Beige replied to Buzzetta's topic in Comics General
Is it true you have 3 testicles? If so, do they have names? -
So while we are all in lockdown - I recommended a series where the main characters city is in.......lockdown. Apologies folks.

Season 3 - on Netflix now! Just what's needed to while away those lockdown blues..... Seriously love this show. Simple, easy to follow, good tunes, pretty good family fare. Switch on, tune in, stay safe people. Groovy!

Garth Ennis's 'The Boys' the next Ennis series for TV!?
Beige replied to Mr 9.8's topic in The Movie Forum
Yup - because they basically didn't stray too far away from the source material in season 1 What next - no-one else juices up besides the girl? FFS - Stormfront is a neo-nazi superpowered male racist, second only pretty much to Homelander. Not 'an empowered feminist who can manipulate weather'. so yeah - -

So, Why Has AF #15 Continued to Drop In Value?
Beige replied to KEY ISSUES Comics's topic in Silver Age Comic Books
This may sound harsh, but if you buy say a $50,000 book and then panic if it drops $10,000, you maybe shouldn't have spent $50,000 in the first place. Is anyone seriously planning to retire by selling a stack of Silver Age Keys? No. This is (or should be) a collectable hobby where owning the book gives you pleasure when you hold it, read it or show it to friends. Sure, nobody wants to lose a heap of money, but if the $$$ gain was the reason for buying books, then it's probably the wrong one. The world is in panic mode, with a new virus, regional conflicts and an unstable stock market. The flu will run it's course, the survivors will be immune and a vaccine will be found hopefully in a year. C-Vid19 will be next years seasonal flu. Things will settle down, toilet paper will be for sale at the shops again, and the world will turn. Sadly, yes, people will die, and this time there could be quite a lot of fatalities until Govts get to grip with things. This isn't Ebola,( which is still ongoing in The Congo currently with 2600 deaths and hardly gets a mention funnily enough), the world won't end, and the economy will eventually recover. Then people can spend money on funny books. In the meantime, tighten your belts, pay your bills and put food in your fridge for your kids. The important things. -
I just looked at the bulb box and they have UV blocking so should be all good I think?

Seeking advice please. My comic room has zero sunlight coming in (outside sunblind and inside blinds) so I'm using 50w wide spread halogen mini spots in a 4 bulb tube light. Will my books be affected long term? I purchased 50 watt rather than higher wattage. The 4 spots are about as bright as one normal room lightbulb. Has anyone had fading issue with their books (all are slabbed) using 50w halogens? Thanks in advance

My road to success (Moving Update 2)

Seems to be selling sportscards. Comics - failed Bitcoin - failed Sportscards - failed Now seeking consignments..... On the brightside, at least his cosmically charged girlfriends don't seem to have done away with him and taken his body to a new dimension. Yet. So there's that, I guess. -
Just read the Marvel Ultimate Graphic Novel Collection hardback of House Of M Damn good it was too.

Oh Dear. At PG-13 I think we pretty much saw ALL the highlights. Feige may finally have got one wrong.

After that interlude of really good stuff - back to my normal drek One spinner rack missing its top, pulled out of a tip. Not old, probably 1970/80's but FREE! Suitably adorned with garbage books and now I just need to find someone local to make a repro top - coz I ain't paying $500+ for one! Did I mention it was free and in a tip? -

FYI as per GPA 9.8 blue 2018 ave - $2316 2019 ave - $2013 12 month ave - $1989 90 day ave - $1630 You're welcome. -
Just spend some serious money and do it right or not bother... On, off, on, off - series, Movie, series, transgendered characters, don't upset the religions or feminists.... Did anyone actually READ the content before giving the green light. You have to tell 'Y' as it was written or it will be a bigger pile of poo than preacher or outcast. I'd prefer they just cancelled it now, and wait for serious money and do it justice.

I'd rather they did both. Jessica Jones Season #1 was superb. You just had to get into the plot and understand it wasn't about smacking people upside the head. Considering the money that was spent on Dark Phoenix, imagine what that cash could do with 2 new series of The Punisher and Jessica Jones!

Thanks for the unpaid, exhausting and potentially life-ending service you give freely to the nation. That you do not get any form of remuneration is an Australian disgrace. From me - a huge THANKYOU.
