No, that's not a hard and fast rule. Other members have gotten off the list by crying and whining and yes, lying.

It would seem that he doesn't want to be contacted by you. I'm guessing that he gave you a chance to complete the deal within the 30 day time limit, and you chose not to. Anyhow, I am sure he has/will see your post. I really don't care what you do with the guy to be honest. He's on ignore. If that is the case, then I would like to request to be removed from the list. Whatever was between me and Pirate is now over Perhaps you can give us an explanation as to why it took you 2 years to try and rectify the problem. That might help. I ask because without first having a good reason to remove you from the list, a guy like Cap Freek, for instance, can just wait until the people he hosed aren't actively posting and get off the list as well. Well, maybe he actually grew up . . . I say take him off, Pirate doesn't care and he's showed a willingness to pay up.

I purchased a big dollar book from him. Thankfully I did not use personal payment for paypal. Looks like I need to start the process of getting my money back. For myself I'm not out anything but because the potential of your type of situation is why I reported it. I wish I had done it sooner but I like to give people here the benefit of the doubt. If either of these techniques worked and the stench was completely removed would the seller then have to disclose? The answer to your original question depends upon the OSL (Overstreet Stinkiness Level) of the odor; if it was worse than an OSL 5 as it sounds like the book is, then it wouldn't be any higher than 6.0 Fine. As for whether or not you would have to disclose the removal of the odor, the answer is YES, of course! It's restoration to remove the stink. Also, if the odor smells of corn nuts and feet, then most likely the odor came from one of the press operators at Sparta taking a dump on the book, and in that case, CGC wouldn't downgrade for it at all as it is a manufacturing defect. I wholeheartedly disagree with this...I really don't think it should matter whether or not it's the press operator or a 7-year old kid with the runs who does it, a dump is a dump is a dump and should be downgraded for accordingly.
