apparently ) will show. All 9.8 or better. Revival #1 (inc variants) x 22 Peter Panzerfaust #1 x 4 Saga #1 x 12 TWD #1 x 3 TWD #1 international variants x 5 Watchmen #1 100 Bullets #1 Lucifer #1 Crossed #1 No Place Like Home #1 x 5 Last Zombie #1 (print run 1800) Nazi Zombies #1 x 2 (print run 1816) Zombies vs Robots x 5 #1's Irredeemable Antman #1 x 5 (ant man movie 2014) Preacher #1 x 3 Scalped #1 x 3 Y - The last Man #1 x 2 Epic Kill #1 x 3 (now ongoing) Fatale #1 x 2 Red Star #1 x 2 (New movie shooting in November) Hack/Slash #1 x 2 Plus within 6 months The Walking Dead #1 - #102 all 9.8 cgc'd. I learnt all this info off this forum and found the knowledge of Jim,Jeff,Krighton,Huge (Mr 9.4) Rosen etc etc pivotal to all this. Special thanks go to Giggling Monkey who steered me the right way from day one. You have to do your own research though - hence my pre-purchase of Bedlam #1 x 50 copies, and the mad search for Zombies vs Robots, but when blokes like C-Ya and CGCworld speak its wise to listen. C-Ya can be a patronising so and so at times but he has always been helpful and upfront. If you doubt his word,go look at his ebay page - you don't turn over what, $200,000 Jeff? without knowing your mess. Apologies for such a positive post but my team made the Grand Final (AFL) yesterday and I find myself still rather 'refreshed' I will be back to my usual annoying self soon (thumbs u
  13. Theres this one as well. Is this one of us? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/251152608043?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 Edit: Sorry,Just seen store name: Blackstar Comics
  14. Mark usually sends his goons to my place to muscle me into my next purchase.
  15. Last ime I looked was in the locked threads post and currently in poof a-ginn. The word 'handjob' is being bandied about. Its not looking too good for our impotent rapping, paternal raping pasta favorite. He's quite upset.
  16. They've got to finish humping Jimmy the pasta boys dead carcass first. I'm sure the posse will get here in good time.
  17. I hate to bring you literary icons down a bit but one of our own here was way earlier and in a more glamourous book IIRC our very own 'Peas of ' has a letter published in TWD way back in the #30's or #40's! Now thats the heightbar there gentlemen! However,if you win that groovy figure HR,then you are the undisputed king of fanboyism... (thumbs u
  18. I'm sure a guy with a great career and an awesome comic collection most certainly does. However he cannot escape the fact that he looked 100% better with Linda Hamiltons haircut. And thats just a fact Jack!
  19. OWNED Ive seen your picture. You have nothing to be smug about.
  20. I did ask you directly in my email to you. You replied, and I quote "I have asked that Charlie sign all his new pieces from now on". I have,of my own free will spent nearly $1000 at your store and greatly enjoyed your product and service. I still don't see why new pieces are unsigned after you saying they will be. If the truth is a 'pot-shot' then guilty as charged. Neither of mine are signed, and the written letter I asked you for - confirmation you recieved from and acting for,CA - was a photocopy of the sales invoice. As a customer being told one thing, and recieving something else,I will take pot-shots whenever I like.
  21. Is funny that Mark can get these from Skybound yet refuses to contact Charlie for signatures on the OA. According to Hay, its because CA resides in the UK - but if he's selling for CA, surely he can phone him and go "Charlie - please sign each page". Apparently its too hard. Whats your take on this?
  22. ...aaaand it's going up on splash <3 Bloody hell - that was quick! I wonder when Mark got these?
