  1. yep (thumbs u As soon as the buyer posted the in your sales thread it's a done deal. Out the bastich. the member is timesthepain. YOUFOUNDJAKE, I am very sorry, I realize that I made a grave mistake. I will do whatever is neccessary to remedy the situation. I hereby publicly acknowledge that I did do what YOUFOUNDJAKE claims, let me know what needs to be done and it will be so. Also, I promise I will never let this happen again. -jimi Can't get fairer than that. :golfclap:
  2. Yeah - but if he has a room full of heads in TV screens and screws his undead daughter whilst raping the bejesus out of Michonne, then really, I think I will hate him too much to care what he looks like! All seriousness - he is a very, very good actor and is a well known face in the UK.
  3. ...or you could let him know that you're aware that's he's pulled out of a deal in a probation worthy manner prior to coming your way & tell him he needs to clear the air on backing out of that deal first before you'll deal with him. Whatever Andy and Jake agree on works but unfortunately this is something that people unfamiliar with the trade etiquette on the boards are likely to run into. In some cases, rather than run people like this off the boards - maybe we need a probation list wrist slap... edit - maybe outing people's behaviour here and getting on everyone's private 'do not buy lists', regardless of PL nomination outcome, is the wrist slap Done as you have advised. He makes it right by Jake before he buys my book. I feel like a martyr now without the painful bits..
  4. Up to you if you want to nominate for probation. If he does the same to me,I will as well, but as I said, upto now, everythings been ok.
  5. He offered me cash and a trade as well, but I wouldn't take any cash until the book was in hand so he's done nothing wrong to me as yet, unless it was the same book he tried to buy off you.
  6. yep (thumbs u As soon as the buyer posted the in your sales thread it's a done deal. Out the bastich. the member is timesthepain. Oh hang on - this guy is PM'ing me about a Peter Panzerfaust 9.8 and agreed a price with me. Is anyone else in the same boat as the OS or is this a one-off?
  7. Regarding CGC 9.8's, and I know i'm going to get blasted here, but I honestly think we on this thread should let each other know if we are planning to dump a few on the market. It would be daft if say, Krighton,Ryan and myself listed 10 on the same week, when with a little info, even via PM would make selling our slabs at a premium for all? Just a thought, and one I will shortly be spanked soundly for no doubt. (thumbs u
  8. I'm just glad I didn't start this fight for a change (thumbs u
  9. Sorry Bagel. Now theres 3. 92 x 9.8 6 x 9.4 and someone submitted the 2 lonely 9.4's...was it your mate HR? theres 82 x 9.8 of the variants combined. (thumbs u
  10. I just put up a trailer that I am insanely excited about, and seeing as you are on the Walking Dead thread,I thought it might be enjoyable for you as well. Sorry it wasn't.
  11. NO! WE ARE FANS OF THIS !!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShQz68Zkb3Y Enjoy!
  12. Thats the one! I never took a copy before it went off Splas - so thankyou very much for that. Yes it was the quirkiness of that page that made me buy it. Splash still has individual pages under $150 that whilst not exciting,do feature a large number of characters. There was one from the party scene in 'Alexandria' that had Glenn,Maggie,Carl,Rick,Michonne,Heath etcin it,albeit in the background. I would have bought a few more but it was a priority cash wise between OA or getting the rest of my TWD run slabbed. Thanks again!
  13. Ah..ok it was 7K then. Still what a great sale price. And 17K for a run is awesome as well. They must have bailed due to the price crash next week.
  14. Just looked. There are 7 9.9 Blue labels and 3 yellows being 10 in total. Maybe one of them went for the 17K? Someone will correct me I'm sure - its obligatory here apparently - but I am certain I read about a near $17,000 Walking Dead sale.
  15. I'm was told there was one and it went for $17,000. Have you checked the census?
  16. Hey Bagel - try the European Union ebay boards. Got a sweet #1 - #7 all 9.8 candidates as is,for $1700 inc shipping and insurance. Guy even threw in a #61 for free. Prices seem to be cheaper over there for some reason, think they may be a year or two behind in the 'must-have-it' stakes. I'm sure a UK based boardie will be along soon to tell us why.
  17. Its 10 years old now - hardly a 'new' series. I get that $500 is a lot of money for some - I really do. It just means that those people will not be able to buy them, just as the likes of myself cannot afford a GA key. There are too many people who will just hold onto them, and 7000 copies (minus ones that have just 'disappeared' or are of a very poor condition) will keep a residual value. I guess if we knew what would happen in five years then both of us would be rich! One thing I will say is that for every person buying one for $2000, there are 3 others paying less. I now own 4 TWD #1's all 9.6+. They cost on average $400 each. Other like Jeff and Jim paid much less as they got in early.Fair play to them. The number of people paying $2000 is quite small and I would be very suprised if they were nothing more than people who wanted a nice one and that $2000 was small change to them. Just like a $60,000 comic is to others. I hope you find a nice copy soon
  18. I completely agree. I've been reading the comic for almost five years now. I started collecting the "back issues" after I was reading it for about two years, and I almost made a complete run. I'm only missing 1 - 4, but I stopped just before prices went up excessively. It sucks that I don't have them - but I'm not paying more than my perception of their value for them. I started buying original art from the series because I didn't want to fork over the money for the first four issue. Unfortunately the "saving money" part didn't really pan out on that. I think when prices on raw issue 1's comes down around $500 I'll buy one. A decent copy will never, ever go down to $500 again.
  19. Wow Bagel - dude that sucks. BTW how much smack does a Hulk 181 get nowadays?
  20. It was issue 45 Pg 5. Rick is lying in bed with Alice and Lori fussing over him. In the comic - no hand. In the OA - theres a hand! Charlie must have been working too hard that week!
  21. Thanks! Your LCS must love you come Saga release day!
  22. The OCD in me really wants to know the makeup of those contents. How many #1's etc etc...
  23. They have been going for around 75 + Shipping for a little bit now and will probably sit around that until the return in a couple months, I don't think this will drop off much more, and I bet you will get that much when the auction ends tomorrow. I'm thinking this is just too good of a book to see much of a drop off in price, even during the mini-hiatus. Although it has dropped a little since June, if the book picks up where it left off, I think the price will also pick up some. You were spot on - $137.50. Thanks!
