  1. That's not a 9.8. its an ebay 9.8 You're not a 9.8.
  2. Firestorm 1 Btw, how did the ASM 238 turn out?
  3. Yes, as someone pointed out it's a very high bid for the winner either way. Could be an attempt to sway the market, but one bid won't do that. I only found it trying to sell one of my own trying to see what they were currently selling for. The (1) feedback multi-bidder is an obvious shill; the other bidder is a fool. "Sway the market"? You guys watch too much TV. Fortunes are not made on X-Factor 24s. What if you had 1,000 of them? I would sell them very slowly.
  4. Only 5 or 6? Nice score. Hard to find in the wild. For what it's worth, the last two collections I bought had both. In fact, they each had the entire run into the 90s.

  6. An interesting point. At the drugstore I worked at, in 1975-76 the books started having UPC codes on the covers, yet we didn't even have a scanner at the time. Hell, the cash register wasn't even digital.
  7. What constitutes this being "no-contest"? While I'm not informed about the G.I. Joe reprints, the first issue of The 'Nam quickly went to a second printing due to demand in 1986. (I first started collecting right around this time, and the reprint was on sale around the same time as issue 3 or 4.) You're right! I forgot all about Nam #1. Thanks! That does raise an interesting question, though... How fast does a later printing have to show up to differentiate it from a reprint (such as the Joes, printed 2-4 years after the fact) vs. a "second" (or third, or fourth) printing? Ghost Rider #1 was an instant sellout, and the reprint was ordered and printed very quickly, but how quickly...I do not recall. They're all reprints. It doesn't matter what you call them. And by you, I mean anyone, not you personally.
  8. Which, of course, is why the then 8-year olds are now scrambling to buy copies of these. (thumbs u
  9. What about the COA from MCS that says there are only 5k copies? http://www.auctiva.com/hostedimages/showimage.aspx?gid=1172680&ppid=1122ℑ=676776509&images=676776464,676776509&formats=0,0&format=0 The COI is from Lone Star Comics. Lone Star Comics and mycomicshop are one and the same. Pwned! ....yep I just went there Not anymore. Buddy sold all his retail stores last year. +1 Something is weird about that. when I purchase from MCS it shows up Lone Star on the address. If you go to the MCS website, it shows a Lone Star location and has "copyright of Lone Star" at bottom of website pages. Nothing weird about it at all - read the link again. They sold the stores, which will be renamed. They probably retained the name and copyrights.
  10. C'mon . . . where's the Wold Cup OMG from the Brazil-Mexico match
  11. This title sounds like a Rodney Dangerfield joke . . .

Lone Star Comics and mycomicshop are one and the same. Did not know that. (thumbs u Lone Star always seemed like a reputable bunch. I don't get the same impression from MCS, but since it is largely a consignment shop (on eBay) that doesn't necessarily reflect on them, I guess.

  14. Probably worth noting that the Green Arrow 1 from the New 52 sells significantly better on eBay than the Green Arrow 1 from 1988 that keeps getting cited as heating up by a certain someone in the copper forum. So note it elsewhere.
  15. This is the Copper forum. No one really cares about New 52 here.
  16. The series ended on issue #72. Issue #55 to #72 had ridiculously low print #'s and there are also Canadian Price Variants of these issues. Add to that, that they are tough to find in high grade as they weren't consider true Turtle books by the Mirage Studio turtle collectors. It's no surprise that these issues will be sought after. Goodgollymolly - you mean my Archie Turtles are actually worth something???
  17. Oh, I don't know about that . . . The TPBs are selling quite well also - particularly to international clientele.
  18. That's a pretty healthy number, yet there are probably 200 more easily buried in long boxes across the country.
